  1. fully three days later and not a thing about who is playing who and where. SPFL - Absolute shambles in everything they do.
  2. It pretty much sums the SPFL up where they can have a whole programme on BT Sport devoted to the draw for the groups of the cup, and once it's done nobody is going to know the fixtures until next week. We have 4 games against 4 opponents over 5 match days. Why can it not have been a pre-determined fixture schedule from the outset, then when the draws are made everyone knows who and when they will play. As always with SPFL a total shambles.
  3. The answers will be short and sweet and his total disdain and contempt for them will shine through like a beacon. He believes he should be allowed to do as he pleases with his own Company and he certainly doesnt believe he should be answerable to some jumped up politicians who dont have a clue how to run a business and are merely looking for a soundbite. His arrogance knows no bounds as we know to our cost. I will be utterly amazed if the appearance at Westminster, if it ever comes about, does not look exactly like this.
  4. The fixtures are completely randomly generated - but only after celtic get to choose who they play and when.
  5. The league cup seedings has always been based on the finishing positions of clubs the season before. As we were in the second tier we are behind the top tier clubs from our geographic area. Instead of being able to arrange friendlies against Derby or Linfield (to pick out two at random!) we now have to try to sell tickets for (potentially) our two home games against Berwick and East Stirling. All the more reason to be raging with our dreadful cup final performance.
  6. Dont bring facts and logic into play JTP, it doesnt fit with the reason for the made-up story.
  7. Absolutely not. We knew all roads led to celtic immediately. This article, naming O'Henley, is completely worthless in proving this was a stitch up from the scum. UEFA stand behind FARE, FARE stand behind its delegates, we sang the songs. Proving that there was an orchestrated campaign to place anti-Rangers men inside the ground to hear the songs doesnt make the singing of the songs go away. There is no fairness, parity, or impartiality where these organisations are concerned. Our club and fans have to be much cleverer in future. For example there have been many celtic European away games where the full IRA-oke has been clearly heard, and UEFA receive no complaints, and these things are never mentioned in their delegate reports. We have to ensure this changes.
  8. Club 1872 is about as independent from the club as Peter Lawwell is impartial on the SFA committee.
  9. As the Record is Celtic's official media partner it is hardly surprising that they continually write negative stories about our club. The sooner we strip them (and the other press too) of all access the better.
  10. I had to double check that this wasnt a thread from 5 years ago. I dont see the relevance of this today. We know we got stitched up regularly in Europe by our enemies over the last decade. We know FARE was anything but. I thought it was common knowledge that O'Henley was part of it. I seemed to recall that I knew that at the time. With everything we have going on at the moment, not to mention we failed to get into Europe for next season as well, I really dont see the point of this article. Am I missing something?
  11. The signing of defenders for next season should be the absolute priority, and then a goal-scoring striker. If we sign half of the midfielders we are being linked with, we will have more than our rivals, and they had about 35 of them at one point I think! That squad as it stands looks very weak, and I would also take issue with the category many players are in between midfield and forwards. McKay, Forrester, MOH, are all wide forwards, not midfielders in our formation, and pretty sure Windass is a midfielder, he certainly is always listed as such on livescore team line-ups.
  12. Absolutely scandalous story that our club must challenge TODAY! This attempt to re-write history is something we were all predicting would be attempted this week, and we must not allow it to happen. There are thousands of Rangers supporters (including myself) who are able to provide eye-witness evidence that is contrary to this outrageous nonsense. The fact Irvine is behind something as clearly fictional is not a surprise to us.
  13. I cannot see Warburton change tactics for next season away from his beloved 4-3-3. He tried to change it for Easter Road and binned it after an hour, never to be seen again. He goes on about how plan B is to do plan A better, so I dont see a wholescale change of formation for next year if he can bring in the players to play plan A better than the season just ended. As for our signings so far, only Barton looks like a starter to me. Rossiter will not walk into our team after 5 first team games for Liverpool in 2 years and numerous injuries - wouldnt be surprised if he is loaned out to see if he can play a few games without getting injured.
  14. Was about to say the same. Halliday is one for me that is not quite at the next level. He is not great as a holding midfielder as we were far too often exposed, and his few games further forward were pretty poor. If i'm honest I cant see him being a regular next season if we bring in the quality we need.
  15. For how long Boabie, a year? Two? Forever? If everyone done the same what level of support would we be able to give our team at away fixtures when they need it most? I'm not against a boycott, I wont ever set foot inside Tannadice until Thompson is gone, and I wont ever go back to the piggery either, but I know we will still sell out these venues (thankfully it wont be tannadice next season) so a boycott is a personal thing that wont be mirrored by the rest of our support. As a long-standing member of a RSC that only goes to away games, if we were all to boycott those clubs who voted us out in 2012 we would not have a RSC left. The social side of going to Rangers games, the friends you make, the memories you retain of great away days, are all a part of what it is all about. It is usually better than the actual games!
