  1. That's why I said "most".
  2. So you are still suggesting less than 20,000 ST's? Whatever the final number this year and I predict it will steadily increase during the season, we will sell far more next summer if we are back in the SPL.
  3. The shareholders are not getting any income and most are sitting on a sizeable capital loss.
  4. I think it's very unfortunate when genuine fans like you feel that way but I hope that you will think of the Club and not the Board in the coming months and support the team.
  5. Point taken and I agree that it appears that a great many have not bought ST's for reasons other than those put forward by the aforementioned.
  6. My comments were not intended as a criticism of you, after all you wrote recently of The Grand Old Duke of York so I don't suppose you'll be getting an invite to any South African vineyards any time soon.
  7. Absolutely no chance whatsover. Still waiting for Bearger to tell us how many did sign up but I doubt it was remotely close to the 30,000 you keep on about. Everyone except you, Bearger, and Messrs Dinnie, Houston and Graham are going to be flocking to buy a ST next season.
  8. That's for sure, Frankie. I think it's because King held himself out as the white knight and was so vocal in his criticism of the Board and how he was going to stay here till he got it sorted, whilst all along he must have known that he and his cohorts were leading fans up the garden path for what reason one can only speculate. Whether a former director making ridiculous money out of the Club is more contemptible is hard to say. It's my view that Mr King misled fans in a grand way, so he gets the prize in my opinion.
  9. I wasn't at the AGM so I can't venture an opinion. My point is that Mr Stockbridge's shares and buying ST's/Ibrox 1972 Ltd are two different issues. Not buying a ST doesn't punish the directors for any wrongdoing; it just harms the Club.
  10. Spot on BD, very insightful or perhaps they are predicting that any such issues will have disappeared by the 9th of August? Are they going to make statements game by game advising fans whether or not to buy tickets that week?
  11. Absolutely correct and if whoever wrote that nonsense doesn't understand that then thank goodness they have nothing to do with running our Club.
  12. However contemptuous the agreement and whether or not the Board were deceitful, deliberately or otherwise, there is no relationship between Mr Stockbridge's shares and ST's or Ibrox 1972 Ltd. One has to assume that they took advice on terminating his contract and proceeded accordingly. If directors lied at the AGM then I would imagine that would be a criminal offence for which they could be held to account, never mind stock exchange rules etc. The Board made it 100% clear 2 months ago that they would not give any such undertaking to a third party nor would they sell ST's to them; so to suggest that the UoF have been "unable to come to any agreement" (implying negotiations on behalf of fans) is disingenuous to say the least. As I pointed out elsewhere yesterday (and had the OP tell me it was nonsense) and as PMU says today, delaying paying by not buying ST's will only continue to starve the Club of the funds it needs now and force it to borrow more or issue more sharres. As BD says, the final sentence is ludicrous, because whether you are paying game by game or buying a ST you are still contributing to the Club's income to pay its expenses including the player's wages. The suggestion that if you buy a ST, you are somehow "passing (your money) over blindly" but if you pay game by game you are not, is too stupid to be worth any further comment. I do hope that those who have hitherto pledged their money to Ibrox 1972 Ltd will now buy a ST and support the Club and the team, regardless of their thoughts about the current incumbents in the Board room. When's Mr King's next visit and how long is he staying this time?
  13. But surely that's the point; he has been marked absent all the while. Are you seriously suggesting he's been on the phone negotiating for the past two months? You say that as if given more time the scheme would have been a success; but it's precisely because it's been a dismal failure that it's being wound up. As you appear to have the inside track, exactly how many did sign up?
  14. You are an intelligent person, what's your explanation then for launching a company "to collect and pass on your season ticket money to the club in the event that they grant security over Ibrox." when Mr King must have known it had no chance of success and if he didn't know then he certainly knew on 6 May.
  15. They said that two months ago, what possible reason was there to keep the illusion going since then?
  16. What certainly is disingenuous is the suggestion by DK/UoF/SoS that there was EVER any possibility of the plan succeeding. Perhaps better might have been "pledge your money to me so I can put pressure on the club". That pressure such as it was, was always doomed to fail. Therefore the only possible reason for the whole farce is to increase the Club's debt burden and hence hasten new loans or share issues.
  17. That's as good a summary of the position as I have read and the 8th of August is nice timing for the first home match on the 9th. Only those who are indeed suffering "delusions" or even illusions such as those who say that the Board will not turn down the "millions" on offer from "tens of thousands" of customers, will think otherwise.
  18. Thanks for all that. However, that seems to me to point to poor judgement by the medical team (not for the first time I grant you), not that the Club in general "is living in an old boys' bubble where intelligence and commonsense are alien concepts." as Hildy suggested. And injured or not he scored 21 goals in 38 appearances last season, despite often looking cumbersome (perhaps due to carrying an injury); not a bad retrun even in the 3rd division.
  19. What is the issue with the statement about Daly being injured and how does that make "intelligence and commonsense alien concepts"?
  20. They would be mental to give in to this nonsense; you and I and Mr King, know they are not going to do that; but I don't think that Messrs Graham and Houston have received the message just yet.
