  1. He could have easily sat safely directors' box, but he took the easy way out and hide inside as he knew what was coming.
  2. After the second sending off, Lawwell and Reid were seen disappearing very quickly out off the director's box in the direction of the Rangers media room where Lennon was watching the second half on the TV after being sent off after being humiliatingly being unable to control his temper yet again. I wonder what damager TLB was causing that it needed the likes of Lawwell to calm him down?
  3. It's an interesting read and sounds plausible on the whole, although I disagree with his conclusions of the third last paragraph.
  4. I can't see any reson why Ticketus would be secured. there was no security ever put in place so why should one appear now. I fail to see how they could argue that but perhaps I don't have all the facts, but the fact that we "won" that is fairly meaningless. I'd suggest that Tickeketus won the important argument.
  5. Reminds me of my wife
  6. Yes, they will do, but it was worthwhile doing, even though we didn't win.
  7. They will probably be able to get the cash back from the pay as you go sales. Their 80 page contract will not allow us to get out of it that easily.
  8. Perhaps there's a way she could work on her grip?
  9. Agreed. I can see your argument and perhaps under different circumstances I may take a different view, but I'll admit to not being 100% unbiased.
  10. They should not be dropping any clients. Solicitors should examine whether there is any potential conflict of interest before accepting any case, and therefore I'd suggest that Harper McLeod have not done what other firms would have done.
  11. The annual £10m shortfall that we had has now increased to £16 million+, given the huge chunk of our income that is going to be diverted to satisfy the interests of the investors of Ticketus.
  12. Ticketus are making it quite clear where their priorities lie. What say you, Blue Knights? Does this look like Ticketus will meekly accept a renegotiation of their contract afterwards?
  13. If they have Celtic as clients then they should not take the investigation. They can continue to represent the SPL on other issues and Celtic if they so wish, but there is a conflict of interest in this case. Whether they believe that they will act independently is not relevant. they are not performing the normal duty of lawyers and acting confidentialy for their clients. They are investigating a third party, the impact of which could benefit a client of theirs. They have a responsibility to give the appearance of impartiality and they have failed on this already. There are plenty of other lawyer firms that represent neither side of the old firm and they could perform this instead.
  14. I don't see that as being relevant.
  15. It's wrong that solicitors who act on behalf of Celtic are asked to perform an independent review of Rangers, which could end up having a beneficial impact on their clients. They should consider it a conflict of interest and recuse themselves. Lawyers need to have an appearance of independence as well as their own belief of independence.
  16. Barry McGuigan will lead a debate on how faith, football and sport more widely can co-exist at Kick It Outâ??s inaugural â??A Focus on Faithâ?? forum at Birmingham Cityâ??s St Andrewâ??s Stadium on 11 April. Former world champion boxer McGuigan will be flanked by fellow speakers, ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joe Jackson, a football development co-ordinator and devout Christian, Alex Goldberg, Chair of The FAâ??s Faith in Football Group and a consultant to the JDC Europe, the largest Jewish humanitarian organisation in the world, and Peter Allen, club chaplain at League One side Sheffield Wednesday. The event, which is free of charge with refreshments provided, will bring these speakers together with people from different backgrounds and religions to look into how faith groups can best use the game as an engagement tool. Aisling Cohen of Three Faiths Forum, an educational programme bringing diverse communities together, Altaf Kazi from As-Suffa, an Islamic centre catering for the needs of the Muslim Community, and representatives from Sporting Khalsa, a predominantly Sikh football club, will all contribute to the discussion. During his career, McGuigan brought together Catholics and Protestants at the height of The Troubles in Northern Ireland, and is aware of the powerful role sport can play in uniting people. â??My background as a Catholic who married a Protestant was a symbol that communities could integrate and live side-by-side,â? said McGuigan, who will be reflecting on his past experiences during the forumâ??s opening address.
  17. Good statement.
  18. Probably not. That was Leggat's second attempt at trying to find someone with a RC/Celtic connection who could be blamed. There's never been any suggestion elsewhere that Fullerton had any influence over the Rangers account.
  19. It depends on the figues involved. If the ground generates £100,000 pa but it was sold for £5m then it's a good deal for Stockport County. If it generates £2million and it was sold for £5m then it's a bad deal. It may be a bit simplistic to assume that the club is worse off just because they have sold their ground.
  20. I understand that each of the various groups mentioned above nominates a rep to attend the meetings.
