  1. It's Milutinovic isn't it?
  2. He's good on Football Manager, that's good enough for me. FM never lies
  3. Walter picks four centre halfs and plays them across the back, then picks four centre-mids and plays them across the midfield. We have to get away from that. I'd love to see us sign a couple of real nippy bastards to play out wide, albeit a tad more heavyweight than Beasley. It may even be a requirement when coming up against teams of Champions League calibre, when you need a bit of X factor to grab points - Lovenkrands in 2005/06 being a decent example (hell, even Charlie Adam's strike v Stuttgart was out of the top drawer). Unfortunately pace is an expensive commodity in football these days. I also can't see Walter modifying his formation/tactics to accommodate two such players.
  4. If I'm joining you in pedantry, the first post actually says who would you like to see... :fish:
  5. I've read a number of articles on Iraqi football and they've always had handy football sides. They seem to be prospering after big Uday's demise as well, having won the Asian Cup a couple of years ago. Mon the 'raqis.
  6. Alexander Whittaker Bougy NEW CB Papac Davis Edu Thomson © Mendes Lafferty Boyd As much as I'm glad Weir has signed an extension, I'm not sure about his lack of pace when it comes to the Champions League games. I'd like to think we'll have a back up or replacement CB by August. And buggered if I know how my midfield will work, but those are the best four midfielders at the club. I'd quite like to see us sign a winger. However Walter does it though, he should build the team around our new captain Kevin Thomson.
  7. Tony Mowbray is quite a dignified, decent kind of guy. Give him a couple of months in that seething cesspit of hate and see how his demeanour changes. Oh, and let's see where his "pyoor Sellik-mindedness n at" gets him with TGFITW when he's 10 points behind at Christmas. Rather you than me Tony bhoy.
  8. "I have my head in Gerry McNee's crotch. I can't believe I've been reduced to this"
  9. I'm in tears here. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g7_8tIOUZQ]YouTube - Celtic Press Box May 24th 2009[/ame]
  10. I hope he stays. There are far worse players getting a game for Rangers just now than Charlie Adam. He was one of our better players and developing quickly under Le Guen. Unfortunately his confidence has since been destroyed by, IMO, over-the-top abuse from the stands. I believe his Dad stopped going to Ibrox because he couldn't listen to the stick he'd get. A cultured player by our recent standards when his confidence was up, and a set piece taker, something we haven't really had for a number of years. I'd like to see him given another chance at Ibrox, but I wouldn't blame him for trying to make a go of it down south.

  13. Hopefully have a good pre-season this year. Last year's was a shambles, and Liverpool in particular had "Here comes Kaunas" written all over it.
  14. Naismith will have been given a chance when he gets a pre-season under his belt.
  15. In an ideal world we'd be able to punt McGregor and Ferguson for £5m (while keeping Boyd), which would help us add a couple, maybe even three starting XI players. Long summer ahead though.
  16. Give him a run out in the league cup games.
  17. We should do, but 1997/98, 2003/04 and 2006/07 remain unaccounted for as far as I am aware.
  18. Haste ye back Mick. The man who gave carthorses a bad name.
  19. Cheers Frankie. Wasn't actually expecting there to be one of either bombscare season. That one must be 90% Champions League highlights padded out by the 3-1 v Celtic. Quite honestly there was nothing else that season which could be considered a success. Did wonder if there might be a 2006/07 one along the lines of a Le Guen/Walter's return theme but we didn't even have the Champions League to distract us that year.
  20. 2008/09 season review out 22 June by the way.
  21. Perhaps a strange question this, but does anyone know if Rangers released season review DVDs for 2005/06 and 2006/07? I must be a masochist because I wouldn't mind a swatch.
  22. The day Ronaldo leaves this country is a great day for British football.
  23. The owner of that site will be planning his attack as we speak.
