  1. We need to sign Miller up! 12 goals in 9 games and some terrific performances and finishes. That goal yesterday was a beauty. To hit it on the volley at pace to the exact correct place takes a lot of skill. Provan may have made a good point, Miller is a better finisher when he doesnt have time to think about things.
  2. As per Metlika post in the betting thread, 10-0 to PSV. Thats unreal. It was 2-0 at half time. Pete, did u see any of that??
  3. Samaras for sure should have been sent off, he had a few bookable offences, the knee into McGregors head was clear and Davie Provan said he doesnt know what he is thinking. It is the most unrecognisable Celtic team Ive seen, couldnt name at least 8 of them and their play reflects it. How they have won 8 games shows how poor the rest of the league is. We are miles ahead of them. Imagine Jelavic was playing today, it would have been even more convincing.
  4. The man needs a new 3 year contract.
  5. Easy easy easy. Total different 2nd half. Dont know why WS gave them so much respect in the first place, we are man for man better. The 2nd half was a stroll. Should have been 5-1. Lafferty needed to show a bit more composure. Miller's volley was stunning! Absolute stonewall penalty BTW
  6. YESSSSSSSSS yesss yesssss..... See...have a go at them and they are their for the taking. :robbo:
  7. I think both are comfortable in their own box. When we get forward we dont have enough support. Lafferty in the middle would make a difference. McCulloch has to be careful, he has had a yellow and a warning so perhaps take him off soon.
  8. Disappointing performance, we need to get stuck in a bit more and support Miller. Weiss would be tearing them apart on that wing. What part of 'Lafferty is shit on the left' does WS not get? Whittakers final ball and pass is still awful.
  9. Lafferty and McCulloch in. Weiss and Foster out. 4-5-1 with Lafferty on the left which is disappointing. Would rather have seen him upfront in a 4-4-2 or Weiss on the left. But in WS we trust. Mcgregor Whittaker Bougherra Weir Papac Naismith Davis Edu McCulloch Lafferty Miller Subs: Alexander, Broadfoot, Fleck, Foster, Weiss, Hutton C'mon the Gers
  10. Cant be far off from hearing the line ups. I think WS is going to go 4-5-1 with Broadfoot at RB and Whittaker in midfield but I hope not. Id put Whittaker on the bench and play Broadfoot RB with Weiss in.
  11. 11/1 for 2-0 is more for me. I also like Gers to 'win to nil' which is 4/1. Just need to win and not concede.
  12. Ladbrokes avoiding that bet Ian, maybe they know something! The only mention to a Pen is a Pen to be scored (either end) is 2/1. To be missed 9/1. The 9/1 is well worth a bet, I fancy them to get a pen and McGregor to save it.
  13. Celtic 5/4 Draw 12/5 Rangers 21/10 Correct Score 0-1 Rangers 7/1 0-2 Rangers 11/1 1-2 Rangers 10/1 0-3 Rangers 33/1 1-3 Rangers 28/1 2-3 Rangers 28/1 2-4 Rangers 100/1 Frankies 2-2 is 14/1 First Goalscorer: Miller 11/2 Lafferty 7/1 Beattie 7/1 Naismith 8/1 Weiss 14/1 Davis 16/1 Bougherra 40/1

    Gazza

One thing Gazza is lacking is not knowing how lucky he is. George Best eventually died due to drink, the Great Brian Laudrup who is a gent and hasnt abused any substance in his life gets cancer yet Gazza continues to abuse himself. I love Gazza to bits but I think he is beyond helping himself.
  15. As Pele turns 70 this weekend and Maradona 50 next week there is an article on BBC about who was the best ever. For me it was Maradona. Always difficult to compare players in different era's but Ive never seen anyone as good as Maradona. Zidane would be as close as it gets. Messi does it at club level and is still young enough to do it at the next world cup. Ronaldo (Brazil) was a class act also.
  16. I agree but Everton are due something like 25% of any sell on fee so if he is on a 5 year deal they would get more. I wouldnt say Rooney is overrated yet, but I see him like Owen as a player who peaked early and will start to get injuries and go downhill. He will also lose a yard of pace in the coming years which will automaticall set him back. Fergie should sell him to Madrid then break the bank for Snieder and Torres.

    Gazza

Im losing sympathy for him also. He was on that irish TV channel the other week and looked good and was talking fine but he was obviously full of lies saying he had been dry for so long. 2 weeks later he is done for drink driving and druck possession again. He has a major depression problem and obviously cant be on his own and his body is craving drink and drugs all the time. He cant go to rehab as he just checks himself out so some sort of prison / mental hospital to make him dry out for a while would be a start.
  18. I fully agree with that, and having just Miller isolated upfront takes him out of the play which shouldnt happen when he is playing so well. I dont think there is anything to fear from them at all and if WS sets us out with a 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 and says to play quick and fast then we could rip them apart IMO, they would resort to kicking us off the park. Like you said your confident as you have been for an OF game away in ages....I am also. Man for man we are better all over the park. Even McGregor is capable of being a match winner for us so long as we score. I can see us winning 2-0 going on 5. For some reason due to the 100% records, this game reminds me of a match back in the 90s. Marco Negri had scored against every other SPL club bar Celtic as he hadnt played against them due to the Princess Diana death, so the OF game was rescheduled...come Nov in the rescheduled match (hope you werent charged 12 quid BTW ) and Negri smashed one in from the edge of the box continuing his 100% record of scoring against everyone.....I can see a repeat but it will the Rangers continuing the 100% run.
  19. Not surprised, one of my first thoughts was its a stunt to deflect all the press away from his personal issues and now they are all talking about the football side of things. Even Rio Ferdinand stated its no surprise. He could still have a get out clause and they may have persuaded him to sign so they get a larger fee, but with all the managers coming out in the press saying a move away from Man Utd would almost be downhill may have woke Rooney up.
  20. Mhankys 0-2 Rangers Naismith and Miller.
  21. I can imagine WS will come up with something none of us think of, like Beattie starting or something like that. With everyone fit bar Jelavic it really is a tough one. - Broadfoot has played well in his last outings. - Foster will be on a high. - Whittaker is first choice RB but hasnt been at his best. - McCulloch has been good but is he fit? - Lafferty is finding form. Really tough choice. But i see them being weak at the back and we should have nothing to fear. Id probably opt for this to start out with this 4-4-2 which can revert to 4-5-1: :kb::mb::sp: :sd::me::lm::vw: :sn:
  22. If Jelavic was fit then 4-4-2 is a no brainer. Id still like to see a 4-4-2 but Id like Weiss in there some how so maybe the 4-5-1 is the better option.
  23. Bobby Pires is a free agent and still training with Arsenal. Surely could do a job for us for 6 months.

    5 from 9

I can honestly see us getting 4 points from the remaining 3 games. I fancy us to get a draw in Turkey and think Man Utd could be beaten at Ibrox.

    Ian Crocker

Provan changes for OF games IMO. I hear him every week for the Premier League matches live, and he is a good summeriser with those games but I see a total change during OF games. Burley is either a studio guest or summeriser for the TV here and for me he always gets things spot on. You would have had a fit last week though Bmck before the Everton v liverpool game as he was very controversial and he comes across quite arrogant but again I quite like him.
