Gribz 1,260
@Rousseau did come up with a good list and I was trying to think of more while avoiding the names the usually get branded - same as in past transfer deadline days when Robbie Fowler was being spotted at Glasgow Airport. In the past Ive been a fan of a lot of Dutch managers, I did like Martin Jol a good 10 years ago. Hence I thought Ten Hag. I also thought about the Laudrup Brothers (Michael Head Coach, Brian Assistant). They have been out the game for a while but the wealth of footballing knowledge they could bring would be frightening. Michael did have that spell at Swansea (amongst a lot of other Managers short term) but hasnt done much since but if we are going the Head coach type and including a past Legend who knows the club then Id welcome those 2.
Scott7 6,713
Everybody fails at United. There is no football chalice more poisoned. If ten Hag is looking for a charity hobby the job should be his. Diverging off topic, I wonder who United’s Souness will be, namely the bloke that swaggers in and revives the failing corpulent toad. Whoever does it will be made for life. Not looking forward to the day but it’s coming though not tomorrow.

United should have given Moyes another season

Knows how to beat up provincial Scottish teams and knows Glasgow fairly well. Hypothetical again. But does anyone think there will be another Mo Johnston moment yet for a manager who will manage both Rangers and Celtic? Personally I think Artificial Intelligence has more chance.

CammyF 9,421
Any manager/coach worth their salt will quickly work out how to beat teams in the SPL. In fact, all they need to do is watch our games from this season and do the opposite. We are slow, disjointed, unfit, play pedestrian style of football. Get the players fit / mobile and play a quick passing, relentless style and we'll blow teams away. It's not about budget, it's about getting the players fit, motivated and playing a style others can't handle. Junior teams could set up to be hard to breakdown against us.

I don't think that's an issue this summer. We've let go most of those, and are down to bare bones. We're ready for the next phase of our rebuild.
