  1. See, that is my image of our resident doomsinger switching from ... ... to
  2. And here was me thinking that forlanssister was actually a lassie
  3. Him making an appearance at Ibrox in our last home game will IMHO give the fans a great boost for the long summer ahead.
  4. Naismith and Aluko, along with Lafferty, Little, Davis and Kerkar ... Rhys McCabe, and Ness. Well, this might be a sight to behold.
  5. But for that money a membership scheme would be far more reasonable? I mean, even if someone buys 1,000 shares, he'd still owe next to nothing compared to the majority shareholders and hence his say in the club would be minimal, no matter what e.g.TBK promise right now. On the other hand, "members" (I explained what could be done in this respect before with regards to return for value) would have a representative directly on the board and pending the member's input, a voice with some value up there too. That, IMHO, would be the way ahead, not least with regards to income streams beyond season ticket money. It has, BTW, a grand tradition beyond the British isles.
  6. Unless I am mistaken, right now, Ellis' shares are worth 24,9% of 1 pound.
  7. As has been said, we know next to nothing about the value of each bid (from various angles) and I am hesitiant to give my vote to any of them. (Not that my vote would be of any relevance.) Was there actually any substance to the claim that TBK's share issue would start at pound 1,000 for the cheapest share? Which would seriously scare off the fanbase, IMHO.
  8. I'm not sure whom to "trust" here, but voting for TBK because they talk openly about much (though not everything) won't work. Chairmen and owners have and will always keep to themselves and right now, with no disrespect whatsoever, any talk of them to me is as "hollow" as is any politician's talk ahead of an election.
  9. IMHO, while the admins and the bidders chose their words carefully, the press and media tries to get us to the edge far more than necessary. A decent enough CVA will suit most people best, you would hope that either foreign bidder sees the benefit of doing a deal with Ticketus too.
  10. One just hopes that anyone having a look at the liquidation-route does not just look at money, but also implication on and off the actual field of play, Europe et al. YOu do not need to spend 20odd million on a club that will be on sure footing for a number of years, but will get you no return whatsoever (if you look for that) for half a decade or so, no return in terms of silverware AND money.
  11. The benefit to them is? ... again, just asking, since I have no clue whatsoever.
  12. Just out of interest ... what tradition has football in Singapore, what tradition have Rangers in Singapore and how can the ownership of Rangers bear any fruits down there? I mean, what sort of "market" could be opened down there that would benefit Rangers, Singapore football, and, obviously, Mr. Ng?
  13. From e.g. the Scotsman Looks "somewhat" different from what we have heard before. Also on Football365
  14. The BK should take this Millar guy on board ... give him a few years to learn his trade with us and then he can go and buy himself a club on his own in the Championship ;-)
  15. I snatched these comments from FF a wee while ago ... The Old Lady Of Edmiston Drive On Christmas Day lunchtime I was in a car heading to the Fiorentina Italian restaurant and we passed along Paisley Road West. We stopped at the lights at Broomloan Road and as I wasn't driving I had a chance to take a long look at Ibrox. It truly is the best looking stadium in the world and nothing can surpass the history she has seen. Looking at the flats around it you realise they will be gone long before the old lady. Also had another thought that she will be there long after I am gone and hopefully my great great grandkids will be going to see The Rangers in Ibrox. + Other inferior places get romantic and underserved names like Paradise or the Theatre of Dreams. Ibrox genuinely has class, something other clubs can only be envious of. + I always try to take a detour past the main stand anytime im in the area even sometimes when its a good bit off my route. Its got to be one of the finest looking mainstands in the world. I feel honoured to pass through those turnstyles to see the Rangers. + Nothing speaks more about the people who made Rangers than Ibrox. The fact you can see her from PRW now after the flats were knocked down makes it all the more impressive. I've been to most big UK grounds and nothing compares to Ibrox. The only ground that had a similar aura was the old Arsenal ground. I've heard Man U fans say similar things about Old Trafford but to me it doesn't come close. As a club we need to start building a team that honours our home. She truly is a beautiful old lady. That's her
  16. Still assume he did all this on behalf of someone else and not least to get us out of the HMRC trouble.
  17. These are just figures laid bare to the open, as the administrators have to do. The figures need to be seen in context and have to be structured according to a timetable. The biggest part remains the HMRC money, BUT neither the press nor the admins nor we know how much we do and how much way may owe them, as the largest bit in here is the unresolved "big case". How credible is a source that goes for the meanest possibility, yet fails to name the best? And while I am at it, does anyone really want to see the current detailed stats for Manchester City or indeed, Manchester United? I reckon their fans would pay to travel to Erskine Bridge for a jump if those figures were revealed and splashed all over the papers.
  18. You do wonder whether any other remaining bidder will actually do a "Murray" and try to take Ticketus out of the CVA equation too.
  19. ... some call it Paradise, you know?!
  20. On a sidenote ... I think the Rapid Vienna boss said some time ago that we paid for Jelavic in full? How come that there's 1m still owed? Does Everton owe us money for Jelavic? While we are at it, the money still owed to other teams for transfers ... ain't that just because the deals were structured like this? That is, to be paid in instalments? The money to Dunfermline and Dundee United has been paid by now, hasn't it?
  21. BlueMazza ... at least you are a good looking "Hun" and will I want to see any pictures of them? On a sidenote ... Straight from "THE ROMAN RECORD": HUN (Habitat: Eurasian plains ) - Smallest of all barbarians. Feared foes of Goths and Vandals, ferocious warrior nomads and frighteningly efficient archers. Other barbarians running away from this bunch are spilling into OUR TERRITORY and causing no end of problems. Has prominent and sinister ritual scarring on face, and always fights from horseback. Voted all time winners of annual Gut-wrenchingly-terrifying-foe-we-least-like-to-fight-against competition in Roman Soldier Monthly. Dour in appearance. Lives on a diet of baked babies and tree bark gnawed straight from branch. Also reported to wear shrunken heads as small earrings, and smell worse than a beached whale. If encountered, remain very still and hope they don't spot you. If contact unavoidable, do not attempt to engage conversation regarding relative merits of Greek poetry or Roman poetry. Approach with extreme caution carrying long spear, and toss over some raw meat on end of stick." Next time they send their kids about for Halloween, put this up on your desk!
  22. Some posters on FF say that the admins will release some Financial Statement on the club's HP later on. Strap yourself in for some smashing headlines from the press and mhedia!
