  1. To be fair, when a takeover happens, it is usually a clean sweep all round and they will certainly want to appoint a new coach. At the moment we cannot afford to hire a long-term coach knowing he is likely to be gone in few months. That's why it seems sensible to appoint Charai.
  2. You want Sean Dyche doncha? Go on, admit it? He might do but only till takeover is complete.
  3. On your way back can you pick up a good caretaker?
  4. Even worse I've seen Jack Wilshere and Wayne Rooney given short odds. Steve Davis for me the best shot.
  5. You might have a point in that they turn up for Europe because then they are in the shop window.
  6. I well remember being at Ibrox when we got beat 1-0 by Morton, Jim Tolmie scoring the goal. The crowd was 5,000! That led to big changes.
  7. Think Scott was being ironic; he could have added Pep to that list.
  8. "..stepped into a church and began to pray."
  9. No but we might have to sing "My Darling Clementine" (.."was a miner, forty-niner")
  10. Off topic but we're getting Fenerbache in the Europa. Away leg first. Would rather have had Bodo.
  11. Reluctantly I have to concede that the days when supporters could rely on wealthy fans - John Lawrence's building empire or Louis Edwards butchery business - are gone; we are in a globalist economy. I just hope Mr Marathe does not get total control like the Whytes or the Greens.
  12. I hope not. Our main stand is a listed building. Everton recently butchered their Archibald Leitch stand on moving to the new dock. I wouldn't mind seeing the corners developed but not wholesale changes. We could make more of Edmiston though. My main hope is on the playing side; will we be able to afford to keep Hagi and Cerny for example?
  13. They've just made another £38 mill. We will still be miles behind financially so don't think they will go into meltdown just yet.
  14. Are you badly injured?
  15. We have to give the Union Bears some credit here; maybe they knew what they were doing with their 'MAGA' pun.
  16. Well, Tom English has just written about it on the (sorry!) BBC!
  17. I don't think you are in the minority. Huge numbers of fans in England hate the moneyed clubs, hence the glee with which the demise of Man city is being viewed. I would want to see all clubs being fan-owned with the fans having control not just representation. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one..."
  18. Move Tav to linebacker; he will also be our place kicker expert. As for quarter back - could we get Charlie Adam back?
  19. Patrick Stewart has repeatedly denied that is the case. We have to consider before sacking anyone just WHO we could get who (a) would want the job and (b) who is available.
  20. "This is neither the time nor the place for honesty." 🤣
  21. Well - if you can win whilst playing badly, that's title-winning form isn't it? Isn't it?
  22. Now we will find out if they are playing for the manager or not.
  23. But that is virtually our strongest team is it not? (We can agree re Lawrence though.)
