Were Potter to come to Ibrox, to rebuild his reputation he would have to win the league and/or have a spectacular run in Europe. Having done that he would be whisked back to England. Is that what we really want?

That's true for every player and manager.

If they get poached, it means Ramgers are doing well.

I'd bite Potter's hand off. Brighton should be our role model.

So, it’s come to this. The Famous Rangers have to learn from Brighton and bleeding Hove Albion, Football League, Division III (South)

But you’re right.

Whilst Sundays defeat lays firmly at the door of Beale some of the vitriol directed at him online has been beyond the pale.

You're right. Unfortunately, all clubs have dregs of society within their fanbase. In this day and age, social media allows them to spout their vitriol without consequence. Best thing to do is ignore and block these morons.

One more failed managerial appointment and you'd have to conclude the board doesn't know what it's doing.

Our current (and historical) requirements/ expectations* aren't realistic and they don't look likely to change in the foreseeable.

* beating Celtic/ winning league title

Do our expectations change or do we routinely go through the same process ?

I know it won't be a popular opinion, but the reaction to last week has gone out of hand by some margin. We are 4 match days into a season and bowed out of a competition that we do not belong to, unless people enjoy sadomasochistic evenings in mid and late autumn.

We sure have our work cut out, but, as we say over here, we should also leave the church in the village.

Not ideal but I think you have to give him time to properly incorporate the summer signings and find his best starting combinations.

Pre-season laid bare that we were undercooked and what has happened was always on the cards.

Obviously the period of time given will be reduced if the tendency of performance and results don't improve.

After financial front loading of squad development, we are staring at a potential widening gulf re. Españolification and as expectations get more unrealistic, fewer clued up managers will even want the job.

Are you complaining about Españolification or asking for it?
