I just think when other Countries are doing it, why not join in. Novo would undoubtedly be an asset to the Squad if we were to make it to Africa. He's the type of player that could even help us get there, but for all the reasons mentioned by others here, it's not likely to happen. I bet if Novo thought there was a chance to play in the World Cup & he was offered it, he'd jump at it!

Have to agree with you. It's not just the club's debt that's a problem either. Something I see as a big problem for Walter Smith, is that he's got no idea what offers are going to come in for our players, if any at all. Any offers that do come in could also be later in the transfer window, so if Walter has X amount to spend on a defender or two & does it before we sell any players, there's nothing to say that we won't get good offers in for a couple of central midfielders that can't be refused but would leave us short in that department & scrambling to replace them.

Oops, my mistake. I tend not to pay too much attention to those stories about media cats. It was just a vague recollection - a very vague one it would seem.

Paint.net & Gimp are both free programs that I've tried - http://www.paint.net/ http://www.gimp.org/ ... but neither compare favourably to the real McCoy - Photoshop. Paint.net is the simplest & easiest to learn to use, but also the least powerful/capable by a long shot. Gimp & Photoshop take a LOT of time to learn to use.

It's really time consuming to do photo manipulation work S_A, well to do it well anyway. I must have spent around 7/8 hours making those new banners last week & I've decided not to bother making any more for now until the transfer window closes, because it's a waste of time spending a couple of hours making a banner that contains players who might not be here next season.

Multiply your 3 by 2,000,000 Gribz.

Most people will never forget that we should have taken 3 points in our first game away to Macedonia. They were no push over for a misfiring Scottish side though. When you've got a manager that struggles to figure out how to pick his nose never mind the best football team available to him, it's no surprise to be struggling. Iweloomo? He can piss off with Burley when he gets booted out the door.
-
They shouldn't even have been on the bench that night at Hampden. It baffles me why they were put on the bench after having been sent home from training. Burley wasn't going to play either of them, so there's absolutely no way they should have been sent out there. Filling up substitution places with players who won't be playing because they're being disciplined is unacceptable & it's George Burley's fault, because he picks the team. The sooner we're shot of Burley, the better.

I was watching the score on that one too mate. Wanted Ukraine to win though, because then they'd both have been on 10 points instead of one of them (Croatia) now being on 11. Good result for Ukraine though, getting a point away at Croatia.
-
Gribz, our group only has 5 teams while the other 8 have 6. Apparently the way they're gonna fix that problem is that the 2nd place team in groups 1-8 will have their 2 results against whoever finishes bottom in their group chalked off, so some groups will have 6 points being deducted from the 2nd place teams' final points tally. We definitely need at least 6 points from our last 3 games to have a shout.
-
Have to agree with you mate. Brazilians playing for Croatia, Italians playing for Australia, even although they weren't born in that country. Poland & Germany have players who are eligible to play for either country & there's plenty examples of the same thing. Nacho's spent most of his career in Scotland & all that stands in the way of him playing international football for us is a BS 'gentleman's agreement' between the 'home nations' who don't even want to put an Olympic team together between them. I say sod the gentleman's agreement.

Did Ewen Murray not get death threats from some dhims?
-
I know you're not the only one to feel that way, but I still think it's a sad day when people feel that way about their national football team.
-
Just been looking at the tables again & even if we manage to scrape it into the play-offs, we're looking like having a tough play off game to make it to Africa.
-
Don't know their arse from their elbow that mob at the SFA, just like Burley.
-
Now we just need to beat both of these teams, take the 6 points & prey it's enough. A point from the Holland game would be a big help, but we can do it without that.
-
Good result for Scotland's World Cup hopes.

The Tony Adams one's a classic. I wonder who put him up to that piss take?

Especially if they bomb out in the first round. That would ruin their summer good & proper. :fish:

It's just a diversion. They've got private investigators searching all the queer biker bars in the Med trying to track down John Collins.

Oops! I must have had something in my eye or something.

Significant events of the last 4 years (not counting this season) - - Rangers become the first Scottish football club to reach the last 16 of the 'modern day format' Champions League competition. - Rangers get into trouble with UEFA over 'alleged' sectarian chanting. The singing of club anthem TBB is consequently banned. - Rangers appoint a world class manager who makes sweeping changes, but fails miserably on the domestic front & is replaced within 6 months. - Club legends Walter Smith & Ally McCoist are handed the task of 'steadying the ship'. - Practically a full teams worth of players are brought in. - Rangers compete on all fronts as 4 competitions are taken to the final hurdle, including a UEFA Cup Final which ended up in pandemonium in the streets of Manchester. - Rangers sell off their two best defenders within the space of a year for a combined total of around £15m. Hardly uneventful.

Here's another couple. Walter & Ally holding up the SPL trophy in these. Going to make a new design now. Something with a selection of the best images incorporated. Might not get it finished tonight though.
