Friday night was like therapy to me, being one of the thousand and thousand of Bears, mixing with each other in the bars, soaking up the banter, the tales, listening to the latest gossip. It was like taking a anti-biotic and a cooling balm to the open sores left from the battering we took from our fellow Scottish football clubs and their supports. Travelling back home down to the North East of England with two other fellow Bears, the car was like being in a fifty seater bus, the chatter was noisy and non stop, even several rendition from our song book, Penny Arcade, Blue Blue Seas Of Ibrox and Follow Follow. I had to be extra careful driving in the dark whilst trying to have three different conversation at the one time. But under all the chatter, singing and banter, there was a quite confidence, I had calm almost serene feeling deep down in my soul, that lasted well into Saturday, even this morning it is still there. We're getting there, but there is still a distance to go. Last season on the way home after the abandoned game against Heart, the driver had on BBC Sportsound or whatever it's called. English was co-hosting, his relish and glee at blaming Rangers for the abandonment was clear, then he heard there was some indecent with the fans coming out of Ibrox, storm-in- a -tea- cup as it turned out, but he latched on to it like a limpet making it all our fault without being aware of all the circumstances. Turned it it was some snowballs being throw mostly from Hearts fans. My point is he doesn't hold other clubs and their support up to the same intense scrutiny nor demand they face the same level of investigation, when there is any problems with them.

English got himself into bad company with Spiers, Spence, Cosgrove and other Rangers Haters from BBC Scotland, he took the easy option of toeing their and their bosses party line , He's entrenched in this view now, he's not for changing. We can only wait him and the rest out. However that's not to say we and the club can't agitate for change, and make sure those who come along after they have gone, are never given again free reign or permitted such bias and agenda against our club.
