  1. I do not know whether or not it is possible for the RST/BR scheme to transfer shares to RF but perhaps someone from RST could enlighten us?
  2. Regrettably and judging by the venom that was unleashed against me here when I passed on the comment that I heard at one of the earlier meetings, you may well be correct.
  3. That's what I think may happen and inded I would be shocked if discussions had not already taken place.
  4. My point was that the lump sums and or £125 totals paid to RST/BR have lagely been invested to purchase the 500,000+ shares and that they do not have the money now to exercise their rights in a new issue. You have rehearsed your point about the differences in the schemes often enough and correct me if I am wrong but what you get in the RST/BR is a community share NOT a share in RIFC? The shares are owned collectively are they not? Paying monthly does not "go on for ever" with RF. The shares are owned collectively and you can of course stop your contributions whenever you want. So both are schemes for fans to own shares collectively but I think you would agree that the RF scheme has more flexibility. In any case surely it would be best to combine the best elements of both schemes?
  5. An awful lot of sense in what you say Crawford (as always). Hopefully your final line will not be met with the same foul and abusive attack to which I was subjected when I made the same suggestion. However, leaving aside the past history and personalities involved; one of the issues is that I doubt the either the RST/BR or the RF has any significant amount of money to invest at the moment. plgsarmy has twice declined to confirm exactly how many people are investing monthly in the RST/BR but lets say 200 at £11.25 for 5 months would be not much more than £10,000 and I doubt it's as much as that. I have been calling on the RF to publish figures from the beginning but it has at least 1,000 at an average of say £10 so is probably bringing in say £10,000/month for 2 months and some life memberships at £500; so lets say £25,000. Not a lot in the overall scheme of things. By the autumn they might have say £100,000 to invest between them. RST/BR does have 557,856 (0.86%) to bring to the table but will struggle to take up their rights unless they get a major injection of funds.
  6. And that is certainly quite right; I hope he has made an appointment. Not sure if he'll be allowed to copy it; I doubt it.
  7. We also do not know how much if any of that money is in cash on deposit or whether it is simply the case that Mr Letham's creditworthiness is better than that of Rangers at this moment in time (which wouldn't be difficult) and therefore he is in a position to borrow the money at a much better rate than Rangers, secured or not in either case. Neither do we know ( I don't think) how much if any of that money has been or is likely to be drawn down (which probably depends on ST renewals). I doubt very much that any successful business person simply has that amount of cash "lying around", it will be on deposit and quite possibly not on instant access/overnight rates.
  8. Do we know for a fact when any such performance related bonus would be due?
  9. "I believe that it is vital that fans now withhold season ticket money from this board and similarly refuse to support the club by way of the purchase of replica kit or any other retail product. " DK statement 11 April 2014.
  10. The general impression I have of him from his statements and some aspects of his previous history. RANGERRAB has pretty much summed it up.
  11. Once again it was a pleasure. And perhaps I final word of thanks to Andy for the original idea.
  12. Thank you for that and I think you know me well enough to know that the l do not indulge in name calling, foul or abusive language or any of that kind of thing. BTW sorry you were not able to come to the dinner yesterday but your name was mentioned on a number of occasions as being the man with the original idea.
  13. No 1: I don't think he is offering or has any intention of investing £50 million; and No 2: Quite easily, by the strategy of calling on fans directly and indirectly (through UoF/SoS) to starve the Club of its main source of Income.
  14. A few of my own probably better here than on the match thread. [/img] [/img]
  15. This is what I have been saying all along; if King underwrites the issue (which will only happen if the Board can't find someone they consider more palatable) then he will pick up around 10% - 15% for say £10m-£15m. His strategy seems to be two-fold: use the UoF to drive the price down so the offer is set at as low a price as possible (perhaps no more than 20p) and if that fails drive the club to admin2 and pick up the whole thing for a song. If that were to happen quickly then we would take the points hit now and still be promoted. But either way its quite shameful IMHO.
  16. I have PM'd all attendees with my two feeble efforts; apologies to all those whose heads or other parts have been cut off. Anyone else with a legitimate reason for wanting to see them please PM. I'm sure bluebear's official pics will be MUCH better.
  17. Not sure if should officially reveal who scored sin puntos in the The Official First Annual Gersnet Dinner Half Time Quiz Parts I & II combined? Suffice to say that the same person went away with two large doggie bags of paellas and they were not a booby prize. But I can reveal that I put on 4lbs, in part however, due to the large bar of Spanish Turron con Leche I had the nerve to eat most of when I got home. Thanks again to all who came along and indeed those who were not able to attend but nonetheless wished us well; made it all worthwhile
  18. Thanks for asking Andy. The above chess comparison was an attempt to be a little light hearted in what are extremely difficult times, I am sorry if you see it differently; but I respect your opinion. IMHO I haven't said anything remotely comparable about anyone to what has been said about me; nor have I ever threatened anyone's person, business or property, nor would I; all of which has happened to me. I have frequently quoted Mr Justice Smallwood on Mr King and I have said that I disagree with the leaders of the UoF but I don't think I have attacked their characters indeed I think I said this last night or this morning that Gordon Dinnie is a very clever person although it is equally true that I would not trust him and I believe that you are well aware of the reason for that.
  19. Not taken from my seat I hasten to add but close to where a certain other well known poster sits!
