  1. If either Boogie or Goodwillie move to the Championhsip, one would sure have to ask them about their ambitions. (Money-making aside, that is.) Then again, Boogie has won all that there is to win while at Ibrox ...
  2. I get excited if the press people or board'ers tell us that he or someone else is at Murray Park / Ibrox. Or we do indeed get some quotes from our people. Thus far, it is all nice to talk about fees and how much we want him (or someone else), but it takes much more than that.
  3. Well, I would assume that is what he did when he "only" suspended them for the time being. The "financial stuff" is only a rumour uttered by "a press source at Ibrox", so who's to say that ain't all garbage. In any case, as I have said elsewhere, this isn't the way we should be dealing with such topics. Take these people aside, tell them that their time is up and why (if that is the case), and ask them for the sake of the club to keep a lid on things.
  4. From BBC Scottish gossip. Depends on any fees Arsenal may want ...
  5. If they had some brains, they should rather play nice-nice with Whyte than bringing up more rubbish like that. Else, it could well be that only a new generation of commentators of these respective newspapers, radio and tv stations will gain entry into Ibrox, as the old brigade is being banned because of the lies and slander published over years.
  6. Well, that Celtic-Fan-run Scotzine has a few more words to say about Bain, but after having had a few chats with the main writer, I would not take all of his writings on face value.
  7. I would assume that any of the mentioned EPL teams can offer him higher wages than we do (and you have to keep in mind that his agent does the talking, and these may not have football brains driving them). The good thing is that neither of these teams can hope to offer him more silverware/prestige/fame than the odd Carling or the FA Cup for years ahead. Not so with us, Fortune permitting.
  8. It looks to be in full motion, despite Bain being in the US of A with McCoist & Co. ... Rangers Academy News confirmed the signing of the Norwegian twins Tom and Kim Skogsrud, but also confirms the release of a number of youngsters: I liked the look of Archie Campbell and am actually surprised that we let him go for nothing.
  9. According to FF Radio Clyde reported that we are in talks with Eremenko and his agent(s). Let's wait on that one for another 12 to 24 hours, right? As I asked over there, you wonder who of Rangers is actually talking to Tomer Hemed and Eremenko while Bain is suspended?
  10. Well, these are just rumours. I'd only start to worry (or getting excited) when people are flown into Ibrox or Murray Park for talks.
  11. Cardiff's Jay Boothroyd, Brum's Seb Larsson ... both on a free. Add David Vaughan to the list, though he might not be on a free and now that they are down, Blackpool may want hard cash. Wouldn't it be a steal if we can finally lay "hands on" Niklas Bendtner of Arsenal? He's just declared his interest in leaving the Gunners due to lack of playing time.
  12. Sometimes, Wikipedia does help answer quick questions. I would think that we do not look at him, since he's just signed for Wednesday and English clubs will demand hard cash.
  13. That one costs Euro 500k according to Transfermarkt, is aged 24 and has scored 12 goals in 31 games this season. Oh, and he actually called Tomer Hemed. Comes from the same side as the Celtic Kayal ...
  14. This Hibs Board link makes a wonderful read. I wouldn't be surprised if it looks like that on all other fan-boards too.
  15. Dunno, but I recently read on the Rangers website that McCoist looks for 6 players in addition to keeping some old hands. Would have to dig that up though.
  16. There is no need for him to come back just now, he just can refuse to sign a new deal with them cometh the time. Then again, ManC pays a Adebayor 180k per week and if they offer Weiss a new deal, he would be mad to resist it at his age.
  17. Hey, you can suggest people to your heart's content! On a sidenote, the official website reports about an article in the Rangers News that Ally wants to re-deal Weir, Healy and Little in too. Squad-players no doubt and not on high wages either. I doubt that we will want Beattie back, but he's 12 months to run anyways. ET says that his agent is in talks about him coming up on a new deal too, I wonder what sort of money Blackburn and he looks for. I wouldn't mind Foster as squad back-up either.
  18. Lots of it will depend on e.g.: - is this interest for real - does he cost any significant money - would he want to come here, exchanging EPL wages for SPL wages and European footie & silverware I for one wouldn't mind Puncheon and Conway, as we do need depths in squad for the years ahead. A squad capable of winning the SPL marathon and some European games.
  19. BTW, Bursaspor ... is going no-where. Miller will earn quite some cash there, but has won absolutely nothing this season. Methinks the best they can hope for is a place in the CL-qualifiers or the Europa League. McGregor would be mad ...
  20. This was also on German teletext. They were quick to tell the audience that BBC news of our 29m debt and possibility of going out of business. Just one of them mentioned the denial by AJ - a week later! They were quick to let the audience know that Celtic had closed the gap to a single point during these last few weeks, never mentioned our wins at all. So far, according to them, we haven't had a take-over. But there was a bomb outside Celtic Park! Paranoia? No, but you could not help but feel sorry for them. Maybe some of them are St. Pauli - supporters. Ahem ... disgruntled St. Pauli- supporters!
  21. No doubt about that. As I said, I have no clue how he changed during this last dozen years. Some people need only weeks, days, or hours to change dramatically.
  22. The sad thing is that when 5Live was still aired over here in Germany or available via satellite, I actually liked his broadcasts. But that was ... 12 years ago.
  23. Plans? Well, I planned to stay at home and celebrate the last game of the season being champions already, as I fancied Hearts to take some points of Timothy. That was not to be. I also planned to listen to the game on the radio via Rangers World and watching it simultanuously on my second PC via the net . But ... my local basketball team managed to lose the fourth game of the best-of-five series (after leading 2-0) by a single point on Tuesday (after leading throughout the game), hence a decider is needed on ... Sunday! So I'm actually able to listen/watch the first half of our game against Killie ere going to work. A text-message service amongst the German Rangers boarders' has been established ... but ....
  24. I actually wonder why he allows comments on his articles, BTW. Great stuff by Rangers.
  25. Have to be picky here, these are the Austrians, not the "Gerries". It should be noted that the rumour started in Austria, gathered pace in Croatia ere it made its way to Scotland. The Croats actually did not write much about any deal, but said that ManU constantly circles about their national squad, Jela had a good season ... and "there usually ain't smoke without some fire". I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Jela has no knowledge about these quotes attributed to him. Obviously, players talking about contacts to grand sides like ManU always look suspicious ... and I wonder whether ManU will look kind to somesuch, as a bidding war could start much earlier than they want. BTW, just to get the paranoia levels up a bit, he was not seen at training yesterday - for whatever reason.
