That’s usually a very reliable guide. Uniquely the difference in the present case is that they have by SP standards a reasonably well oiled machine that needs a light touch -  Clement? Rangers need someone who will bang heads together and deflate egos and light a fire under the team - Muscat?

Clement is 6'3''.

I'm not messing with him...

I haven't heard anything but it would make sense for the manager to be announced tomorrow or Saturday so he can have the full week with the lads.

It's not like we're stacked with internationals atm either, which says it all really.

If it's Sunday evening and we haven't heard anything then that's just negligent imo.

Negotiation isn't a case of just getting what you want as soon as you want it.

I'd rather wait a few days and get the right man on the right deal.

It's inconceivable the board hasn't selected their target by now but tying down a deal is another matter altogether.

In any case, things wouldn't have got this far unless all parties believed an agreement was possible and I think an announcement can't be far away.

That will be the time to leave behind the despair of the Beale era and adopt a renewed air of optimism, however temporary it might be 🥳

As the days pass I have gone through my indecision, wavering, changing my mind and am back firmly in the Clement camp.  I think they are both potentially good managers but I think only Clement has the European experience and pedigree and we need the European money to go forward.
