If the game has been cancelled over their unwillingness to shell out £3k then they should be punished.

From what I can gather, travelling on the day of an evening match is their standard procedure.

Punishing skint provincial clubs for stuff like this would be just another way to make football less even and less appealing (take an extra £15-25k out of their annual budget and then moan about them playing defensively - erm...).

Positives of game being cancelled;

- no new injuries and a much needed recovery period before the OF game.

- I wasn't going to make it tonight due to work and family commitments.

- homeless / foodbank get a load of much needed food.

Negatives of game being cancelled;

- another rescheduled game in an already congested fixture schedule.

- a potential opportunity to close gap lost.

Anyway, it is what it is.

Our kick off at Dens was delayed due to our team bus being late.

Slightly different circumstances as I’m sure we stayed overnight at St Andrews a short drive away but an unexpected road accident caused our delay.

Not sure a 4 hour bus drive a few hours before a game is ideal preparation for footballers either but if they can’t afford a hotel they can’t afford it.
