Why is it pointless? The attendance has been discussed and I got this figure today in another conversation with a well placed source inside the Club; obviously I can't reveal the source. I'll bet you a pie and bovril that it's nearer 17,000 than 33,000 how about that?

Rangers First vote to offer club £500,000 loan
BrahimHemdani replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
It's not clear to me exactly what the current Board are trying to do in terms of funding but I am not comfortable with us living from one loan to another no matter who are providing the loans. Don't you think it would have been better for Rangers First to have sounded the Club out before making the offer? -
Rangers could face punishment over sectarian chanting

Thanks for the compliment, Scott. I can't argue with you on that although I was never a member of an RSC and am convinced I had a badge with such a motto in the late 50's or early 60's. However, this has been hotly debated many times in the past and is a bit adrfit from the OP; which subject is now being addressed in new threads. -
Rangers First vote to offer club £500,000 loan

I must admit that I have concerns over the continuing loan scenario. The Club must obtain sufficient long term capital in the form of equity as soon as possible and must also balance the books if not on a season by season basis at least over a reasonably short term cycle. -
17,000 as of today according to a well placed source.

Rangers First vote to offer club £500,000 loan
BrahimHemdani replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
RANGERS International Football Club plc note Rangers First’s decision to seek approval from its members to offer the Club a loan of £500,000. The Club is not considering further loans at this time beyond what has already been committed and announced. However, any offer from Rangers First will be considered as part of any future fund raising. Rangers remains committed to forging even closer links with supporters and the Club is working on a new initiative to make this possible. It is hoped all of the Club’s fan groups, including Rangers First, will participate fully in acquiring a larger stakeholding in the company and this initiative by Rangers First could be incorporated into such a proposal. It should also be understood that Rangers First was not approached by the Club for funding and, despite what has been incorrectly reported, had no discussion whatsoever with the chairman, Dave King, that their funding, if accepted, would be matched by Mr King. http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-international-football-club-statement-3/ -
Rangers could face punishment over sectarian chanting

I am one who remains convinced that Rangers motto was indeed Aye Ready. I remember badges with that in my youth. Robert McElroy clarified this on another website. Rangers’ motto has officially been ‘Ready’ now for over 40 years. Originally the Rangers motto was ‘Aye Work Awa’ which was then changed to ‘Ready, Aye Ready’, subsequently shortened to ‘Aye Ready’ and finally in 1966 to ‘Ready’. The change in 1966 was explained as being a modernising move, but in fact it was so that the crest could be legally incorporated. http://www.scottishleague.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1004 -
I am delighted to be able to confirm that Rangers two goalscoring Barcelona Hall of Fame legends, Colin Stein and Willie (Bud) Johnston will be our very special guests at the Dinner on 30 January 2016. The duo will take part in an hour long Q&A session before dinner. As a result of the additional guest it has been necessary to make a small adjustment to the cost, which will now be £15.00 per head. However, I am sure that everyone will agree that £15 is small price to pay to be able to put your questions to two of the greatest living Rangers players, never mind enjoy a full 3-course dinner as well. The Christmas/New Year Dinner last year with Dave Smith, whose crosses led to the first two goals, was the best of the three so far; but I have a feeling that this one will surpass that occasion. The restaurant only holds 35 people, and I am sure that demand for tickets will outstrip supply, so it will be strictly first come first served in terms of payment. A reminder that the previous payment details still apply and for newcomers please PM me urgently for the details.

Rangers v Hibernian: SPFL to discuss sectarian chants
BrahimHemdani replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
As per #11 on the Halliday thread, more appropriate here In Scotland as elsewhere there is a defence of "reasonably practicable". If the Club can show that they have done everything reasonably practicable in terms of stewarding, announcements, etc to advise supporters against this type of behaviour, then they won't be charged, never mind found guilty of any offence. The best example of this was when the Hearts fan John Wilson attacked Neil lennon in 2011. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...tic-match.html Hearts were not charged because they could show that they had the correct number of stewards required by their licence. In Europe the criteria is "strict liability" where the Club is responsible for the actions of its supporters or perhaps better stated what happens inside its ground regardless of any preventive measures they may have taken. Hence Clubs cannot be fined for behaviour at Scottish matches that would incur fines and other action in Europe. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/c...ility-in-spfl/ -

I think that whilst Halliday was wrongly sent off for allegedly butting Fyvie, he is nonetheless fortunate to get away with a yellow for the combined action of kicking out at Fyvie (whether or even how severely he connected) and the shoulder charge both of which could have merited a yellow and hence a combined red card. Hopefully he has had a private wigging from MW and will have learned his lesson. -

They took £3.5m from Celtic in a 6 month spell for Armstrong, Mackay-Steven and Ciftci, they only have themselves to blame. -
They don't seem to rate Windass very highly but of course they're only fans, what would they know. On the whole they appear to take a realistic view of the business side of things.

Serious question, do you mean it's too little or too much? Or are you just suprised it's there at all? How does £3.5M become "profiting to the tune of roughly £4M" if he does well? What's £500,000 between friends I suppose. -

Not Falkirk per se but I do rate Peter Houston very highly as a coach and we should have had Mark Kerr when he was at Dundee Utd if not Aberdeen. Couldn't believe QoS let him go to Falkirk. He ran the game against us when they won 2-0 in December 2014. -

Interesting that in amongst those overall stats Falkirk have only conceded 3 goals in 10 home games compared with our 7, while playing mainly against teams who "park the bus" at Ibrox playing 4-4-1-1 or the like, albeit we have scored nearly twice as many goals. Also when you look at our away goals against record: 8 conceded in 9 games is not dissimilar to Hibs 9 in 9, QoS are better with only 7 in 9 and even St Mirren are arguably better with 9 in 10. Where we prevail again is in goals scored where we are averaging almost 3 a game. Falkirk play a very controlled type of football ably coached by Houston and marshalled on the pitch by Mark Kerr. If they can avoid injuries and suspensions I think they'll run Hibs very close for second.
