The Brazilian stopper has been outstanding for the Dutch giants since moving to the club two years ago. He arrived from Santos, but it was in a deal done with the funds of Chelsea - who always maintained the right to take him to Stamford Bridge. It was widely thought that after two years he would indeed move to West London. However, PSV have already stated they want to keep him next season and now they have concluded that they should tie him up on a permanent basis. "We want to buy Alex or partially buy him off Chelsea," PSV chairman Rob Westerhof told Voetbal International. Chelsea bought him from Santos as one for the future and loaned him to PSV as they had Terry, Carvalho, Gallas and Huth at the time for Centre Backs...... Chelsea snapped him up as they must have seen potential but put him out on loan to test him on the European stage. colshy18 0 Posted July 14, 2006 Share Posted July 14, 2006 Coz its Chelsea!! bull, gribzy!!!! we bought him from santos and let psv use him because we liked the look of him but wanted to make sure he got good experience and could maybe come back and challenge for a place rather than have him rot in the reserves. now, the whole sitution has worked because he has become an outstanding player at club and international level. if psv are disputing this case somehow, then they`ll never get anything from chelsea again. it was all agreed by gents and only now have PSV become somewhat greedy wanting to keep a player they have no rights to. alex ias a chelsea player who was lent to psv. if they want him they`ll need to pay a good few bucks because he could certainly do a good job in defence for us right now. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

They aren't disputing the case though Colshy - look at the guys final sentence - they want to BUY him from Chelsea - yes they have no rights to him but they just want to buy him in a regular business transaction (or at least partially buy him - I would think this part works like it does in Italy where you can have more than one club owning a player). as for it being a dodgy deal I agree with you, Koeman and Chris - it isn't dodgy at all - Chelsea pay, Chelsea's player, goes on loan - simple 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
