I don't think our lack of midfield 'control' matters - it's what Aberdeen are trying to do; congest that area - as long as we bypass it effectively, which we've failed to do.

Leon King has been playing midfield for Scotland U21s - but don't think that's the solution to our problems. Need to stop being so wasteful in front of goal.

I think he's took the ball in well so far today and made good space at times but his use of the ball (like Lawrence and others) has been poor.

 

Both need a good run of games after injuries.

Defending has been awful. Not even complex defending: it's aerial duels. 

 

Try to win the duel, if you can't, your partner has to sweep in behind to get the second ball. We've done neither well. 

 

I think Souttar would be better than Balogun.

We need to play more quickly, through their aggressive press, but our passing has been, em, " variable", so maybe that is precluded

If we're not going to make a sub, I'd at least swap Lawrence and Cantwell around.
