He gave it the "shoosh" finger over the lips and cupped his ears after scoring on Saturday. Perhaps he visits one or two of the forums.

The Hall of Fame has become too crowded IMO. I'd have limited it to 25 places or thereabouts, and then reviewed it in 10 or 20 years. In any case Gough would always stroll into it.
-
Goughie would never have undermined his manager nor made petulant gestures to the fans when the going gets tough. Richard Gough was a great Rangers captain. Barry Ferguson never will be.

One of my all-time favourites. An absolute mountain of a man for the Rangers over 10 years. He represented everything good and righteous about the club, everything a Rangers captain should be. The guy quite simply had the Rangers spirit. It was all very nice to rave about Cuellar for a few months, but he wasn't fit to shine Goughie's boots. King Richard. We may not see his like again.

I wonder what the thinking behind that is, I mean on Levein's part? As for him becoming manager of the Rangers - No thanks. A repulsive bastard.

Can't see it, the fans won't take to him.

I thought Burley only picked players who were playing regularly?

Oh dear, that was tough viewing. Masochist that I am.

This home game against Celtic. As I've said in another thread, it's a massive assumption that we'll win that and also our other games, which is most likely what it'll take to win the league. The most wins we've strung together this season was 4, back in Aug/Sep, which was also the last time we beat Celtic. Also, from the evidence of this season, home advantage doens't seem to count for anything in Old Firm games right now. We got let out of jail big time this weekend and not for the first time this season. We've been extremely lucky and we're running out of games to take advantage of their slip-ups. Of course you might say Celtic are saying the same thing - but it's them who are 3 points clear with nine games left. There are some capable players at Ibrox but I question their bottle. Wouldn't that be magnificent. Unfortunately that was another season where we came very close to blowing it when the heat was on, and had to rely on events the like of which we may never see again in our lifetimes.

We've been let out of jail a bit this weekend - again. Still going to need to beat them at Ibrox and put together a run of wins.

Not bought a copy of that comic in my life.

Funny, I was discussing this in the pub last night. The general consensus being that Scottish football is on a downturn at the moment. All four Scottish representatives got papped out of Europe in the first round - five if you count Hibs in the Intertoto. The very fact that the Old Firm both have their worst sides in years yet are still miles ahead of the other 10 teams is worrying. I watched Aberdeen v Dunfermline the other night, and if that is what 'Scotland's 3rd club' has to offer then we live in bleak times. In addition, the current financial crisis will almost certainly see SPL teams shed players to stay afloat, impacting still further on the quality of the fare on show - which in turn will turn people away from the games, deepening their financial problems.

Today's installment comes from Steven Whittaker. Apparently "the international break can be springboard to the title."

I think relying on the Old Firm game 'because we're at home', as some fans seem to be doing, is pretty naive. To assume we'll take 3 points off them, not to mention win all our other games while they slip up, is a massive assumption. The most games we have won in a row this season is 4, and that was in Aug/Sep.

Just read in the paper there about Ferguson's ear-cupping celebration. The paper said it was aimed at the criticism he has taken over his recent performances. If that is the case, he should take a good look at himself. He obviously learns from his manager to blame the criticism when things aren't going well. There is a culture of 'deflect and deny' at Ibrox right now, and I don't like it one bit.

Totally fed up of his pish, I have no interest in what he says any more.

I'm starting to get deja vu from McLeish's final season, that feeling that any team might fancy their chances against us. Of course we're overwhelming favourites, but in our fuck-ups this season we don't seem to discriminate between top 6 sides and bottom 6 sides (St Mirren, Inverness). After all, St Mirren did beat us when we were supposedly on a roll after the piggery 4-2. I remember how confident I was before St Johnstone last season...

Anyone else think St Mirren might fancy their chances of a day out at Hampden in May?

Rangers V Heart Of Midlothian ââ?¬â?? Match Report & Players Ratings
Norris Cole replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
Amid all the negativity, I'd like to take time out to praise young Kyle Lafferty, who has put in some excellent performances over the last six weeks or so. Yet again, however, the Ibrox injury curse strikes and not for the first time this season a player picks up an injury right in the middle of a good run of form. Thomson, Novo, Bougherra and now Lafferty. As I said in another thread, it would have been interesting to see how Celtic coped with injuries to Brown, McDonald etc. -

Murray will come up with a statement as renewal deadline approaches, to the effect that 'real fans' will renew. To be honest I'm reluctant even to give him my money for one-off games. The thought that I'm paying for what is happening to Rangers is a tad disturbing.

Rangers V Heart Of Midlothian ââ?¬â?? Match Report & Players Ratings

Symptomatic of our problems. Bright first half with consistently good delivery from the wing, then proceeded to disappear in the second half. A football match lasts 90 minutes, perhaps if our players realised that we wouldn't be 2 points behind the filth. Thought Smith should have used all of his subs as well. -
There was a lack of direction in extra-time during the League Cup Final, and the same was apparent in the second half today. You'll see from my posts though, that I'm apportioning blame to the players as well.

Set pieces, corners and high balls have been our achilles heel all season. It has already accounted for our European aspirations and the League Cup, so why has nothing been done about it? What do they do at Auchenhowie?
