Who should be the new manager?

Had a few brandy and cokes last night.  No excuse but...explains why a normally impeccable stylist deviated  minimally from a standard of perfection.

Finished that for you.

The names of the potential new managers don't exactly fill me with excitement or optimism. Of course, Ancelotti may be am total success but I can't help but think he's got where he is because of his dad.

Gerrard? Meh. Been there done that. Success? Not really.

Russell Martin? The worst of the lot.

I would like the new manager to gather them all in a room and tell them to forget all this Rangers history nonsense tell them this is a new Rangers new owners new manager a whole new set up let’s get our act together and go out and win matches history means nothing stop living in the past move forward or move out .

I understand what you're saying but I fear his style of football, especially in Europe, would have us blown out the water. Maybe he's learned from his numerous failings at Southampton with the whole playing out from the back, pressing all the time and leaving g huge gaps for the opposition to exploit.

In all honesty, I wouldn't go near the 3 of them.

I'm kind of flabbergasted by that! Especially from someone who constantly reminds us that the players from our history were infinitely superior to the current incumbents. Perhaps you are suggesting some sort of reverse psychology? Are we starting afresh on day one by clearing out the trophy room and donating the contents to the Govan Scrap Metal Franchise?

compo's a maverick.  One minute he's banging on about the Iron Curtain defence or Jim Baxter, the next minute he's saying we should change our home strip or to dismiss our history.

Great men know the past, present day and future should all be considered, all the time.  That's the same for a football club.

Yes, but if Martin gets the job, @compo's sage like qualities will be revered.
