Yeah, I don't see why those who have been vaccinated can't be allowed back...although I'm possibly missing something.

Is there enough seats for everyone? I understand that some have to stand in the Members.

Gers 6-0 Defoe -
Itten and Roofe are the Morelos replacements.

We made a loss of over £10m last season and will do the same this season. Yes, we can sell players and not spend to replace them to fund the loss, but there's no guarantee that we won't get knocked out early in Europe. There's a difference between breaking even or making a profit in one season and claiming that we're self-sufficient. We're also heavily reliant on Gerrard's fantastic team to identify and improve players. If he was to leave at the end of the season, for example, we'd struggle to replace the backroom team with the same quality, and therefore our ability to raise cash from player sales will suffer as well. King's claims of self-sufficiency should be put alongside his claims that we wouldn't be issuing more shares at 20p.

A reduction in sectarianism would be a good thing obviously, but let's not equate calling someone an orange/h*n/f*nian/t@ig bastard to what Kamara had to put up with. It's not even in the same ball park (notwithstanding UEFA's warped standards).

Dave King was saying that so that fans would buy into the C1872 appeal of buying his shares rather than putting their money into the club.

Yeah, around £21.5m in the last 6 months. Around half of this is converting the director & shareholder loans that were in place at the end of last season, with the balance being new funding. It was expected that we would need £8.8m of funding by the end of the season, so it's largely in line with expectations. We will also need £14.4m of funding for next season (including a loan repayment to Dave King of around £5.5m), and I'd guess that the plan is for that to be funded largely through player sales and hopefully CL qualification. As for this as a strategy, it got us #55, so it's OK in my books! There isn't really much of an alternative at this point, as I'd presume that our third party financing options will be limited. The medium term business model of selling players will need to kick in now though as the well of shareholder funding must be lose to dry.

Good to see you've come across. Welcome.

Rangers appeal Patterson, Bassey, Zungu et al bans

I think that there were new stricter rules introduced after Bolingoli. -
It's the norm for me, mate. You're correct that most have to pay, but my ticket is a bit more expensive but covers all games. It's good for some seasons, but definitely not this one as I'm not benefiting from the extra.

I'm sure I've read that before, but definitely worth re-reading. Thanks for posting. -
Cup games are included in my season ticket.

We may be arguing that the precedent for a 2 game suspended ban was set with Dundee Utd's Mark Connolly. He was apparently charged under the same sections as our players. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54375701 -
There's no similarity between Johnston when he was at Celtic and Griffiths? Really? Anyway, it's not my argument. I was just joining out what I thought it was, while recalling my view on Johnston at Celtic was similar to my current view of Griffiths.
-
I'm hoping that Rangers get their finger out and realise that it should be included in my virtual season ticket. Is it available to purchase on RTV for those "outside the UK"?
-
The disdain held by Rangers player for both players (pre-signing in the case of Mo) is similar. Mo was probably more hated, and if we can accept him at Rangers, then we should be able to accept Griffiths scoring for Scotland would be the argument. I think it's a reasonable comparison and I, for one, was extremely uneasy having Johnson at the club for the first couple of months, and would feel a similar unease at being happy at a Griffiths goal for Scotland.

British Lions? Rugby copes with it.

Do away with the Scottish national team and just have a British team that we can all get behind. ??

I don't think we'll find out anything today that we didn't already know. -
Yeah, I was never in favour of expanding it, for the same reasons as above. It was more competitive back then, but I don't think he change is due to the number of teams but rather the changes in finances created by Europe, and the greater ability to sign overseas players.
-
I thought you supported Spurs?
-
You wouldn't have picked a "colored" player? So you would have called a white player a monkey?
-
They may strengthen a little, but not by that much (just a gut feeling) I'd still prefer to play an extra 2 times against Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs than Raith, Dunfermline and Dundee.
-
I don't have a major issue with the current set-up, although there are some inherent problems with it. I'm not really in favour of 18 teams. Reduces the overall quality and we end up playing a lot more "crap" teams, and less big games. TB's solution is an interesting one. Keeps the competitive nature as we play the best teams 4 times, decreases the number of games by 2, although the clubs may not be in favour of that.
