  1. The good news (considering the lack of support from bears) is that SDMC have been approached by http://kaleidoscopefilmdistribution.com/content/index.asp to fund the entire production for UK and international distribution. The bad news is that they have to start again filming from scratch in wide screen format.
  2. The Time Has Come old Adam Faith song, way before your time.
  3. Hildy;471458 Owning 0.83% of the shares in oldco and owning 0.86% of the shares in newco? Some might quibble with your definition of success. Are you saying that he has been influenced by the RST? Do you have any evidence to back that up?
  4. I think fan "ownership" in this context is a misnomer; fan influence is a more realistic and achievable objective. One of the examples that is often quoted of the fan ownership model is Germany; but as is set out here http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/bundesliga/id/432?cc=5739, only 6 clubs are still run under the old model and one of those, Hamburg, is 100 million euros in debt and set to change as a result.
  5. So all the board members who have resigned over the past 6/7 years are "quitters"?
  6. Pleased to be corrected about the number of buses represented; satnav sent me to field near Newmains so I missed the beginning. Nice to meet you young man.
  7. Any footballer should be able to make a pass when unchallenged in the defensive third of the park where he started most of the time if not somewhere south of half way; it's the ones who can do it in the final third that make the difference.
  8. Quite so but desperately disappointing nonetheless. The way the take up is right now but we can hold it at the chippie van on Edmiston Drive.
  9. So it was less than 200 "a few weeks ago"; surely you must know the number of people who have signed up since then, don't they complete DDM's and/or application forms? So the bank doesn't provide you with a breakdown of who is paying what? How then do you account for each person's share?
  10. I do apologise, so the BR DD scheme has being going for 3 months, how many people are paying monthly? No, I'm not promoting one against the other but when I made another suggestion I got shot down in flames so I won't make it again. I have previously commended the RST on this forum for raising the £250,000 but at the end of the day it's still less than 1% of the shares and will be diluted to half that if you don't raise in excess of another £100,000 to buy shares when the inevitable new issue comes along.
  11. Me too, that's why I've been pushing the restaurant on the deal since the poll results were announced.
  12. I was at the first "town hall" regional meeting tonight in a a packed bar in Wishaw. At the end of the night the 2/3 buses represented all intended taking out Life Memberships and all 50 or so people in the room enthusiastically supported the concept. If this can be repeated throughout the country not to mention abroad I am convinced that this scheme will quickly break through all its targets. I am sure it will have at least 1,000 members by the weekend and double that or more by the end of this month. Very soon there will be a short form that you can print off the web site to hand out to those around you in the stadium. If everyone sends a text to all their friends who are Rangers fans in their contacts it will spread like wildfire.
  13. I am sure he means that Rangers First has at least 3 times as many monthly subscribers in 5 days as BuyRangers has in getting on for 2 years.
  14. Isn't it a fact that less than 200 people are paying monthly? Surely you must know the exact number from the money going into the bank account?
  15. Given the initial enthisiasm 4 men and a boy is pretty disappointing so far. Surely everyone isn't going to Frankie's mates wedding?
  16. The second half tactics in Maribor after he had to take off Naismith at half time were a disgrace. (As were the team who trooped off the pitch at the end heads down without even acknowledging the fans who had had one of the most difficult journeys across Europe to get there.) We had them on the run and were comfortable 1-0 up at half time but gave away the initiative in the second half and were eventually overrun. And Bougherra should never have played in Malmo.
  17. "There has been a fantastic response since launching the campaign at 4pm on Wednesday 5th of March with over 650 Rangers fans committing to RangersFirst. The initial launch has mainly focused on Twitter and Facebook with almost all the traffic coming from both social networks. On average for every 10 visitors to the RangersFirst website a fan signs up. In the next 7-14 days RF plans to launch the RangersFirst Promotional Video which will explain the CIC concept in detail. They are also in the process of setting up a road show team that will visit Supporters Clubs and Rangers affiliated venues across the UK." (For the avoidance of doubt I have inserted quotation marks to make it clear that this is not my wording, I received an email with this text which I have altered only insofar as changing from first to third person.) http://www.rangersfirst.org/
  18. I don't have a problem with him coming, if there is more than one child, then I'm sure they could set up a special table. Can't guarantee that children eat free, though! I don't see an issue from the restaurant point of view, depending on what and how much he drinks! I think it would be up to you as to whether or not you wanted to subject him to the rest of us.
  19. Malaga Tapas are expanding next door; I'm sure they could accommodate the wedding party.
  20. That's a shame (that you can't come, not the wedding, of course), did you vote for this date?
