  1. Both you and Andy might be interersted to read this and other publications by SD on football's value to the local economy http://www.supporters-direct.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/svoff-summary-report.pdf I think your idea about volunteer litter collectors on match days is excellent, perhaps Mr Graham should be put in charge. But equally a fan education programme on the subject might not go amiss.
  2. [unsubstantiated crap removed]
  3. It IS a good picture, it shows Ibrox as an oasis in a bit of a wasteland with a nice reflection in the water. I admire the intiative so long as others say, the insurance and Health & Safety implcations are covered.
  4. A wise decision all round but does rather indicate that pragmatism might be the order of the day with the new board, rather than a forensic searchj for the truth. What price a similar deal with L&L? To use an Americanism, let's move on
  5. Still not confirmed on Rangers' site but if true it's the best possible short term news. McCall is a winner and motivator and Kenny Black has a reasonable record as a coach. Pity it isn't Eric Black.
  6. I am happy to accept SB's statement that Dinnie was offered and declined the post.
  7. I said at the time that I accepted McDowall's version of events. I don't think he is clever enough to think it up but in answer to your highlighted question - NO.
  8. Some of the facts that you adduce do seem incredible or at least worthy of further explanation but I am still doubtfull about it being a Machiavellian plot deliberately to discredit the RFB.
  9. What I said was that “Since I am no longer an IFA I can look at it purely from a Rangers perspective; and from that angle it's a good thing.” I did not say that I agreed with it from an investment perspective. In fact I find it even more surprising that he now has time to be a director, given that he now manages more money. However, he may see the role as less all-embracing than it might have been in 2012. I know that he made the decision at that time with the best interests of his clients in mind and I have no doubt that that will have been at the forefront of his mind on this occasion as well. Since you are not a former client of mine your opinion on this is irrelevant and I can only speculate on your motives for raising it yet again. But for your information and the information of anyone else who thinks this is an issue, your intentionally debasing comment about commission couldn't be more wrong. As an IFA I was in the forefront of the movement to charge fees for advice from the mid 80's and embraced the cessation of commission in recent years wholeheartedly. As to the welfare of my former clients, what would you know about that and what business is it of yours in any event? But since you appear to be so concerned, I will tell you that such is the esteem in which I am held by some that they continue to ask for my opinion (though I have to explain that I am no longer authorised to give advice) and guidance. I remain the Executor for several and only last week I was humbled to be asked to be the Executor of another former client's estate and his lasting power of attorney. You might also want to be aware that the re-introduction of a thread on FF at the time of the RFB election last September in which I was subjected to the most foul mouthed abuse and where direct threats were uttered and others were incited to violence against my person, property and (then) business led to an investigation by the police acting on instructions of the procurator fiscal. No doubt you will also recall that a variety of personal information was also posted about me at that time and hence reiterated on the re-appearance of that thread and such were the threats that the police advised me not to post anywhere for a period and not to go to Ibrox alone. Fortunately, on this occasion, the owner of the site was "encouraged" to remove the thread by the police. The action of one individual on this site in drawing attention to that thread was unhelpful to say the least.
  10. Name calling, another mature and easy way out.
  11. So you're saying that Chris Graham was second choice to Gordon Dinnie?
  12. I can assure you as I've already said on here that I am more than looking forward to the good times ahead, though I fear they might be some way off. Deflect rather than answer the question, very good. You and many others on here accuse most members of the last Board of being liars yet Mr King is a proven liar in a court of law and that is apparently OK because he's a Rangers fan from Castlemilk?
  13. It's clear that King views the RST and RF as the main fans groups inasmuch as their shareholdings and the proxies they harvested to support him put them in that position and it's equally clear that HE decided who would represent these fan groups, which is not exactly a very deomcratic process. Whilst I have no particular feeling one way or the other on James Blair representing me as a member of RF, I don't know the other RF Board members and would have welcomed an opportunity to vote for my representative. If I was a member of RST then I think I would feel more strongly because so far as I am aware Chris Graham is not an elected member of that Board but even if he is, I would still have wanted an opportunity to vote. I don't think the appointments needed to be made with such haste. Ordinarilly, absent a vote, one might expect the Chair of each organisation to be the invitee, but again that didn't happen here. I am sure that Gordon Dinnie will be magnanimous because he has no choice but deep down I'm equally sure that after all his years in the RST he might just feel a tad aggrieved that someone who has only been on the Board for 6 months is selected ahead of him. The way it has been done reinforces the view that it is for services rendered to Mr King rather than any genuine attempt at democratic fan representation. It also begs the question: who is going to represent the rest of the fans?
  14. Does that include Mr King, or if not why not?
  15. For all our disagreements Christine, you deserve recognition for your hard work over many years.
  16. Next thing he'll be appointed Chair of the reconstituted Fans Board with Dingwall & Houston as VC's no doubt.
  17. Not having seen his CV I wouldn't know. I believed his explanation about the date of the EGM. IMHO the RFB were wrong to call him a liar over that.
  18. From what I read it seems that Llambias may have lied about the last time he was in contact with Ashley and there are also questions over the retail numbers but I am fairly sure he will have been careful with how he expressed that even if he was economical with the truth. As I wasn't at either RFB meeting with him, I am not well placed to judge. So you at the game
  19. How do you know that? The statement concludes "and in order that they can use their abilities to contribute to the Company"; so it's a fair question, what are his abilities and qualifications to be a director? James Blair is a qualified lawyer so can act as company secretary; apart from being King's chief rabble rouser, what does Mr Graham bring to the Boardroom table?
  20. If someone has evidence of malfeasance by any past director of the Club then I would welcome them reporting that to the relevant authorities for investigation and prosecution if appropriate.
  21. He certainly has plenty of business experience - GRAHAM CONSULTING SOLUTIONS LTD Incorporation date 24/02/2011 The latest Annual Accounts submitted to Companies House for the year up to 28/02/2014 reported 'cash at bank' of £1, 'liabilities' worth £61,478, 'net worth' of £1,026 and 'assets' worth £61,331. http://companycheck.co.uk/company/SC394158/GRAHAM-CONSULTING-SOLUTIONS-LTD/company-summary
  22. I think that's the final nail in the coffin of the RFB.
  23. Can't imagine he'll be overjoyed but his time may come.
  24. Because a judge ruled that Mr King ""has no respect for the truth and does not hesitate to lie...etc etc and "is a glib and shameless liar"."
