  1. Doubt it; think you'll find it will be a combination of the match category and where you sit as per this season; either way it seems that the big difference is that ST's are based on the lowest price category so it would appear you would avoid paying higher prices for higher cat games.
  2. Dodn't realise that Gallagher wan't on the trip http://therangersreport.com/2014/07/14/is-scott-gallacher-set-to-leave-rangers/
  3. I would think that would be correct; and BTW did that not operate before anyway? Celtic: Cat A Cat B: Hibs or Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd Cat C: Others in the Top 6 Cat D: Bottom 6 or something like that.
  4. You have already said you are not going regardless, so what difference does the pricing make?
  5. I do think we have an arguable case on some aspects of this e.g. prize money, TV money; but not the transfer fees that were due because the Clubs can't be expect to pay back newco if oldco doesn't have the money to pay. Apart from anything else it was the RIGHT thing to do. Technically, yes, it was an oldco debt; but if we say we are the same CLUB, then from a purely football perspective, those debts had to be paid for our own self esteem. We don't have a case against HMRC, the SFA or the SPL per se; because they will all say that they based their decisons on the facts that were apparent at the time. The fact that the decision in the BTC and on the EBT's have gone our way subsequently doesn't change any of that. However, the 5-way agreement is another matter and I do think we have a case for a certain amount of compensation and if handled correctly I think we might just get something. Threatening court action at this point won't achieve anything.
  6. I think insolvency event would be more accurate, would it not?
  7. These prices seem very fair to me; loads of seats at £20 or less for Cat B and ditto £25 or less for Cat A. I would think that having established the long ovedue principal; the differential will be increased next season. Derby's model is also worth considering: Demand Based Pricing Derby County Football Club uses Demand Based Pricing to price its home match tickets. This means that the price of match tickets can go up at any time based on the demand for a particular game, or area of the iPro Stadium. Customers are encouraged to purchase early to take advantage of the ticket prices shown as they are subject to constant change. Find out more information by visiting: http://www.wearederby.com/ticket-office/demand-based-ticketing. Matchday Purchases Match ticket prices increase on the day of the game by £3 for adult tickets and £2 on concession tickets throughout all areas of the iPro Stadium. The prices displayed on WeAreDerby.com do not reflect this increase. Matchday tickets are available from the Ticket Office. 8. If it was half way through the season, yes; but personally I wouldn't read too much into it; as I said Brora had a very experienced team: Tokely, Munro, Morrison etc. We struggled against 10 men at Forres in 2012/13 in the Cup. That said, I wouldn't have been too happy if I'd made the trip!
  9. Don't see the point of your reply; all he said was that it was a meaningless match which gives no indication of the season ahead for either team. If we lose to Ventura County Fusion what will that say about our chances in the Championship?
  10. Some intersting comments from the BLUEMOON SITE East Level 2 wrote:54.8 mpg and easy to park near the ground. Well worth driving the 620 miles round trip for. And it's odd to see two "major" grounds less than 200 yards apart. Also worth it to see Jovetic, Nasty and Micah each manage half a game without picking up and injury. And the steak pies were good too. And it was sunny. Agreed. I enjoyed the weekend away in the sun. It was bizarre to see the two stadiums alongside each other. We had a good laugh with some Dundee fans. It was a fantastic turn-out of Blues. What's not to like? The match was a typical pre-season walkabout. The only thing I would have any concern about is that our fringe players are still a million miles from the first team or even the bench. I really can't see the point of Boyata, Rodwell, Sinclair, Guidetti (other than the obvious home-grown element) still being in the squad. They are not youngsters any more. Got to say, I enjoyed the trip. Met some great Blues from the Aberdeen branch. Christ, those guys are dedicated, it's a hell of a round trip to watch a 'home' match. As has been said, it was a typical first game pre season friendly and so no point dwelling on the result. The only downsides for me was confirmation that Guidetti will never fulfil his promise and a complete lack of appreciation for the City fans from the players. It's the same every pre-season. City fans/Blue Moon forum members getting into a hissy fit because City have lost a pre-season friendly. F***ing Ground Hog Day. Get a grip! When will some of you learn, these games mean jack s***! It's about getting fit. End of! That aside, most of our 1st team are away, either playing in or resting after the World Cup. But if some of you want to beat yourselfs up about being beaten by Dundee, feel free. Because when we play Newcastle away and Liverpool at home, this game will be long foforgotten. They don't seem too concerned.
  11. I'd say there were two really embarrassing cup resuults in 2013/14 but surely you would concede (since NIL in the league 2013/14 vs 11 in 2012/13) that there was a major improvement last season. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will be the rebuilding of the Rangers.
  12. And Hearts on the opening day and others v them and Hibs?
  13. According to you there should be plenty of £17-£21 tickets but wha'ts your new estimated average attendance then?
  14. That would be an option obviously but given that the fact that prices weren't increased last season was cited as one of many reasons for our financial plight, I doubt it got any serious consideration. I am now paying £490 for Main Front compared with £550 for MRE in 2011/12. Given inflation, our financial circumstances, Championship (inc Hibs and Hearts) v SPL I think that's fair and reasonable. It should also be noted that a ST appears to avoid paying the premium for the Cat A games. Come on GS, sign up, you KNOW it makes sense
  15. What were Robben's comparable stats? Any other contenders on that basis, just asking. On the FIFA site Robben has a higher CASTROL rating but it doesn't cover all the categories you list, where did you get those stats? Kroos got the highest Castrol rating followed by Robben, De Vrij, Hummels and Muller (who covered the most distance 83957 m!) http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/statistics/castrol-index/index.html
  16. They couldn't be accused of starving us, that's for sure. You need some fattening up anyway.
  17. And why not, all other types of season tickets are cheaper than singles.
  18. It does seem so. However, I assume that that will be for seats near the half way line and I understand that the pricing is more graduated than in the past. I got a move to the Main Front, very near the Directors Box and it's £490, so £27.22 per game. Plus 8% would be give you the £29 and presumably then a 10% premium for the Cat A games. My existing seat in the MRE was going to be £460, £25.61 per game so presumably +8% would now be £27 or £28 and then about £30 for Cat A. I strongly support the principal of match day tickets being more expensive than pro rata the ST's; it has been the opposite up until now and that defied all logic (even given that it guaranteed you, your own seat).
  19. You are correct there are not many alternatives. IF we do go back to Malaga Tapas, then I would suggest a better route might be along Dumbreck, left at Nithsdale Road, and then left and all the way down St Andrews Drive. In my experience most of the traffic is going the other way on Nithsdale Road and the junction at St Andrews Drive clears quickly and then it's a free flow down towards Shields Rd. The PRW route, although shorter in theory, was a nightmare last time, despite the taxi I was in dodging in and out of the traffic and round the side streets. Cristobal will give us the cafe he has acquired and fitted out very nicely next door if we want or need more space (and will give it to us exclusively if we get the numbers). In fact he offered that last time but the decision was made by the film crew because the main restaurant was more atmospheric. He reckons 20-30 for the cafe in order to create a decent atmosphere. If we get the same dozen or so as last time then my personal opinion is that the main restaurant would be best. Please vote on the assumption that the accommodation will depend on the numbers.
  20. Very sorry rbr, but a generous gesture, much appreciated.
  21. Certainly Rodriguez was the best "rising star". Of course, if Peralta (the real one) had been there.........
  22. I think that's a very good point which I heard made by the BBC panel as well. I don't think Messi was fit; if he was, he certainly didn't raise a leg, strolled around most of the time, whilst all others around him were covering far more distance. IMHO Muller for Germany and Robben for Holland contributed far more to their teams than Messi.
