  1. I didn't realise he went there after the Sheff utd role. Brentford are flying in that league.
  2. Agree on both points. More so the 2nd especially when David Weir is without a coaching job at the moment.
  3. Very difficult to say if he meant it or not.
  4. If Cribari is leaving then its another centre half down and that suggests we will be going into the season with McCulloch again. I like Hutton as a player but he has been unlucky with injuries.
  5. Swansea did me on Saturday on a 6 fold.
  6. Man Utd were awful, they need to cut their losses and just get rid of Moyes. I cant work out how some people are blaming Ferguson for leaving him with a poor team - he won the league. And Selmy is right Liverpool could have had 2 more pens. Rosickys goal was a belter, Arsenal still in the title race. Need to get something at Stamford Bridge next week though.
  7. Thank gosh it wasn't at Ibrox. St Johnstone will beat them in the other semi.
  8. Stevie Paterson - he was mental. Out on the piss every night.
  9. A load of my mates travelling down for this game you'd think it was a CL final. 40000 - where they getting that from! Inverness had a game midweek so will be more tired, would really like to see Caley take the trophy home today.
  10. Mourinho was right then, the league table was false. Chelsea lose at Villa and City win at Hull, 6 pts gap with 3 games in hand. Makes the run in interesting. Huge games later today, Man Utd v Liverpool and Spurs v Arsenal. Arsenals chance for the title, win today and win against Swansea in their spare game puts gives them a chance but I cant see them winning today with no strikers. Past titles winning teams had henry, Bergkamp, Anelka, Wiltord and Kanu. A knackered Giroud cant match that. Score draw 2-2 with Spurs Arsenal. Man Utd to beat Liverpool 2-1.
  11. If it was our choice we wouldn't want them in Ibrox either.
  12. I used to get GOL TV here until last year and both Rangers and Celtic games were on almost every week which is why I saw a lot of games up until this season. Perhaps they have done me a favour this year though by the readings of some performances.
  13. A win on Sunday does good for his career but I would gladly see Inverness lift the cup to disappoint 40000 sheep at parkhead.
  14. You can buy them on the website. Click on the match then choose your seat and pay. http://billetterie.psg.fr/uk
  15. Couldn't he say "I encourage all our fans to behave themselves and just enjoy the occasion" rather than
  16. Spurs backing up the argument that the Premier League isn't the highest standard. A team going for the CL easily beaten at home by the Portuguese side.
  17. Putting a few youngsters in doesn't mean a new starting XI. Ally could play 1 or 2 then bring 2 or 3 off the bench replacing those starting while keeping the majority of the team experienced. It just gives them first team experience ahead of next season rather than throwing them in the deep end in the Championship.

    Next Season

I kind of wanted to add this to my thread yesterday 'rest of the season' but thought the night after winning the title may be a bit soon. I think next season will be far more competitive and teams will be tougher. I actually think some teams last season tried to play better football than Championship sides do but don't have the physical side of pace to the game due to being part time. We need to strengthen a bit but only if its key long term players, there is no point strengthening for one season then having to do it again next year should be we going up to the top flight. The first place Id strengthen is in the management / coaching side. I hope Ally brings in a fresh face with new ideas and good tactical knowledge. Should be an interesting league on paper with Hearts and maybe another SPL side plus 2 from Falkirk, Dundee or Hamilton.
  19. That's a potential trip!
  20. League title, Ramsdens cup win and runners up in the Scottish Cup would reflect a fairly successful season. The treble would be incredible considering where we are.
  21. League wrapped up, job done. I think the players will play with a lot more freedom for the last 8 league games and we could see a few more heavy scores. but it should be a chance to play a few more youngsters and rest key players for the 2 cups. The Ramsdens will take care of itself but there is no reason why we shouldn't be going full pelt for the Scottish Cup. When we go for it games Id say we are at our best and don't have anything to fear from Dundee Utd at Ibrox. Of course we have to redeem ourselves against Albion first. I suppose the players will want to go through the full league campaign unbeaten and that will be high up of priorities. So targets between now and end of May while playing nicer football: Win Ramsdens Cup Win Scottish Cup Go league season unbeaten.
  22. Before the draw for the quarters were made Man City were giving some people the feeling they were unbeatable but that's probably because they are playing the likes of Stoke and Newcastle. Come up against the European sides and it shows the standard in Europe is better than in England. The Premier league is the most entertaining but isn't the highest quality. It wouldn't surprise me to see Chelsea and Man Utd follow Arsenal and City out. Chelsea still have a job to do and are odds on favourites but I wouldn't put it past Drogba to put them out.
  23. ??? Can you elaborate a bit more?
  24. That's a good point Hildy. We don't have 200000 every week like we did at Manchester. But we do sell out our home ground when in the top flight.
  25. Agreed the Bristol City job was one to forget. And since he left they have got even worse. I think he saw the potential they have as Bristol is a decent sized city and had plans with a new stadium and wanted to push on in the Championship.
