You're surely not still clinging to that £50m pipedream are you?

You are the one who constantly refers to not giving ST money to the Board.

The Board didn't deliver? By not agreeing to grant security or sell ST's to a third party? Come on GS you have to be joking.

Not for a while before tonight.

I think it's pretty damn good at this point in time given the campaign by DK/UoF/SoS. Why do you always have to be so incredibly negative?

There's 5 weeks to go till the start of the season and we're selling about 1,000 a week, so I stand by 25,000.

Going back to the OP, I'm reliably informed that there were indeed queues last weekend and that sales are now "very close to 20,000".

The clients are considering renting it but are still currently living there but I can help with rentals elsewhere if you give me an idea whwere and when, please PM. Thanks for asking.

Wow, that would be outstanding!

If my maths serves me then our average KO time of the first two matches is 4.37.5am Saturday. It's four in the morning football could be a thing for insomniacs.

Well done Frankie, another Gersnet scoop; it isn't even up on Rangers web site. Any info on Sat 23rd v Dumbarton?

What else goes on on a Friday night in Falkirk?

What a pain.
-
Yes they are but it wouldn't be difficult to publish Minutes on the web site as happened for the original meetings up to end March.
-
I thought we would get a warning to stay on topic and had my defence all ready But you're right, apart from the recent poll there's only been 2 email updates in more than 3 months and as I said no Minutes of the Steering Group Meetings assuming they are taking Minutes. That's not good enough from a fans' organisation taking in £10,000+ a month.
-
It's my opinion that it should be as open and transparent as possible especially when dealing with other people's money/shares etc and in the current climate surrounding the Club. At the beginning I called for regular updates on number of members, number of life members, amount being raised etc but so far as I know that has never been made public (well perhpas once that I can remember). They were going to put a membership ticker on the web site but that hasn't appeared. There shouldn't be any reason why they can't disclose membership numbers at least monthly. Also and perhaps more importantly I seem to recall "a General Meeting and full elections" were promised "within 60 to 90 days" which period has certainly expired and looking at the Forum it seems that they are only now beginning to think about consulting on that. It's all very well having grandiose schemes for a Rangers Senate but you need to get your own governance in order first.
-
Yes and emails although they dried up for a while but no Minutes of Meetings.
-
As a member I am also concerned that no Minutes of the Steering Group Meetings have been posted on the web site; indeed no Minutes for 3 months.

Strange that it's not on their web site or in a press release? But it's excellent news, implying they've spent about £20,000 and assuming they've kept to the plan only to invest half the money pending a rights issue (not sure if they would qualify) then they've taken in about £40,000 in about 4 months, which sounds about right - say 1,000 members at an average £10/month not counting Life Members. However, that's only 0.1075% of the Company and at that rate it's going to take a helluva long time to have a meaningful holding "to get to the 5% ownership of a PLC that gives the Rangers First members some rights in relation to the Club" (even with the possibility of share donations); but it's a start as you say. Interesting that the sales and purchases of the last two days have actually driven the price down 5% to 28.5p clealrly demonstrating that those buying and indeed selling in reasonable numbers get a better deal than those dealing in hundreds of shares.

I have to say that in my particular case at least I did not know anything about Messrs Graham and Houston before the former somehow became a fans' spokesperson and they both became involved in the UoF. I base my opinion on what they have said and done in that context. My opinion of Mr Dinnie goes back to other matters that have been well-rehearsed but suffice to say that they are far more serious than his choice of reading material or coffee mates.

I'll take that as agreement.

I agree wholeheartedly with that and if recent events (including the liquidation of the Company) have not brought about such cohesion then nothing ever will. As has been said often, those who post comments on forums are but a tiny minority of fans and even Ibrox 1972 Ltd doesn't appear to have attracted more than about 20% of ST holders. I't s just apity that we don't have a blank canvass to start a member owned Club but that as they say is another story.

No, I said it was "ridiculous". I would have sacked him and been prepared to go to court to defend my action but as I said I can only assume the Board were advised otherwise. Yes, I do but perhaps not the full amount (note I am not venturing an opinion on whether or not it would be justified).

Saving your money to buy us all a round at the next dinner? Seriously still think that's a terrible shame but up to you obviously.

GS My question about 20,000 was meant to be start of the season as well. I am sure you are correct that it hasn't reached that number yet.
