Kenny Miller - Deal Completed

Recommended Posts

Exactly the way i'm thinking of it. I mean I don't agree with all this "Miller is pish" talk, I think hes a good player. I just wouldnt welcome him after the badge pumping.

I'm the other way round. Yes he tried to ingratiate himself with the mhanks. but that is not my major concern. I am worried we are wasting important transfer funds on a striker who couldn't score in the proverbial barrel of fannies. He's like a jammie fan who;s conned his way into a team. Blood and guts, runs around like a "mad yin", has a bit of pace but is clueless and lacks actual footballing ability.

I agree. The 4-5-1 system has served Walter well with Scotland and in his first full season back at Rangers, especially in Europe, and I can't see him dropping it in the forseeable future. This is because with Scotland and in Europe with Rangers more often than not we were not expected to prevail and hence a defensive counter attacking system was the way to go. Is not a system we should really have to be using in the SPL though.

Miller was his favoured player for this position with Scotland and he'll be hoping he can get same kind of performances out of him for Rangers. I feel that Kenny could do us a job though, and if Walter can team Millers work rate and endeavour with Boyd's goalscoring instinct in a 4-4-2 system in the SPL then I think we could be onto a winner.

The thing is that if you're playing 4-5-1, then doesn't the "1" have to be able to score? For Scotland McFadden was our successful "1", not Miller.

The folly of such an unpopular signing is that there will be HUGE pressure on him to perform - has he the character to cope? I'm not sure he did at Celtic and the badge kissing smacks of desperation to get fans on his side.

I think i will take a few years Sabbatical as a Rangers supporter until Walter decides to call it a day. If his idea of improving our football team is bringing in Kenny Miller then God help us. Walter fucked up our ten in a row. I hope he doesn't give it to the tims on a plate.

My attitude for anyone who without good reason wants to leave Rangers in any capicity be it player, manager or supporter - is goodbye, you won't be missed.

I totally agree i wouldn't be missed. I also could never not support Rangers it was just a tongue in cheek post. I am praying the Kenny Miller rumours are not true though.
