  1. The lack of mental fortitude from some of the imposters on the park is staggering. I'd have the lot of them in for bootcamp at 6am tomorrow morning. Something is not right at Ibrox. The players are not doing it for Smith, so Smith has to go. The old pals act backroom set-up clearly isn't doing any good whatsoever, so that has to go. Certain players are simply a waste of a wage so they have to go. Incidentally, do we have a left-sided midfielder at the club?
  2. "Hurt drives me on" Oh dear, someone's looking rather silly tonight.
  3. Smith put that shambles of a defence together. But as I said on another thread, controlling a game for 45 minutes only to throw it all away smacks of bottle crashing. The blame lies both on and off the park. You've no idea how much I want your last sentence to be true.
  4. Bottlers. Simple as. On the pitch and in the dugout
  5. Anyone still a fan of this has-been old prick? No problem with his set-up in midfield and up front, but our amateur manager set out an amateur defence today. Who else should he have played in defence then you ask? Couldn't give a shit - McCulloch is NOT nor ever has been a defender in anyone's eyes other than Smith's, and every minute Dailly takes to the pitch in a Rangers shirt we are the laughing stock of Scotland. There can't be many arguments that at least a handful of our team are gutless wee gobshites (Beasley, Boyd - there's two), and the players have to take their share of the blame. But it is patently clear that Walter Smith is not inspiring this group of players. Fans are simply going to have to accept the obvious, that Walter Smith is incapable of winning us an SPL title. We are quite literally going backwards by the week under this charlatan. He cannot go soon enough for this Bear. The old git's only there beacuse of his pal upstairs, who himself is long past caring that each day of Smith's reign damages the club. Any respect I had for you from the 9IAR years has disappeared completely. You are past it as a manager and have made it abundantly clear on several occasions what you think of good Bears like me. You will not, under any circumstance, accept responsibility for any of our disastrous results under your watch, and you can stick your tedious media platitudes up your arse. Thousands of Rangers fans will look back on your second spell and view you with utter contempt. WALTER SMITH GTF
  6. Hopefully Boughy's just out for today. To lose him for the run-in is unthinkable. With Weir suspended as well I look forward to seeing what Water goes with in the backline. You're right Pete - yet again our luck with injuries is atrocious. I'd love to see how the scum would cope without their best player for 7 months (McDonald/Brown?). The pessimist in me saw the title slip from our grasp when Thomson lay prostrate on the Rugby Park turf.
  7. What Hamilton and Aitken did was no worse than the likes of Blunkett.
  8. "Par for the course" eh? It's pronounced "deserved". There's been a hell of a lot of waffle coming out of Ibrox since Sunday - hell, they even wheeled McDowall out - but unless I'm mistaken there's been no accepting of culpability, just more moaning at the "criticism"
  9. The Champions League has become extremely boring. The same teams year in year out. Who would have thought Liverpool would get Chelsea  UEFA revamped the wrong competition.
  10. Hamburg v Manchester City Paris St Germain v Dynamo Kiev Shakhtar Donetsk v Marseille Werder Bremen v Udinese Hardly teams to put the shiters up you eh? I can't believe the bookies made AC Milan favourites this season - they had about as much chance of winning it as we did. Big teams started using it as a reserve competition years ago.
  11. Ha ha ha. I love wikipedia for stuff like this.
  12. Chick's in hiding after stating on his BBC blog that Aberdeen's name was on the Scottish Cup trophy this year
  13. I put it to you that Attila the Hun would run the economy with greater skill that Michael Foot And he'd sure as hell have better hair.
  14. It would certainly be interesting to see Great Britain during the premiership of Prime Minister Foot.
  15. Give me the milk snatcher over politically correct nazism any day.
  16. I accept your point but if Aberdeen, Dundee United or St Mirren went under I wouldn't shed a tear.
  17. I detest their nationalist agenda, but the SNP have made a better fist of the day-to-day running of the country in 18 months than Joke's Lhabour did in 8 corrupt years. McAskill and Matheson exempt from any praise, naturally - pair of wankers. As for Westminster, if there has been a more incompetent or corrupt government then New Labour in the lifetime of any Gersnet member I'd like to hear it.
  18. Wouldn't it be a terrible shame if some of these clubs went under
  19. You know, that may not be the worst idea I've ever read on Gersnet. Always liked McLetchie actually, he was a major asset to the party at Holyrood and he got forced out over what I thought was a somewhat spurious and trivial campaign over taxi expenses or something by a jealous Tory MSP (may have been Brian Monteith?)
  20. What we've all been saying for so long. The difference is, McLetchie is a public figure. Good on him - the only party in Scotland with any balls any more. Hope he has strong windows.
  21. Novo was magnificent on Sunday. He has been treated like shit by Walter.
  22. I'm just sorry you didn't get to Simpson
  23. Sounds about right. In general Celtic supporters tend to be better company, perhaps because they're a big club themselves and don't have the inferiority complex, I'm not sure. Aberdeen's dreadful for the anti-English nonsense. Front page of the paper the other week, 22-yr old English lass got her face smashed by some neanderthal because of her accent. Think she may have lost the sight of the eye. Obviously that can happen anywhere but there's a distinct 'atmosphere' shall we say up here. Ultimately the best way to get it up them from our point of view is to beat them on the park. Unfortunately we'll be waiting a long time for a win at Pittodrie while Walter's around. Standing in the away end on the last day of last season while the place went mental wasn't the greatest moment of my life I can tell you.
  24. Unthinkable not to. Aberdeen would have given us a right good game in the final so I'm very happy to see them papped out.
  25. Don't hold back Jon, they don't when talking about us. I grew up in Aberdeen and know all about the depths to which they stoop.
