Popular Post Bluedell 5,329 Posted October 22, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted October 22, 2023 There was a laudable pre-game SRTRC promotion with the players holding up a red card in support of it and an anti-racism and anti-sectarian message over the speakers. However it's all meaningless when the police allow a sectarian anti-orangeman banner to stay up at the front of the Hibs support for the whole game. Would they allow it if it was a picture of the pope or the star of David with a score through it? Thankfully common sense prevailed and banner was allowed to stay. I did notice some banners and fans being removed from away end, but can't say I saw what the banners were. I know I would be. I'm not a legal expert but possibly the banner in question would fall foul of the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021.
