  1. We will get pumped if McGregor plays. When he came on his first contribution was to give the ball away; can't tackle and can only pass sideways. How the hell he got 30 caps is incredible.
  2. I noticed that and thought in the context of the article it was totally unnecessary and irrelevant; while I agree that the flouting of social distancing was not a good look I could hear nothing of a sectarian nature or anti-Irish chants. Maybe people listen for what they want to hear.
  3. What an odd comment. And didn't think I knew.... what?
  4. ?I'm not. With antecedents from the North I always have NI as my 'other' team to support when Scotland aren't available.
  5. I'm not a football administrator but it would be nice if there was some support and encouragement from among our fanbase. I would love to move to England or North Atlantic League or whatever. (Off topic but I believe the Benelux countries have been given the green light by Eufa to merge.) Otherwise I want the Scottish League to be as good as it can be - and being minus a sponsor for several years was hugely disadvantageous.
  6. It was Johnathan Pearce. Tyldesley also started saying 'Camera' but then changed it after being informed how Glenn says it, I think.
  7. At least it makes a change from betting and drink which are both dubious. All these sarcastic comments about the league we play in yet whenever anyone suggests moving to a better league all we get are reasons why it can't be done.
  8. BBC commentator tells us that Eufa had a team of experts to instruct them on pronunciation of players' names. Pity he could not get Glenn Kamara right.
  9. More convinced than ever Italy will win; don't think they misplaced a pass all night.
  10. What would you have them do? It was the players' decision not the SFA so who is gutless?
  11. You must be the only one who got that!?
  12. Is he actually an Athenian b...ard? Sorry.
  13. Now, I asked my Australian cousin, Rangers and Melbourne Victory supporter, for his thoughts on Ange can't-spell-his-name; his response was that he was a first-rate coach who had success everywhere he went, but that he was saddened to think he would now be joining a 'second-rate club'!
  14. I didn't realise there was a vacancy; who was coaching them up till now? Nevertheless, Defoe is a welcome addition.
  15. If they play the way Greece did, then perhaps. They had no natural striker and won their games by good defensive organisation. They had no outstanding players and won a lot by 1-0.
  16. Agree. Celtic only had Welsh in the U21 squad. Anyone know what position Ben Williamson plays?
  17. McBurnie is well known to be a Rangers fan. Like L. Ferguson that seems to be the only source for these speculations. Doesn't mean they would suit us. I'd rather see youngsters promoted to the first team squad.
  18. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12019/12317220/northern-ireland-squad-jonny-evans-and-steven-davis-unavailable-for-friendlies-against-malta-and-ukraine Rightfully given a well-deserved break from comparatively meaningless friendlies.
  19. No doubt one day a definitive book will be written detailing exactly who was responsible in the main for this whole sorry mess. I remember Sir David Murray saying again and again that he would never sell the club to anyone who did not have Rangers best interests at heart. I recall a poster on here - name of 'Maineflyer' - who warned us time and time again that Murray was not a trustworthy custodian. I wonder if he knew something.
  20. I'm a fan of that too. Love it.
  21. I'd thought Argentina 78 had seen the last of that nonsense. Only time I've been embarrassed to be Scottish. They even had a victory parade before departing for the tournament. Thank you Ally McLeod. Our target should simply be to achieve what Wales and N.I have in recent years - just get out of the group stages.
  22. Thank goodness. Thought I was about to read another obituary for one of my heroes.
  23. By 'support' I didn't mean turn up and cheer for them - I just meant 'hope' as you say. By the way, a propos of nothing, in Australia, they ask, "Who do you barrack for?" - meaing who do you support!
  24. Trouble is Eufa keep changing the rules so it is becoming harder for one club to amass points all by themselves. If others don't chip in we may find ourselves not qualifying.
  25. I received some criticism on here when I said I supported all Scottish teams in Europe because we needed to up our co-efficient. Now I'm delighted to say that it was only increased because of our efforts entirely.
