  1. Usual hyperbole from you. The accounts are not "incorrect". " The Directors note that Note 30 to the accounts for the 13 month period ended 30 June 2013 was incorrect to the extent that the options to which the share announcement on 1 July 2014 relate were not included." The headline in the Record is correct, the headline in the Sport is nonsense. It's embarrassing obviously for the Club and the Auditors but it's got nothing to do with the accounts themselves. No replies about supporting the Board or any of that please; I am just pointing out the facts.
  2. The bottom line is that RST owns some 0.86% of the shares and is going to have difficulty maintaining that percentage in the rights issue unless it can find about £100,000 to invest which seems unlikely as I doubt it's taking in more than £3,000/month (and I note there's still no answer on number of monthly contributors). I am sorry that I can't name the expert on fan representation but can assure you he is just that and not just on UK but world football. I have said repeatedly that I have no axe to grind any more on the RST. I went into it believing in fan ownership/ influence and I came out of it as is well known for quite different reasons. I wish we could start with a blank sheet of paper but infortunately that is not possible. I am a member of RF but that certainly doesn't stop me criticising them for not getting their act together with a constitution and elections. IMHO RF and RST need to knock their heads together for the greater good.
  3. I'll repeat the quote I posted before: and add another; Both from an expert in the field of fan ownership (not me) with no axe to grind.
  4. That's highly offensive if you don't know, if you disagree or have something else to say please do so but don't liken my reply to that of a Nazi. Thank you.
  5. Well if it is I'm sure you or FS will find the reference and hang me once again but surely everyone recognises that one fans shareholding group is better than two. And it is a fact that RF now has 1,000+ paying monthly (albeit disappointing given 650 in 5 days) whereas so far as I know (and I asked on here 2 or 3 times) RST/BR have never confirmed their numbers last quoted at "about 200". So RST has more shares now but RF will catch up quite quickly. It is not difficult to envisage a scenario where between them they might get to the reportable 3% and the magic 5% together over the next couple of years but apart it will take a very long time indeed. So I repeat, instaed of taking pot shots at me, what's your plan?
  6. OK then, I suggested that the RST contribute their shares to RF because RF has the facility to receive them whereas I don't think it could work the other way around. The RST could have had people on the steering group because it was said at the outset that no one (even me) brought baggage to RF and anyone who wants could stand for election if they ever get round to having elections. The only stipulation that I saw mentioned was that anyone standing should declare their past and current memberships and positions which is fair enough in my view. So let's be constructive on here for once; if you think it's a good idea what's your plan to make it happen?
  7. You might think that statement could be attributed to me but it actually came from an informed observer who is at the heart of fan representation in England.
  8. And I got ripped apart when I suggested that was what should happen and reported that it had been suggested from behind me in the room at one of the first RF meetings but subsequently denied and extinguished from the Minutes I wrote.
  9. You're right so I did but I wouldn't say that that was an attack on them and I don't think anyone but you thought I meant that literally.
  10. I did see him on TV once urging fans not to buy ST's and wondered who had appointed him as a fans' spokesperson but I had no idea what his name was and only recently connected the two. In fact I knew so little about him and Mr Houston that I got them mixed up in some of the Minutes I wrote for RF. I make no apologies for not knowing their past history. In my mind they have only become important in a negative way by the damage they have done and continue to do to the Club. I have looked at the VB web site once or twice and enjoy their analytical stuff but other than that I know nothing about them apart from the fact that some of them I believe are ex-RST. So their view on Mr Graham is of no consequence to me.
  11. I have not attacked their personal ticket buying habits, where did you get that from? I have attacked their statements and proposals that others should not buy ST's. I am not in a position to know if any of them have season tickets or if they attend regularly (though I would be happy to accept that information from you) or if any of them have purchased ST's for next season, though it certainly would be interesting if they have.
  12. You referred to "animosities from previous dealings" in a thread about the UoF/SoS protest march so I think it was pefectly obvious what the inference was and equally those who lead such groups must stand or fall on their stated positions and actions. I am more than happy to be judged on my opinioins as has certainly happened on here many times.
