Aberdeen have 40000 going to the final on Sunday yet haven't sold out their own 21000 stadium for years and even then it had 4000 Rangers fans in the ground. Now Dundee Utd who haven't sold out a 12000 stadium for years want 20000. I am in agreement that all cup semi's and the final should be at neutral grounds but its the SFA they need to get onto, they are the ones who made the balls up of deciding the stadia months in advance with the assumption that Celtic would get to parade the trophy in front of their own fans and stadium. Even the league cup final this weekend would have almost sold out Ibrox making a good atmosphere (47000 tickets sold) now there is going to be a huge section empty.

Arsenal out. A few on talksport saying Wenger should move on but based on this result its unfair. They got a draw in Bayern and were the better team in the first leg until the missed pen and sending off. If the first leg had went their way they would have went through. He is just stubborn with not signing a striker and has horrendous luck with injuries. Walcott never completes a season, Ramsay was over played, Wilshire hasn't been fit for a full season, Ozil and Ox-Chamberlain both got injured tonight, Diaby is never fit.....had all these players been fit for the season they would still be in the title race for me.

That is a kick in the teeth for fans paying money week in week out.

Those saying Ally should stay don't realise when we get to the top flight we will be no more than an mid table team IMO when we should be higher than that. Going through the bottom 2 tiers should be a gimmie and we have done it ugly. I get last seasons start when we had no squad and no pre-season but we actually declined over the season rather than improved. This season is the same, a few cricket scores papering over the cracks and results since the turn of the year haven't been encouraging going into a full time league in July.

If Arsenal don't win it then id like to see Steve Bruce win it for Hull

Fully agree unless the person is flying at his current club and deserves a go. The other problem is we may opt for a fresh outsider or foreigner like PLG but the methods wont go down well with players. In the past I wanted Kevin Keegan to come in. His attacking football would be entertaining if anything.

While I agree with you it just seems the modern day footballer holds the cards and there isn't always a respect your boss attitude. Look at Van Persie, he was awesome last season for Ferguson and now he is throwing the toys out of the pram because he doesn't like training methods etc. But anyone on 120k a week should adapt to training methods. Hard to say what players at Rangers aren't happy with Ally and his coaching but id say Templeton is one for sure.

One things for sure I hope its not Barry Ferguson next. Hasn't won a game at Blackpool and are in free fall in the league.

Had to change my password again today saying it expired after 180 days.

He'll always be Super Ally and he deserves a statue outside Ibrox but his managerial period is one to forget. These one-off poor results have happened far too regularly to be shocks. If he is in charge next season he really needs to bring in a fresh face into the coaching team with new ideas and tactical knowledge.

Fair play to Wigan. Man City need to step it up to catch Chelsea. Arsenal should be heavy favourites now.
-
If they don't win the cup this season Wenger should go.

Another one who isn't getting the point and jumping to conclusions. Potential new managers IF and WHEN we need a new one.

But history will also say we are on 2 in a row this season with 2 titles. Also how many titles have we won??? Does it get added to our tally.

Whilst I agree its tainted titles mate. They need to do 10 IAR for it to be creditable. Next season is a huge test for Ally.

No sweat mate. The one thing Ally has got going for him for me is in late 2011 when we were 14 clear we were playing cracking football with a 4-3-3 and winning well. Also when he took over the cup games under Walter he always 'went for it'. So He does have it in him. But Ive said it how many times - the thing that could be costing Ally his managerial career is the failure not to appoint an experienced or more knowledgeable no.2

Ally is doing enough to get us through the leagues and that's the first priority. Many have said we'd have liked to see a far better product on the pitch but its not easy - granted but there needs to be improvements for next season when we come up against better opposition week in week out. Id say there isn't much between the teams in the bottom 2 leagues but there is a jump to the Championship. Look I love Ally to bits so I don't want to start an anti Ally (as a manager thread).

We just have to take one game at a time starting with Albion today. If we won this cup it would be the most satisfying cup win in a long long time, probably since the Lovenkrands cup final or the league cup final that year when Hartson missed the pen. TBH id actually rather go out today to Albion than lose in the semi or final to an SPL side.

No not for me, I am not a fan of jobs for mates. I don't fancy having Davies as our manager at all despite him being a Rangers fan. McInnes has showed potential for a few years, his stint at Bristol was poor but probably the wrong club wrong time, he has bounced back well. Ally has had the best results, of course he has but we are a top flight team playing against part timers. Jim Jefferies would probably have won this league with our team.

Yes for sure, a day the fans will deserve. And nice to do it at Ibrox.

It would have been nice to win the league against Dunfermline in the match next Saturday but hey-ho lets grab this chance and wrap the league up and concentrate on the cups.
-
Its a catch22 with Ally for me. For sure we have needed him for keeping Rangers on track and he has been a mammoth person in this journey but on the field its a no-no for me. But until our off field future is settled Ally has to be at Ibrox in some capacity.

Yes agreed, really want to avoid the sheep for a few reasons. Even the thought of them going to Ibrox for a semi against anyone is a wrench. But thinking about it, we've probably more chance beating them at Ibrox in a semi than at Parkhead in a final. I Genuinely feel we can win this cup this season.

I haven't mentioned a change for this summer, I am maybe thinking 2-3 years down the line. The change of manager this summer would be a different debate.

Don't get me wrong id like to see us getting someone like Martin Jol in but we are light years away from those days again at the moment. That's why I said realistic potential managers. I think he's done a good job. The Sheep have struggled since Calderwood. If they were a consistent 3rd when we were there then yes I'd agree but they were always 7th or 8th.
