I don't think Tillman wanted to remain at Ibrox.  It really boils down to that.

Anyway, will MB figure out what his best side/formation is before Halloween?

The arithmetic actually isn't that great.

Buy for 5M

Forego 1M bounty

Sweetener to Tillman 1M

Sell for 12M

Residual 5M

%age to BM 1.2M

Outcome 3.8M

It's still better than 1M, and a possible 10% of the PSV fee.

Purely speculation, of course.

And there may be VAT.

Names in a hat for Servette.

Let's hope it's a Magic Hat.

Maybe should have signed James Milliner.

I saw the whole game Idisi, Kilmarnock tried harder, played a winning formation & had better chances.

They were only out to destroy any sort of football and you can defend much easier with 8 or more players and make the opposition look stupid. It was a not-loosing formation, a formation we call anti-football. I have seen this often last season in Scottish games and der Berliner told me it has become standard. But where can you rank this "standard"?

I was responding to this point:

"Coming to think of it, in these games, we should try Dessers/Danilo and Roofe up front and Lammers directly behind them. We need able strikers up top, and we still play but one."

We played 2 strikers, arguably three as Sima is more of a forward rather than a winger.

It's more like where they played. We had one centre-forward in their box, while the others where roaming about the sides our outside the area. I want them inside the area and the passes coming to them there, not from them in the hope that a midfielder et al covers the space too.

Yeah, a helpful player in that regard, but the received wisdom seems to be that he didn't fancy another season of Scottish hammer throwing, and Scottish refereeing. Thus, he would have been more the conscript than the volunteer.

Tillman has gone, get over it. He was good in a poor team when he could be interested. He was brutally anonymous when he couldn't be bothered, which was too often. If he does return to Ibrox with PSV I hope we kick lumps off him.

We, as a support, have a weird tendency to pine for former players (and managers).

We're so sentimental, it's almost creepy.

Often after slating them every minute they're here.
