I'm not an expert but this is similar to some of his signings at Brugge and Gent IIRC. I'd wager some of these are scouting team recommendations and manager's go ahead to sign.

If Clement can fix Beale's mistakes in one window, I'd be amazed.  He might not be that far off doing it, although (as always) the proof will be in the pudding.

Cortes situation sounds similar to Cifuentes - signed for Lens in the summer, been unable to settle now being put out on loan. Hopefully he can settle here as we need him and other signings to hit ground running.

The current Latin American connection is intriguing: Silva, Jetfe, and now, Cortes.

 

And the rumours swirling around Lorenzo Tierra de Pierna refuse to dissipate. I wonder....three days left....

 

Note of course, that we have done quite a lot of business business late in Jan windows, before they glided shut. My source who takes to do with such things

For those still hankering for us to sign Shankland, both us and them had scouts at Tynecastle on Saturday. However, I don't think we were looking at anyone in particular, both us and them play Aberdeen in coming days / weeks and that's why we were having them watched?
