Id even settle for Boyd to net the winner

Yip agree with the lads here. Hampden should have been built with further expansion in mind and should be at least be able to hold 65000. If Murrayfield can fill 67500 for the rugby then the football could easily be sold out for the big games. Having 3 govering bodies and 4 divisions is a joke aswell. Decisions and the set up are laughable. The SPL split is a joke aswell where a team finishing 7th can have enough points to qualify for europe but they cant leap the team in 6th!!!

People will be getting put off by Abramovic ways in sacking managers so quickly. Ist like a game to him. Ranieri was sacked Jose was probably told to leave for some bizarre reason Grant Sacked Scolari sacked Read on BBC that Grant is a contender again!! - Bizarre if true. I think Zola will have to be mentioned along with Vialli and Di Matteo

We'll take Hamilton again at home and should put us in another semi. Would be nice if Motherwell or St Mirren knock Celtic out. But id say the final 4 teams are: Rangers Celtic Aberdeen Inverness Get the old sticky balls out and arrange another OF final so we can clinch the treble infront of them

Id rather this runaround kid play in a 4-5-1 than the statue kid who cant play that role. For me if it is 4-5-1 id go with Lafferty as he has had a decent couple of last few outings but still nothing to get carried away with. If we are playing a 4-5-1 then its critical we get the system right with the wide men (preferable Fleck and Aaron). Id move Davis in the centre with Fergie and Mendes in the 4-5-1 so McCulloch doesnt play. But id prefer 4-4-2 and I quite fancy Miller and Lafferty upfront in this game.

Id like to know what some of the big euro teams like Madrid and Milan have. These type of things risk the threat of the bigger clubs breaking away and forming there own Euro league.
-
Not surprised at all. Said this a few times on another thread that I couldnt see him lasting the season. Chelsea just werent right for him. Id expect Hiddink or Rijkaard to be in charge soon.

OF finals are the reason Hampden should at least a 65,000 capacity. 20,000 to each set of fans is short when it could be sold out many times over. The sooner Tynecastle gets up to 26000 the better, then it can host semi finals and have a cracking atmosphere, with Hampden hosting OF semi finals and finals.

Confirmed: Early contendors

Id blame David James for the game on saturday, he should have got to the 2nd and 3rd goal better. He didnt even lift his arms for the 2nd and had plenty time. Too may players there put there heads down once Redknapp left, seemed they were playing for Harry more than for the club. Its make or break time for Pompey, they either bring in a good manager and hurry up and get to the new stadium or they will get relegated and have money problems and end up like Derby and Charlton as struggling Championship sides.
-
Pete, were they any good???
-
Grant just coached in Israel before that plus an assistant job somewhere in England. I dont think he is a bad coach TBH and could be a good shout for them. Curbishley will probably be favourite. Maybe Gullit or Hoddle would be contenders.
-
Read on BBC he will step down on monday. Pompey have a life line then!! Avram Grant to take over??? Curbishley????

Bollocks, but i thought WH did well in stages during the first half and had a go at Man U. Zola is doing fantastic. What can i say about Ryan Giggs, ive praised him on here before but I cant think of a better player to overall grace the Premier league. For me he has been the best. Henry and Shearer come close but Giggs is 35 and is still at the very top.

Wenger furious with the ref for disallowing the goal. I thought it was 50/50. Agree with Jon Palacios was MOTM, he is a tiger - could be what keeps Spurs up. Thats what Arsenal miss. Chelsea are missing it in Essien aswell, then Man U have Carrick, Anderson etc in there, Liverpool have Mascherano and Alonso but Arsenal dont have anyone in there like that. Arsenal have it all to do now for a CL spot, the way they are playing Everton will pass them soon. But you still look at the squad and when the first choice XI are on the pitch then they are easy on par with Man U. Take Fabregas, Walcott, Rosicky and Eduardo away and of course they are going to struggle.
-
Cracking first half but still 0-0 Eboue is a clown getting sent off. But cant believe Wenger brought Bentnar on for Adebyeor who got injured, surely Arshavin would have been the better choice to play in the midfield. The guy Palacios is superb, first time ive really seen him. He is exactly what Arsenal need, someone to break up the opposition play and then give it to the creative players.

Just saw Liverpools 2 late goals, David James should be pulled up for match fixing!! He never even moved his arms for Kuyts goal then the 3rd he pushed into the roof of the net
-
Ah well, Woods still holds the record and il quote this if im ever asked! Still hope West Ham stick a few past him today
-
Just noticed Villa have 6 players in the England squad! That itself shows how well they are doing
-
It is a bit late to call it off when we obviously knew Forfar wasnt likely to a sun spot today. But Im not too bothered, all it means is we dont have to risk players for next week and should go into the OF game with no new injuries and fresh legs
-
Man Utd have only won 1 in the last 9 trips to London. C'mon the Ammers
-
I see Villa with a winning mentality more than Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. If i had to bet just now id go with: Man Utd Villa Chelsea Liverpool Arsenal
-
Im not sure, I dont think Zola could knock Chelsea back but he is a gentleman so he might want to continue what he has started at WH. Have to say i wanted rid of him after 8 games thinking we couldnt afford to let him learn his trade but he has turned it round superbly.
-
Thats the game that put Arsenal out the title race IMO. Revenge today though.
-
If they won last week against Wigan then id be considering them, but if West Ham get something today if keeps them close. Man U will drop a few points and Villa just have to keep on winning. Have to say id like to see it. As long as Liverpool dont win it i dont care though