  13. Thanks for correction! I had forgotten about him and Sammy Baird till I looked back the teams.
  14. 127,621 Our forward line were no slouches either: Scott, McMillan, Millar/Murray, Baird/Brand and Wilson/Matthews. We defeated Anderlecht, Red Star and Sparta Rotterdam on the way to the semi v Eintracht. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1959%E2%80%9360_European_Cup
  15. Complete and utter nonsense. I had never heard of Mr Houston or Mr Graham until they got involved with UoF/ SoS. I have spoken to Mr Houston a couple of times in the passing; I have never met Mr Graham. It is simply the case that I think they are misguided and I did not agree with the ST Trust/Ibrox 1972 Ltd idea nor do I think that a march will achieve anything at all. That said I have stated that I respect people's right to protest in a peaceful manner. I have also stated that I do not trust Mr Dinnie because he was involved in the RST cover up but that is quite another matter and has no bearing on my view of the proposed march. I have been consistent in these views despite being in a minority on here and oftentimes pilloried for it. I am not hiding behind anything; quite the opposite in fact; it has been suggested more than once in public and in private that I am too open for my own good.
  16. Just beat me to it mate. The original deep lying centre forward, an Argentinian who acquired Spanish citizenship after his move to Real Madrid "Di Stéfano is best known for his time at Real Madrid where he was an integral part of one of the most successful teams of all time. He scored (then a club record, now surpassed by Raúl González) 216 league goals in 262 games for Real, striking up a fearsome partnership with Ferenc Puskás. Di Stéfano's 49 goals in 58 matches was for decades the all-time highest tally in the European Cup, until it was surpassed by Real Madrid's Raúl in 2005, and Milan's Andriy Shevchenko and Real Madrid's Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2006. Di Stéfano scored in five consecutive European Cup finals for Real Madrid between 1956 and 1960, including a hat-trick in the latter. Perhaps the highlight of his time with the club was their 7–3 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1960 European Cup Final at Hampden Park, a game many consider to be the finest exhibition of club football ever witnessed in Europe. " Players such as Pelé, Eusébio, Luis Suárez, Sandro Mazzola and John Charles described Di Stéfano as "the most complete footballer in the history of the game" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfredo_Di_St%C3%A9fano The Referee was Jack Mowat who was my supervisor as a young referee in the late 60's/early 70's What a forward line that was Canario, del Sol, Di Stefano, Puskas and Gento; destroyed the Germans who incredibly scored the first and last goals at Hampden after beating us 6-1 away and 6-3 at Ibrox in the Semi- Final.
  17. We shouldn't repeat the same mistake as last year. Gallagher is more than good enough to be our No.2 and if he has to sit on the bench that's what happens. We can't afford to pay a back up goalie to play one game a season. We're carrying too many passengers already; must be about 28-30 in the first team squad as it is. He should be told thanks for last season and all the best for the future.
  18. The poll has now been open for two weeks and there have no new votes added for a few days now. I propose to leave it open for another week, to catch anyone who has been a way for a fortnight, then declare the result and move ahead to decide venue etc. If anyone thinks it should be left open longer please post here.
  19. Much appreciated SC thanks and also to your Followers who RT'd and BEARGER.
  20. Down to 15,000 now (a big number yes I agree) but diminishing daily and as I think is common ground more have not renewed due to disillusionment with the team/style of play/lack of tactics etc than disillusionment with the Board. By 9 August I think we will have c. 25,000 ST's and only a relatively small number of the "missing" 10,000 will be down to the Board factor.
  21. Probably a mixture of most of that TB. They haven't done a great deal to earn my trust as yet (a subject that I recall debating here before) but as you say they are the only show in town and I believe that they will do their best to put this Club back on the map. Do I think they will try to make as much out of it personally as they can - YES; am I happy about that - NO; would I prefer a Board made up of "Rangers men" who didn't take a penny - YES I WOULD (but even WS took his £50,000). Do I fancy King in charge - NO I DON'T. Do I think the present incumbents are the only way to keep him out - NO; he is keeping himself out.
