  8. POLL: Club 1872 Shares CIC Articles of Association Club 1872 contributors were previously asked to vote on adopting new Articles of Association for Club 1872 Shares CIC. This vote was passed but was subject to Regulator approval. The Club 1872 board has been working closely with the Regulator on these Articles and we are delighted to say that we have now agreed a form of Articles which fully enshrine the rights of Club 1872 contributors to take key decisions on the future of the organisation. This was a long and involved process and has taken a huge amount of the Club 1872 board’s time as the Regulator examined all aspects of how Club 1872 operates and what we are trying to achieve. We thank the Regulator for her help during this process and what we believe is an excellent outcome that will serve Club 1872 very well in the years to come - as the organisation grows and aims to retain its place as a major shareholder in Rangers International Football Club Plc. We are seeking member approval for these new Articles and would ask members to examine them closely before voting. You can view the Articles here. These Articles implement many measures that members have voted on previously, including changes to Director terms and the election process. They also provide that the legal membership of the company will track with the elected board members. The Club 1872 board recommends that members vote in favour of adopting these final, Regulator approved Articles. The poll will remain open until 1pm on Monday 23rd December. To vote please click the link below, enter your login details and you will be redirected to the poll page. If you are already logged in to your Club 1872 account please logout first before clicking the link and then re-enter your login details. VOTE HERE Club 1872

  12. The fact that 1000’s of fans with ST’s & paper tickets went to the “wrong” turnstiles proves it was poor planning. The paper tickets had the “wrong” turnstiles numbers on them. The club must have known weeks ago that YB were bringing a big support, otherwise they would have sold the tickets to our fans. The club have no problem in emailing fans about all manner of things but not about this. Very poor organisation by the club.
  13. So I believe and the SLO put out a Tweet earlier in the day. Surely it was simpler for the club to email and/or text days before the game. Anyway we are through to the last 32.
  14. Motherwell 0 - 2 Rangers FGS Morelos
  15. It was only the Broomie that was the problem due to YB fans having seats in BF and BR.
  16. Missed the first 10 minutes due to our normal turnstiles being behind the security barrier. This meant that everybody in BR 4 & 5 had to enter by BR 1 & 2 entrances, creating massive queues. This was all due to the large away support, one guy told he he got an email from Rangers at 1730hrs telling him about the change. Bit late and everyone should have been informed well beforehand, poor organisation by the club.
  17. What would that have to do with the SFA?

The Celtic-daft rocker was at the national stadium on Sunday to watch Neil Lennon’s side lift the Betfred Cup. Sir Rod Stewart watched Celtic win 1-0 at Hampden and later joined players for post-match celebrations at ParkheadCredit: Kenny Ramsay - The Sun Glasgow Former Scotland striker Alan Brazil sensationally claimed on talkSPORT this morning that the son of a Gers official “went for Sir Rod” as his post-match celebrations spilled over. The 60-year-old said: “By all accounts after the final at the weekend at Hampden. Rod went into the directors box and he had had a few. “I’m not saying he was hammered but he’d had a few. “Celtic won the cup. Rangers played very, very well but lost. talkSPORT host Alan Brazil claimed a Rangers director's son "went for Sir Rod"Credit: Dan Jones - The Sun Celtic beat Rangers 1-0 in the Betfred Cup FinalCredit: Reuters “And Rod by all accounts lay on his back on the floor in the directors box in the lounge rubbing his tummy laughing and giggling saying: ‘You just can’t beat us can you?’ “One of the Rangers officials, I think it was his son, went for him. He had to be grabbed and pulled back. “It all kicked off in the directors lounge by all accounts. So Rod, be careful what you are doing.” But Gers chiefs have furiously denied Brazil’s version of events and insist the youngster did not react, despite allegedly being goaded by the 74-year-old, who is believed to have had a few drinks before the incident. And the Ibrox club have demanded an on-air apology from the Celtic fan radio host for getting the story “spectacularly wrong”. CUP CLASH Rangers official's son 'went for Sir Rod Stewart' claims Alan Brazil A club spokesperson said: "Rangers are seeking an apology from Alan Brazil after his crass and grossly-inaccurate comments on talkSPORT this morning when he said the son of a Rangers director had confronted Rod Stewart in the director’s lounge at Hampden after Sunday's cup final. "The truth is Mr Stewart, who was witnessed lying on the floor of the VIP area, eventually got to his feet and approached the youngest member of Rangers’ official party. "The teenager was sitting alone looking at his phone when Mr Stewart approached and started goading him but the young man had the good sense and dignity to ignore the comments. "Mr Stewart’s behaviour was witnessed by a number of Rangers directors and he was asked politely and quietly by one of them to leave the boy alone and return to his own group.
  20. I have had a conversation with Suck and he has agreed to not only help with the idea, but to fund any costs for it from the FF EBT-overspill account. As a small gesture to Dave King to mark his announcement at the AGM of an intention to step down from his role as Chairman we will be commissioning a book that will contain personal messages from those supporters who wish to say thank you. The Email address DK_Book@outlook.com has been set up and over the next month or so, I will collate and proof any Email sent that contains a message that an individual may like to put forward. I believe that this gives us a chance for a far more intimate ‘thank you’ than might ordinarily be afforded and I would love to think that he will be able to look back in a decade or so and see the regard in which he is held by so many. The intention is to gather messages, have them printed by a professional and bound in a fitting cover and to ask for the book to passed onto Dave King at a suitable time. I understand fully that some may not like the idea, or feel it a little over the top, and I would like to politely ask them to hold their council to allow people who see value in the idea to discuss it and to contribute. It goes without saying that all messages will be vetted stringently, more to filter out the lurkers than anything, but any inappropriate comments will not be included in the book. Posters are welcome to send in multiple entries if they have non FF using friends or family who would like to say a piece and the messages can be signed, or not, at the poster's discretion. A location would be a nice touch, to help show the world-wide contribution. For Example: N_L South Yorkshire I will be looking for someone with better writing ability than myself to pen a short fore-word further down the line and volunteers can drop me a PM!

Club 1872 Statement on FARE Dear Member Club 1872 is extremely concerned about an incident this morning where the official account of Football Against Racism Europe (FARE) retweeted a derogatory tweet from a Celtic fan regarding Rangers Football Club and its supporters. FARE has now confirmed that one of their employees retweeted the offensive tweet which was subsequently deleted. They have also issued a statement on Twitter which completely fails to address how and why this happened and is misleading as to the content of the tweet and how long it remained on their Twitter account before they deleted it. FARE has also not given any indication of what action they are taking to address the ongoing concern that a number of their employees are biased against Rangers Football Club. This incident raises further questions about the impartiality and transparency of the organisation, which UEFA has placed in a very powerful position with regard to supporter behaviour at European games. We made Rangers aware of this incident early this morning and they have now confirmed to us that they will be raising the matter with both FARE and UEFA. In the meantime, ahead of a crucial final group game in the Europa League tomorrow night, we would remind supporters of their duty to ensure that no further sanctions are forthcoming from UEFA for sectarian chanting. Regardless of ongoing issues regarding impartiality and transparency with FARE, until UEFA properly examine the way in which the organisation operates they retain the ability to report any incidents as they see fit. Any future sanction for sectarian singing is likely to include a full closure of Ibrox, which would impact tens of thousands of our supporters and have a negative impact on the club’s finances as it continues to improve the playing squad and upgrade club facilities. As supporters we must continue the vocal and positive backing which the team has received in recent months. Club 1872
