I admit I don’t really follow the ins and outs of goings on at the piggery, but I haven’t a clue who the people are in the pictures by the gangrene brigade on days 102 & 103, can anyone enlighten me, just for my amusement?

What sort of fecked up, mental, unstable kind of bheast goes to George Square when their biggest rival wins the title and it’s been well documented that our fans will be there in huge numbers? Any time the bheasts win anything the very last place on earth I want to be is in the middle of their celebrations! Add in that we ruined their 9.75IAR and it makes it even more unbelievable. I know we have our own Neanderthals but surely to goodness we don’t have fans as unhinged as that?

3 of my top 5/6 are all in the same group and may not all get out of the group. World Champions France, European Champions Portugal and eternal big-stage favourites Germany. Mouth-watering stuff right from the group stages, i'm really looking forward to the tournament this year. As for a winner, I think the winner will come from this group, although usual candidates Italy & Spain can sometimes come through strong when not being too hyped up, and there is always England and Belgium, although I think neither is strong enough in all areas to win. With 4 3rd place teams also going through, it should keep all the group action and permutations interesting right to the end of the group stages, and then knock out football at international level is usually entertaining enough so I am hoping for a very pleasant tournament. As for our (Scotland) chances, I really cannot see us getting a point from either England or Croatia, so any chance of an historic progression as a third place side will only happen with a decent win against the Czechs in the first game. I fear we may well be out the tournament after 1 game, and lose all 3 games, perhaps even without scoring. I hope I am wrong but I cant find much to cling on to!

Please announce Kennedy, go on go on go on go on! Or Callum Davidson, Yogi Hughes, Paul Lambert, Henrik Larsson, Martin O'Neill, or similar. They are well into panic buy mode now, this shouldn't end well..... Which is nice.

Helicopter Sunday - what's your memories?
Tannochsidebear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes that matches my memory of that game too. It was quite surreal. Compare that to the scenes at the Scottish Cup final a decade later. -
Makes no real difference to St Johnstone I don’t think. 1 round and out as per usual.

Helicopter Sunday - what's your memories?
Tannochsidebear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I was at Easter Road that day more in hope than expectation, and my mobile at that time had a radio in it too so as it was getting towards squeaky bum time and our game was effectively a dead rubber ( as a 1-0 win for us was enough for both teams to meet their goals and so the ball was just getting passed about the midfield with neither side committing to going forward) I was trying to hear the radio coming through from Fir Park. There had been nothing happening there either and a few false alarms had spread across the away end during that period. Then a bit of a cheer went up, I put the radio back on and with dozens of bears around me looking for confirmation I heard that Motherwellhad equalised and the place totally lost it. It was all about the full time whistle by then and Fir Park had to be in injury time as our game was done, and another almighty roar went up and I was trying desperately to hear what was coming through and all I heard was Rangers are champions and I thought that meant it was FT at Fir Park. Cue celebrations like never before. It was only about 10 mins later while we were waiting on the helicopter bringing our trophy that I found out that second roar was a second goal for Motherwell. The thing I won’t forget about that aftermath was when Hibs were doing their lap of honour for their fans to celebrate European qualification and Sunshine On Leith was blasting across the PA system, we were joining in on it too. To this day that song takes me back to Helicopter Sunday and I still get goosebumps when I hear it. -
All the best @the gunslinger I hope you have a fantastic day and life together. As long as you can still go and see The Rangers all will be good in the world!

They conceded the same number of goals in one game at Ibrox as we did in 19 games.

Good bit of fun throughout the season, congrats to those in the top few and thank you to @Rousseau for the many hours put in administrating the league throughout the year.