  16. Has there been any interviews with our manager yet about the game, his thoughts on it, player fitness etc, as well as the obvious outrage at his players and staff being assaulted, and us not even being presented with our medals? Given we seemed to be doing pressers every day in the lead up, it has all gone quiet now when we need to hear from him the most. I can imagine he is being advised by our PR/media team how to handle this, but there are a lot of angry and frustrated fans out here wanting to hear from him, and in particular if any of our assaulted players/staff are badly hurt.
  17. I expect/hope so too Rousseau. However Warbs is on record as saying he likes to work with a small squad. I said back in August that I cannot square the circle of a small squad and the workrate we put into games, and that I believed we would struggle to keep our early season performance levels going for a whole season. It has been no surprise to see us losing lots of late goals in the last two months of the season as our legs have definitely gone. We havent played a good game of football (bar the adrenalin inducing OF SF) in about three months, and I think that is partly down to the intensity we played with for the first half of the season with the same 13 players playing every game. We constantly scored late goals and outworked our opponents in the first half of the season, and the reverse has been true in recent weeks. Shades of '94 also when we wrapped up the league very early and went virtually on holiday prior to a Cup Final against a team that had never won the cup and that we had beaten comfortably on league duty. United were up for it then and we played poorly with a very tired squad making mistakes. And that was us going for historic back to back trebles, something that will probably never be closer again. At least United managed not to invade the park back then.
  18. We have a formation and a footballing philosophy, but we do not have any tactics. Tactics are an important part of the game. The great managers see the game unfold in front of them and use tactics to change the way the game is going to their favour. Our manager has a footballing philosophy that he believes is the only way to play football and refuses to change any part of it during games. It is a naivety that is staggering, and is his greatest failing as a manager. Substitutions are a way in which good managers use tactics to change the pattern of play. Our manager uses subs as a method of squad rotation. I have been banging on all season about the two bombscares masquerading as centre halfs and Warburton steadfastly refused to bring in replacements in January or make changes from his existing squad. In addition to this, his January signings must be questioned as two of them were cup-tied. Given the Scottish Cup was our only route to Europe, the purchases had to be able to play in this competition surely? A big error again, especially a loan signing who can only play in league games. I have been pleased with Warburton overall but these major errors have to be fairly criticised as the criticism is most certainly due. Plenty for him to work on between now and our league cup sectional ties in mid July (how sad it is to even type that instead of UEFA Cup qualifiers). Thankfully we know he is a bit of a workaholic and we have good people around him that will all be working hard over the close season to ensure we are ready for the challenge of next season. I will be very disappointed if more than 6 players that participated yesterday start our first game, and I am giving the benefit of a lot of doubt to a couple of players in that. In reality, only Wallace, Holt, McKay and Waghorn look like top tier players, and it is doubtful if Wes, Halliday, Tav are going to be good enough when we step up a level. We know for sure that Kiernan, Wilson, Miller, Shiels, Clark, Law are all surplus to requirements but getting them all out of the squad will not be easy for those under contract. We have bought three players already but none of them are of sufficient quality to improve our first 11, more likely squad additions to beef up the squad with the above departures and loanees returning to their parent clubs.
  19. Yes absolutely I have. I know I need patience to let Warburton sort it out. It is quite another thing to HAVE the patience required!
  20. In much the same way as Ashley was running Rangers with only 9% holding, I have heard a few times over recent months that Ashley virtually "owns" Puma, as well as Lonsdale and a couple of other brands that are heavily stocked in SD.
  21. Unless the assistants have the balls to overrule him when he gets it wrong it doesn't matter how many of them there are!
  22. And still no centre halfs being linked, which will cost us any chance of the title or European progress if it is not sorted out. Wilson & Kiernan have had a full season at a lower level to show their ability, and there is no way anyone can be confident of success next season if they remain the first choice duo. I love that we (mostly) do our work without it being leaked all over the place and I am hoping the new centre halfs are being worked on as we speak. Patience required!
  23. Thanks for that Boabie, an actual resolution at the CFC Plc agm that is nothing to do with CFC Plc? Wow! Infatuation doesn't quite cover it does it?
  24. Been out at theatre tonight so only able to watch last 7 mins of ET. Delighted that our boy Windass scored the first goal as I had a couple of quid on him at 9/2 just for an interest. Obviously players are knackered after two hours of play, but from the little I've seen there is no quality at this level, just blood and snotters. Wimbledon have just won it, so Windass can go on holiday now and be ready for pre season.
  25. I have been looking out for AS results since we signed the two lads, so take an interest from that angle that you want them to be fit (not had much luck there) and playing well at whatever level it is. I think it is akin to signing someone from the juniors. You might find a Bobby Russell once every 40 years, but the rest are at that level for a reason, and unless you have an emotional attachment to the clubs there, i dont think many neutrals would want to watch it. That league probably still gets more tv money than our league, so go figure as they say!
