Rangers Set To Take SPFL To Court

It does me good to see Rangers so determined to maintain some pressure on the SPFL.

I just hope the compensation awarded is significant - enough to embarrass the rest of the league as they see their money going to Rangers because of the incompetence of Doncaster's mob.

knowing our luck we will probably win the case and get a token award of one pound

Ha ha yes I suppose there is that possibility. I wonder who it is at Rangers that's pushing the campaign against Doncaster ....... Bennett?

I don't believe we are in this for a financial reward. An apology and legal fees - the apology would in some ways be more "rewording" than a token award.

Have the SFA handed Rangers the opportunity to finish off the SPFL ? 😋

I wouldn’t think the SPFL would be able to survive the financial fallout of losing the court case & paying off Doncaster ( & MacLennan too hopefully)

If Doncaster was ever found to be in serious breach of his contract, could he whistle goodbye to that 24 month payment?

You might think, if Scottish Fitba' inhabited the Real World.

The 2 years' notice, and the ludicrously high salary, and ancillaries, seemingly were put in place to keep this many splendoured man at the SPFL, and to ward off suitors.

The more cynical might feel that it is always easy to reward a loyal lieutenant with other people's money.

If Doncaster is really irreplaceable, or as near as dammit to it, then we really are in trouble.

It's a strategy that should please many in our support, but does run the risk of making us look foolish if it only helps galvanise them.

It all boils down to winning trophies.  If we win the league, the world is rosy.  If that lot win it, it's all doom and gloom.
