Once again, cant believe I never backed the draw! Thats a good double I could have had this week.
-
Tony Adams / William Gallas - Chalk and Cheese. IMO thats what Arsenal are missing - a good solid English defender.
-
They still have the likes of Deco and Iniesta who are every bit as good as Hargreaves and Anderson. If Eto, Henry and Messi all play then they actually have a great chance.
-
Game 2 tonight and is another mouthwatering clash if Barca click and start to play well. Henry has scored some peaches against Man Utd in his time, I wonder if we'll see another tonight. Again, I fancy a draw here.

Im delighted Chelsea got that goal. Now Liverpool know how Arsenal felt - robbed! It was nice to see Anfield silenced in the last minute rather than going wild. Liverpool are a different team in the CL altogether, if they played like that every week then they would be challenging for the title. I cant work out why Essien was left out, he is Chelsea best player just now and Id have had Anelka on much earlier. Im gutted I never backed the draw, Beattie what was the odds - 11/5 ish? 2nd leg will be interesting.
-
Id prefer to see Man utd v Chelsea. Man Utd are far better than Liverpool, that was proved in the league. Chelsea are as good as them on there day. However, the cup final between Man Utd and Chelsea last year was totally boring.
-
Im going for Chelsea over 2 legs and I will actuall be wanting them to win. Liverpool bug the shit out of me. I even hope Lampard gets the winning goal for his mother who is poorly with pneumonia at the moment.

I agree Juff, and I can actually see Villa getting even better next season. Just watched football focus here and the pundits were giving McLeish pelters for his after match comments like 'we we're never expecting to get anything at Villa anyway' - I just thought to myself its new to them, we have lived through it before
-
Disaster for our most improved player. He deserves to be part of any success we go on and get. I havent seen anything of Alexander except his 15 mins against Celtic, but as Juff says - thank god its not Carroll.
-
TBH it had to be extended if we get to the final.
-
Villa have scored 15 goals in 3 games. They are now the 2nd top scores in the league after Man U

We are down to the bare bones. I agree with SA there maybe a chance Novo starts on the left. Is there a chance in Furman or Faye even coming into the thoughts to pack up the midfield?? For me its the same as SA: ___________________Alexander____________________ Whittaker_____Weir__________Carlos__________Papac ____________Hemdani_______Dailly________________ _____Davis___________Buffel____________Novo_____ ____________________Cousin_____________________

This game coming up kind of reminds me a bit from 9IAR when our squad was dropping like flies and we brought Andy Dibble and Mark Hateley (back) for the game. Yet we managed to get the win. Same again this Sunday please!!

Are you saying none of us talk sense on here??

Yip have to say Im still excited. Last night I was checking the internet on my mobile phone every 2 mins for the score and thats only against St Johnstone! The Fiorentina and Celtic games cant come quick enough for me but I have to say the last few days Ive been concerned about the injuries and suspensions. It would be a shame if we missed out on things due to that after doing so well for so long. Last week I wanted the UEFA as much, if not more, than the SPL but after losing at Celtic and them going top (despite 3 games in hand) I want the SPL more now. I think its the reality of seeing them back in the race that has swang me. Sundays game is going to be huge, its a MUST we dont lose it. A draw is a decent result but means we need to win games in hand to go back on top. A win at Parkhead would be unbelievable.
-
Looking forward to this game. I actually think its Chelsea's turn to put Liverpool out. I dont know how much the 1st leg being at Anfield comes into it. Im going to go for a draw on the night with Chelsea winning the 2nd leg.

At least you can see the game. If its on BBC then I cant get it at all, not even on radio that goes for Scotland games aswell.

Do the Scottish Press/Media want Rangers to Fail ?
Gribz replied to DJBlue72's topic in Rangers Chat
McGeady winning the POTY awards is due to the vote being done half way through the season. Of course the media want us to fail. Its Scottish mentality to not want your own clubs to do well. Our own governing bodies cant even help us out with this joke of a fixture list. The St Johnston game could easy have been played on Saturday to allow us an extra day preparation to Fiorentina. I say Scottish mentality because I dont think it really comes into it down south. For eg if Blackburn were in a UEFA cup final then id expect the rest of the country to get behind them. But there would be no better feeling to ram it up them with a treble / quadriple. The only thing thats concerning me at the moment is the injury and suspension list creeping up. -
Oops, i thought it was CL winners.
-
FFS, what do you want - Maradona for 90 mins?? The guy hasnt kicked a ball in how long?? Yet if Boyd was playing and did his usual flapping with that pace of his you'd be happy, and nothing was mentioned about Partick being a lower league team last week

So we've crawled into the Scottish Cup final, we can put that on the back burner until the near end of May and concentrate on the big 2 - the SPL and the UEFA cup. Everything was going so well but all of a sudden we have players dropping like flies and a few suspensions to deal with. Naismith and Burke are the latest 2 to join McCulloch and McGregor on the sidelines. And we have Ferguson, Thomson and Cuellar with pending suspensions. The squad is really going to be tested especially the centre and left side of midfield. On the right Novo and Davis can still fill in and we still have Darcheville, Cousin and Boyd upfront plus Buffel who made a rare appearance yesterday. The match yesterday should have been played on Saturday to allow us an extra day to prepare for Fiorentina. Less than 72 hours after that game we go over to Parkhead again for the last Old Firm Derby of the season. Even with 3 games in hand, getting something in this game is needed to reduce any growing pressure of having to win our all 3 games in hand. Walter must be scratching his head about the change in fortunes in injuries which have been quite kind all season. At least for the Celtic game Ferguson will have had the best part of 10 days off and should be re-charged a bit. But Im a little worried about personel for Fiorentina. At least both Cuellar and Weir are available for this one meaning Dailly can sit in midfield again - probably next to Davis and Hemdani. Time to really dig deep!!!

Gav cant be far off. Id take Capucho and Prso out. Cant recall Dado being in a final, and Capucho didnt deserve to be in one. Berg is another non one, unless he played for Man U in 1999 - il check that one.
