  2. Remember that game as if it was yesterday:) For all the young ones that was the first time the "easy easy" chant was heard. Started in north enclosure and swept round to main stand. Them were the days.
  3. Aye Warburton ain't got a clue, fitba is painful to watch. You've convinced me I won't be back.
  4. I know a member of RSL. He is one of the 4.

  6. Seem the remember Frankie not being too happy about posts on this guy? If so please delete post. The makes entertaining reading, kind of. Looks like there is a fall out in the RSL. RSL Statement on John James March 8, 2016 by Merlin 1 Comment Having held our collective peace for some time, we would like to make a statement concerning the posts of the person named John James on his blog. Mr James’ rhetoric is that Rangers is a new or phoenix club which has no entitlement to the world record haul of league trophies and other silverware won prior to 2012. He is entitled to this opinion; however, it is not one shared by the RSL. We feel we need to point this out since John James insists on declaring his blog a successor to this one. Whilst it is true that “JJ” as he is known, was a frequent contributor to our Comments section, there was no formal or even informal association between the RSL and him. To our knowledge, JJ is not a member and the truth is that we do not know his identity. Opinions vary between JJ being a Rangers fan embittered by previous dealings with the club and a timposter pretending to be a bluenose. The latter option would make JJ one sick puppy in anybody’s book, it has to be said. We previously allowed JJ’s posts because he made very valid points concerning the present regime at Ibrox. It should be pointed out, however, that not all of his posts were passed. It can reasonably be claimed that JJ at one time made a valid contribution to the ongoing Rangers situation, particularly to those who were and are sceptical of Dave King and his colleagues. A year on from the regime change and many questions remain unanswered. It is evident that Mark Warburton and the team are delivering on the field and this is deflecting from a lot of the background activity which is still very precarious and volatile. Having said that, John James has segued from relentless criticism of Dave King to what appears to be his true agenda. That agenda is Rangers as a new club and the need to strip titles from the supposed old club. Disillusioned/embittered Rangers fan or a “timposter” it must be said that JJ is clearly someone who hates Rangers and seeks to damage the club. The increasingly vituperative nature of his recent offerings could not possibly come from a person with any credible claim to be a Rangers supporter. Furthermore, the comment section of JJ’s blog reads like a Who’s Who of the usual “offended” Rangers haters whose bitterness seeps out of every syllable. The RSL’s position is clear and unequivocal. Given the choice of standing with a regime that we have great difficulties accepting with approval and standing with people who clearly are out to destroy the club and drag its name through the mud, we are foursquare behind Rangers FC. And that is NOT a masonic reference, Mr James.
  7. There is no limit to the incompetence of those who run Scottish football I'm afraid.
  8. BBC Scotland news "........on the current owners of Rangers Football Club". Could be we are forcing a change in reporting? In the past its been club liquidated.
  9. I assume that BK & MOH can play in this game?
  10. I believe that is what John Gilligan was saying.
  11. Now you're asking! Nae idea what that is about.
  12. CELTIC Football Club would like to extend its upmost thanks to supporters for their brilliant backing at today’s Scottish Cup tie with Greenock Morton in Paradise. Given the quarter-final match took place on Mother’s Day, kicked off at lunchtime on a Sunday and was screened live on TV, the Club hugely appreciates all the fans who were in attendance for the Hoops' dominant 3-0 victory. Following the triumph over the Championship outfit, Ronny Deila's side are now looking forward to a semi-final at Hampden next month along with their remaining league fixtures as they attempt to make history and lift a fifth successive championship. And being able to call upon such faithful supporters will be vital for the champions over the coming months as they pursue a domestic double and aim to deliver more silverware success.
  13. There is no reason that your proposal cannot be implemented.
  14. I have not taken anything out of context. Anyone can read the posts, it seems you can never admit to making the smallest error. I will leave it at that.
  15. Yes you did. "The more fool him then because the police will determine who sits where and how many of them there are inside the ground. The match commander has the ultimate authority in these matters."
  16. That is not correct. The police do not have the power to tell Rangers that they must give a certain number of tickets to away fans. They can and will insist on segregation etc. as I said earlier the police would be happy if no Celtc fans were there.
  17. Not correct. Police are only concerned with public order/safety, they would be happy if no Celtc fans were there.
  18. What ticket allocation they got in the past has no relevance. A Rangers director has stated that their allocation will depend on how many season tickets we sell.
