Well Liverpool remain top for Christmas after Chelsea drew again. Unbelievably Arsenal are still in the title hunt again aswell but have a lot of work to do! Man Utd could have asked for a better weekend, thats 2 in a row where only Villa from the top 5 pick up points (despite Man U not playing). If 1 of these teams can win 3 in a row they could see themselves open up a gap. If i was a betting man id be backing Man Utd for 3 in a row!

BOTH should do U-turns and do what is best for Scotland!! Not so sure if Scotland are better with a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1 but if its 4-4-2 then Boy and Miller have to be given a chance to do what they are doing for Rangers. At the time of this Boyd was playing poor but id still have brought him on ahead of Fletcher and that Chris Oompaloopa boy. It wasnt the right game to give both them a debut. If Boyd comes back it will earn him a lot of respect.

Good read Cammy, Now Balde is 1 player ive always thought as an animal but id take him over lee Wilkie any day of the week. Personally I cant see him signing for us for many a reason and this includes his 30k a week wage which we couldnt offer half that. If we were offered 5 million for Thomson it would be hard to turn down and i dont think it would be disasterous. I wouldnt take anything less for him though. The next game Villa v Arsenal will say a lot in the bid for top 4. If Villa can win that they would be odds on. I still wouldnt rule Villa out of finishing top 3, they are winning most of there others games and the others are all dropping points. If they get 1 or 2 more good signings in January then who knows!

I dont think he deserves his first booking while there was others persistant fouling yet this was his first offence. Howard Webb is the top ref in the country, ive thought that for ages but he is following previous 'best refs' by going down hill once they reach the top. Clattenburg was top for a while but he turned absolutely terrible and now is banned. Webb has had 2 stinkers the last times ive saw him now.

Surely playing our current staff - Hemdani - would be a better option than Wilkie?? Hemdani is being paid so why not try him there. If he gets a game then at least he is in the shop window. I still think Hemdani could be ok at CH, he can read the game superbly. Id just be a bit worried if he was next to Weir with both not being the quickest turtles in the park! Id also rather move to a 3-5-2 than buy Wilkie. We normally play 4 centre halfs at the back anyway - Broadfoot, Bougherra, Weir, Papac - surely moving 1 of them in is a better option again!

MON was asked this at the weekend and he avoided the question. Then Andy Gray was asked yesterday on talksport and said its not impossible. But the way Villa are playing and with the attacking options they have are they serious contenders? The others are dropping more points than normal with Chelsea's home form being poor. They normall get between 86-96 points but almost at the half way stage none of them are at 40 yet, so the title could be won with maybe 80 points this season. If Villa keep winning against the other teams which they are doing and just look after themselves then there is no reason why they cant be considered! Keeping players fit is important as they have a smallish squad.
