If they copy their model at Leeds, they'll increase their shareholding once the become the major shareholders. I'm sure when the started at Leeds they were minority shareholders with circa 25% of the shares.

Match Thread [FT] Aberdeen 2 - 2 Rangers (Igamane 49; Hagi 90+6)
CammyF replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
So the goalie who backed up Raskin with the sheepie fans was the hero last night as Rangers won the Glasgow Cup. In an interesting turn of events he is ex-Aberdeen Phil Maguire's son. -

🤢 A can't say it mate, even in jest 😂😂
-
Perhaps someone wiser than me, that's all of you, could explain why these guys would plough money into Rangers knowing they will enhance the value of the shares belonging to the other 49% of shareholders 🤔
-
I think i heard the commentator say that the player who scored the goal last night is the first French player to score for them in this years competition

Pin it on your lapel? Now that takes talent. Methinks you have been reading Flann O'Brien.

So blue and / or white, glad that was cleared up 😀

Rangers takeover: Deal agreed in principle

You may already know this but they used to have a medal warded in Ireland for the best Gaelic speaker: it was called 'the Ersehole.' You could pin it on your lapel. -
Did he not take that photo on his box brownie?

You fools! Don't you know @compo was there 3000 years ago, when four lads had a dream!

Had a wee delve into it there, the white kits did come from a rowing club, that several Rangers players were already affiliated to. But we just went on to actually use them in games as an alternative to our blue jerseys, and started making the same uniforms ourselves. After making our own - a club photograph was taken, the one we all know. Earliest known photo of Rangers FC.

I stand, or sit as the case may be, corrected 😁

Its interesting to see PSG looking a very capable outfit, having pivoted from the 'Galacticos' transfer model, to buying the best young talent in France, supplemented with some foreign talent, and some established French players like Dembele. The young boy that played up front, Doue(?) they bought from Rennes for 40 million looked good (unsurprisingly). Its a far more sustainable model than the one they had before, and might even bring them more success.

Yeh, that sounds correct.

Rings a bell. Don't think Rangers ever actually played a game in that white kit with the blue star, was for the photo only iirc. We originally played in blue rugby jumpers, in line with stealing our name from a rugby club 😂
-
Were those tops not loaned from a boating club for this photo? I am sure I read somewhere that they had to borrow those as their own tops were filthy, having played a game that day.
-
That's our first manufactured kit. It's not the first kit we played in, we played in blue rugby jumpers. Or do you think we played shirtless until 1876?

Wasn't there a dedicated thread for broken records?