  19. John Gilligan stated at the RST agm that if we sold enough season tickets then their allocation would be less, whatever the minimum is. If this post is correct then the club have gone back on a promise. Personally I don't care if it means less tickets for us a Parkhead, I will never be back there.
  20. Copied from FF. Hope this is not true, it's also contrary to what John Gilligan stated at RST agm. "Default Celtic will be getting the full Broomloan next season Just went in to get the 4 match package for the BR and asked about next season. The lady serving me confirmed that the scum are getting the full broomloan next season. Shame. I guess the only way to change that would be to actively petition the club"
  21. The BBC is a totally corrupt organisation from top to bottom. It's a job for the boys, top heavy with managers, senior this and senior that placemen and women. Layer on layer of managers, none of whom were clever enough to notice the paedophiles in its employ or just liars who knew all along. In Scotland there are employed within it Rangers haters who never miss a chance to smear the club. It's also politically corrupt in Scotland , still giving more coverage to Slab than its due in the current climate. Have a look at this list, http://www.bbc.co.uk/corporate2/insidethebbc/managementstructure/biographies/#heading-a-to-c click on the names and see how much WE are paying these people! BBC needs gutted IMO. Rant over.
  22. http://uk.businessinsider.com/sports-direct-to-be-demoted-from-ftse-100-2016-3 Sports Direct is being thrown out of the FTSE 100 after halving in value in just 7 months More bad news for Sports Direct. They're getting kicked out of the FTSE 100. The sporting goods retailer will officially be thrown out of the FTSE 100 on Wednesday after the company lost more than 50% of its value in just over six months, after a series of scandals and poor financial results. The company – founded and majority owned by much maligned and often criticised businessman, Mike Ashley — has endured a horrible time of late, and has been accused of mistreating workers and being managed poorly. The FTSE 100 — which is made up of the 100 biggest companies in Britain by market capitalisation — is reviewed every quarter to ensure that the companies listed on the index are in fact the biggest in the UK. Big drops in share prices often lead to companies being moved into the lesser FTSE 250 index, but a company as prominent as Sports Direct losing its place is rare. Changes to the make up of the index will be officially announced once the markets close at 4:30 p.m. GMT (11:30 a.m ET) but the Guardian is reporting that Sports Direct's demotion is certain to happen. Shares in the retailer have been tanking consistently since last summer thanks to numerous scandals in the company, and criticisms of Ashley. Ashley, who is currently the retailer's deputy chairman, has been criticised for giving his daughter's boyfriend a high-level job and a £10 million loan, despite him having no experience in commercial property development, the field in which he was employed, and earlier this week, a bunch of Sports Direct's biggest investors took aim at him in the Financial Times. One investor accused him of treating the company as "his own plaything". Investors also criticised a "lack of transparency" in Sports Direct, and said that it has "gone as far as it could." Mike Ashley owns around 55% of Sports Direct's shares, making his current stake in the company worth around £1.4 billion. In August 2015 the same stake was worth as much as £3 billion. Here's how Sports Direct's fall looks: Sports Direct has also been criticised for effectively paying workers less than minimum wage. Although since the allegations were made in the Guardian newspaper, Sports Direct has committed to paying at least minimum wage to all staff, costing the company £10 million ($14.5 million). Sports Direct isn't the only FTSE 100 constituent set to be demoted on Wednesday evening. Aberdeen Asset Management, the firm set up by chief executive Martin Gilbert in the early 1980s, is also getting the chop. Shares in the firm have dropped from £4.75 each in early 2015, to just £2.53 now. While its bad news for Sports Direct and Aberdeen, the demotions mean that some FTSE 250 companies will be promoted. Bookmaker Paddy Power, which announced a merger with Betfair last year, is one of the companies expected to move up to the FTSE 100 at the end of trading this afternoon. Sports Direct joins Morrisons in being relegated from the financial big leagues after the supermarket was demoted at the FTSE's last review in December. The chain lost its place after shares fell more than 50% in just over a year, thanks largely to the ultra-competitive nature of the UK grocery market.
  23. You are correct that online Rangers fans don't vote SNP but they are a minority in the Rangers support.
  24. YouGov reported that at the GE RC's voted 48% SNP and 38% Slab. SNP got 50% of popular vote, so RC's voted approximately the same as the rest of the population.
