  1. To be advised but probably August or September depending on holidays and fixtures.
  2. It's like a giant game of chess with the fans as the sacrificial pawns in the middle. Clearly Dave King is the White King with Messrs Houston, Graham and Dinnie taking up attacking roles as Queen and Knights (not necessarily in that order!) and perhaps some would cast Wallace as the Black King with Nash as his (sic) Queen, the Easdales as the Black Knights and oh dear this is dangerous, who would be the bishops and the rooks? The Club appear to be in check but still have some loyal pieces; the question is - can King deliver check mate? And what of the old King and his trusty Knight seen in the directors box today; may they still come back into play? [/img]
  3. You're getting charged for dinner and drinks whether you go or not.
  4. King is an extremely clever operator and he is manipulating the fans to do his dirty work for him.
  5. I am sorry but I must have misunderstood your question Andy, I thought you were asking why a fan would pay the Club rather than a CC company.
  6. I think these are good questions. I have been wondering whether or not any of the £1.5m has been drawn down and on what terms the fees would be payable i.e. is the fee payable regardless because the facility is there; is it payable if say 1p is drawn (fictional case of course); or is it payable proportionally? The answers to those questions may well be in the documents and should certainly be asked of the CEO otherwise. On your second point I am not an expert on CC's but I would think that if you buy a product or service from a company through a CC: then the CC company is giving you an unsecured loan for the amount in question; and they are then paying the company outright for that service; so no, I don't think it is a loan to the company. However the issue is that under the law the CC company may be liable for non-performance of that service and that is the risk that it seems that Rangers CC company were not prepared to take without security. I see where you are going with this but I still don't agree.
  7. I am led to believe that that may no longer be the case, some may just decide to cut their losses.
  8. Asking fans to put their ST money into a new company just launched by DK is "an attempt to get cash into the club", sorry, please explain that to me if you will? Why not just pay it to the Club for your ST?
  9. I am sorry that you do not understand the difference between a loan and advance payment for a service to be rendered but that is why you seem to be confused about security.
  10. What complete and utter nonsense. Graham Wallace obviously made a mistake "asking players to take a wage cut" but he was appointed on 21 November 2013, so how has he " presid(ed) over a massive 18 month cash blow"?
  11. Because the former is loan the latter is payment for a service; we've been through all this before.
  12. FS didn't touch anything stronger than sparkling water and neither did his friend Robert have anything worse than a diet coke. Didn't see Dave Smith take anything more than a bit of paella and a basket of bread but can't vouch for anyone else in the transport.
  13. I am pleased to announce that the Joint Winners of The Official First Annual Gersnet Dinner Half Time Quiz Part I (as recorded by the lovely Alison) were: bluebear54, Crawford01 & the gunslinger. I am equally pleased to announce that the Joint Winners of The Official First Annual Gersnet Dinner Half Time Quiz Part II (as recorded by the lovely Alison) were: Crawford01, rbr (with a little help from friends) & Tannochsidebear. rbr overcame Tannochsidebear by a narrow 3-2 margin to win the Part II tie breaker despite numerous interventions from Dave Smith. However, I declare Crawford01 the overall winner of the The Official First Annual Gersnet Dinner Half Time Quiz
  14. That's a good shout Mark. How about a crema catalana with extra sugar for good measure.
  15. As a purely personal opinion I have no objection to the photos being posted in this thread but otherwise I'll supply my email address by PM and would be grateful for copies.
  16. There seeemed to be a general consensus that we should look at something early in the new season e.g. Aug or Sep but no reason why we shouldn't do a Christmas or New Year Lunch or Dinner. I'll think about a poll once the season ends and/or we see the fixtures.
  17. Careful; you'll bring a tear to my eye; but much appreciated and again a pleasure to arrange and put faces to the names. Some of you are not half as scary in real life as you are behind the pseudonyms and keyboards. Mucho gusto y hasta la vista.
  18. You are all most welcome; glad a good time was had by all and I escaped unscathed.
  19. I mentioned that I was very disappointed that you were unable to attend but aside from that I did not hear your name mentioned; although I was not privy to all that was discussed at the head of the table!
  20. Everyone was extremely well behaved, a tribute to Gersnet and the Club IMHO.