A couple of fantastic points from the trophy presentation I noticed and absolutely loved. first that no SPFL officials were part of the presentation and secondly that we changed our tops after the game but before the presentation and wore tops that did not have the SPFL logo on them. A great F you to the corrupt cabal who have royally fucked us over since 2012. -
Steven Gerrard wins Manager of the Year double award
Tannochsidebear replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
While it is well deserved and of course the only viable option, I hope this really sticks in the throats of the many Rangers hating hacks who had to grudgingly vote for him. I wish we would not accept such an award, as the scum hacks can all do one until we can get fair and balanced reporting, which isn't coming any time soon. -
Don’t know why we couldn’t have got this Livingston game moved to the weekend with neither side having a game and tv not picking it up anyway. Makes no sense to me going 10 days without a game then 2 in 4 days to finish the season. Scottish football administration in all its glory.

Rangers 'B' team to take part in Lowland League next season
Tannochsidebear replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Good point, it may well be closer to the truth than we will admit. -
Interesting guesswork! What makes you think we may move to a back 3 next season? Have I missed a SG interview where he hints at/says that? Given how few goals we conceded this season I can’t believe we will make such a big change to this successful system? This has definitely got the feel of a post-season friendly with only our unbeaten record on the line, so I can see why we would try a different system or players in different positions, just for this game, and that’s before the injuries and suspensions situation.

Goldson wouldn’t make my top 4 either. While he has been much improved this season there have been several players ahead of him in my opinion. Davis wouldn’t be in my top 4 either. Tav Kent Morelos Barasic Davis/McGregor Goldson/Aribo/Kamara A fantastic discussion to be having given the high standard and number of magnificent performances from virtually our entire team. Add in significant contributions from Jack, McLaughlin, Helander, Patterson, Balogun, Itten, Defoe, Wright, Bassey, (probably missed a couple as well) and it’s easy to see why we managed to reach the heights we have done this season.

Glasgow's top cop fires Rangers march warning to fans

Fair enough @Gonzo79 I can certainly agree that i hope anyone going enjoys the day and that it passes off with the only things to report being much joy and gloating! -
Rangers 'B' team to take part in Lowland League next season
Tannochsidebear replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
This level is so far below us that it cannot possibly be advantageous to our young players development. Having seen the quality for ourselves at a level just above this when we were demoted to the 4th tier, I cant see this doing much for our youth development. But if our coaches and managers think this will be better than playing similarly aged players from the other top clubs, or loaning out to a higher level, then i accept they know an awful lot more about what will be involved than I do so I back their judgement. It will certainly be interesting to see how things develop over the coming seasons. I cant say I would be remotely interested in going to any of the games though. -
Glasgow's top cop fires Rangers march warning to fans
Tannochsidebear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I have two opposing views to this, firstly, why do UB want to march to George Sqaure in the first place. Pubs are open again, celebrate the victory and go and enjoy yourselves with like minded Bears and party in your own places. Why the need for this GIRUY garbage? Screams of look at me. Secondly, we should be afforded the same opportunities to march and be reported in a balanced way, in the same way as the recent George Square marches for Indy & Palestine. But of course we all know we wont be and if will be a repeat of the negative outcry we viewed when the title was clinched some months ago. Given that we know for sure how this will be reported, why would any of our fans want to bring this negative attention on the club and our fans? -
Rangers quartet nominated for Writers' player of the year award
Tannochsidebear replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Tav for me, quite simply at another level right from the off this season and like most true Rangers captains, led by example on both sides of the ball. As for other nominees, for me it would have been Kent, Barasic, Morelos all ahead of Davis, Kamara, Aribo, and then Goldson and McGregor who was a spectator for large parts of the season before having a few spectacular games as the pressure mounted showing his class. The amazing thing about this season is that there are so many outstanding candidates and about 10 of our players could easily make a 4 man shortlist. I’m reading my fellow Gersnetters comments in this thread and can easily accept that the cases put forward are perfectly valid ones for any number of our players this season, even the likes of Goldson & McGregor who I have 8th & 9th I can see why others have picked them as POTY. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a season like it, but I hope we are having the same happy problem next year, and the year after,.......
