  1. Not even a serious question in my book.
  2. That my friend is the 65m share question.
  3. Given that you have conceded that most of the non renewers are disaffected with the foootball rather than the Board and also given that outside of the online community most fans don't care two jots who's in the boardroom; how do you arrive at that conclusion.
  4. A reward for leading fans up the garden path to Ibrox 1972 Ltd perhaps, could be. I'm pretty sure there have been talks behind the scenes with RF as well.
  5. Essentially that's what I'm hearing.
  6. A 2-0 loss away is a really difficult one because in essence, you need to score 3 without reply at home to go through. Don't know the stats on that but doubt it happens very often. They're both out I'd say.
  7. By football dictator, I am sure you know that I am referring to one man e.g. SDM or CW who more or less owned the Club outright. It seems to me that if Mr King invested roughly £20m and was able to buy out all current shareholders (and of course if he could aquire 30% he would need to offer for the rest) then he would own the Club outright and he and the others that he has alluded to, would still have £30m to stengthen the team. That to my mind would constitute a football dictator and so far as I know would be met with loud cheering from a large number hereabouts.
  8. As the Returning Officer for the constituency of Gersnet South, I hereby declare that the number of votes cast in the poll for the Venue for the Second Semi-Annual Gersnet Dinner were as follows: Malaga Tapas - 6 votes (75%) Somewhere Else - 2 Votes (25%) (It should be noted that neither of those who voted for Somewhere Else made a suggestion as to where that somewhere else might be. So I will put up alternatives next time.) And I hereby declare that the next Gersnet Dinner will be held in Malaga Tapas. More anon.
  9. Think you're going to have to resort to stronger methods than just drum rolling, Zappa. I'll do one later, sorry no time just now.
  10. Fair point; but if he gets jail time I will be pleasantly surprised.
  11. Not often many people agree with me, mate. If it comes to pass, then I do hope that everyone who has been clamouring for change doesn't find that the grass isn't quite as green as they might imagine on the other side of the hill. Also, how many times have folks here and elsewhere said that the era of football dictators (in Scotland at least) is dead; and yet if he is a nice man from Castlemilk, who lives in South Africa and who allegedly has £30m -£50m to invest; but "has no respect for the truth and does not hesitate to lie" it somehow becomes OK. I wish someone would explain that to me; I just don't get it.
  12. I'll have a go on the basis that whenever I have a hunch and don't bet I'm usually right but on the few occasions I do bet I'm ALWAYS wrong. I reserve the right to pull out if I'm terrible at it.
  13. I'm hearing that some of the Board/Investors are becoming disenchanted with the constant whining. They feel they are doing their best and are just not getting the support, rightly or wrongly, they feel they deserve; and may well have decided to cut their losses or minimise their profits depending on price paid. This might be DK's chance if he wants to take it.
  14. If he's got previous for assault he might get 3 or 6 months, if not he'll likely get away with a fine and a warning.
  15. Is that your new ST estimate?
  16. A reminder that this poll closes at 6.40pm tonight. Any votes cast after this time will not be counted but you will still be charged.
  17. I'll take a fresh look at this over the (Derby) weekend.
  18. There must have been a change to the SFA Articles then because according to the version I have the PGB only elects one member to the Main SFA Board as does the non Professional Game Board. Although I do seem to remember something about that at the AGM.
  19. I thought I was the head of the pedantic loyal I don't know how many that amounts to out of the 43,400,000 unissued shares but the point I was making was that dB correctly referred to shares and Frankie picked it up wrongly as GBP.
  20. He didn't say £43m, Frankie, he said 43m (shares), which is correct.
  21. The Directors are aware of recent public comment suggesting fans defer, withhold or ring fence their season ticket monies. These comments are particularly unhelpful as they have the potential to destabilise and damage the Club - if this were to happen, it would force the Club to operate in a manner different from every other Football Club, where the receipt of season ticket monies in advance of games taking place is an established and accepted part of the normal working capital cycle of a Football Club. The projections the Directors have prepared show that the Group is able to operate with positive cash balances throughout the twelve month period from the date of approval of these financial statements under a normal season ticket renewal cycle. In the event that the receipt of season ticket monies was delayed, or only made available to the Group under a "pay as they play" approach, the Directors would require to seek alternative short term sources of finance to bridge the period between normal season ticket renewal and the season ticket funds being received by the Group. While the Directors believe that this would be possible given the significant unencumbered asset base of the Group, they are firmly of the belief that this would not be in the best interests of the Group's long term success. It is clear from the above that the issue is one of cashflow and the reason for it is a reduction in ST renewals. This is not the direct fault of the directors, because for the most part they are not in a position to reduce the cost base due to inherited player and other contracts. The cost budget can only be reduced gradually over a period of time as such contracts fall due for renewal, they are pretty much stuck with budgeted income to match I would guess; forecast income is quite another matter. This will have to be adjusted depending on the final figure for renewals and early indications of game by game and "walk up" attendance. In my opinion it is mostly down to poor quality fare on the pitch (for which you might blame the directors' reluctance to sack the management team) and to a lesser extent the UoF/SoS campaign.
  22. It was NOT a budget, that was indeed "crystal clear". I recall saying at the time that I could not understand how the company could make such a forecast, after enquiry, and I agree that they will have difficulty with any similar forecast in future; although the circumstances will be different. On the contrary, if I expect most or a large percentage of those who haven't paid upfront to pay more to see the games on a match by match basis then I wouldn't be overjoyed but I wouldn't be sh*tting myself either. I just have to organise my cashflow accordingly.
  23. It was indeed a forecast, there is no indication that Rangers were budgeting for this income.
  24. I'm not going to argue that 20,000+ v 36,000 is good, it isn't, but two points are worth taking into consideration: The statement "Modest increases in season ticket numbers for 2014/15 and beyond; " is a forecast not a budget; it is quite wrong to say Rangers are budgeting on that basis. The 36,000 was only achieved after the half price mid season sales, so it is not fair to compare where we are now with the final figure for last season.
