  1. No two were more vilified than Tav and Dessers just a few short months ago. What do we know eh?
  2. Think I read that one side will have to reduce its total holding. Don't think it will happen in the near future.
  3. Well, you're good with words and you have your nose close to what comes out of Pacific Quay. Can you unravel this gobbledegook from Tom English: It's fair to say that Ferguson's stellar era at Rangers as a player did a whole lot of heavy lifting in his employment as caretaker boss. Read it several times and I still cannot fathom it!
  4. We should all watch this. Main thing I took away from the American guy was the marketing angle which has not been exploited nearly enough by the club. The Rangers diaspora (my cousin is in Melbourne) appears to be an untapped resource.
  5. You just have to hope he's more grown-up now.
  6. Could be worse, we could be Manure - they've just made a third of their workforce redundant.
  7. My main reservation is with McGregor as goalie coach if we assume he is to be permanent. Can he really coach Jack Butland in the arts of distribution a la the modern goalkeeper?
  8. Think Barry had a 27% win ratio. At.....Alloa. cf Charai who won the AFCON U23 with Morrocco. Barry is a keelie cf to the articulate gentleman that was Clement. Struth, Waddell or Walter he is not. Saying that I hope he and his team at least stop the rot. But I'll be jiggered if he is the long-term manager.
  9. To be fair, when a takeover happens, it is usually a clean sweep all round and they will certainly want to appoint a new coach. At the moment we cannot afford to hire a long-term coach knowing he is likely to be gone in few months. That's why it seems sensible to appoint Charai.
  10. You want Sean Dyche doncha? Go on, admit it? He might do but only till takeover is complete.
  11. On your way back can you pick up a good caretaker?
  12. Even worse I've seen Jack Wilshere and Wayne Rooney given short odds. Steve Davis for me the best shot.
  13. You might have a point in that they turn up for Europe because then they are in the shop window.
  14. I well remember being at Ibrox when we got beat 1-0 by Morton, Jim Tolmie scoring the goal. The crowd was 5,000! That led to big changes.
  15. Think Scott was being ironic; he could have added Pep to that list.
  16. "..stepped into a church and began to pray."
  17. No but we might have to sing "My Darling Clementine" (.."was a miner, forty-niner")
  18. Off topic but we're getting Fenerbache in the Europa. Away leg first. Would rather have had Bodo.
  19. Reluctantly I have to concede that the days when supporters could rely on wealthy fans - John Lawrence's building empire or Louis Edwards butchery business - are gone; we are in a globalist economy. I just hope Mr Marathe does not get total control like the Whytes or the Greens.
  20. I hope not. Our main stand is a listed building. Everton recently butchered their Archibald Leitch stand on moving to the new dock. I wouldn't mind seeing the corners developed but not wholesale changes. We could make more of Edmiston though. My main hope is on the playing side; will we be able to afford to keep Hagi and Cerny for example?
  21. They've just made another £38 mill. We will still be miles behind financially so don't think they will go into meltdown just yet.
  22. We have to give the Union Bears some credit here; maybe they knew what they were doing with their 'MAGA' pun.
