  1. With all due respect, is that a joke?
  2. Done. 32% and counting. Anyway, sectarianism aside, there's no contest. Goal of the season. FACTUM.
  3. I totally agree here. It may be that we will find some friends along the way to an appeal. UEFA are an extraordinarilly arrogant organisation, and should be brought to heel a wee bit. Too much of the tail wagging the dog for my liking. Their laws, regulations and procedures should be more compliant with what exists for other businesses throughout Europe. Can you imagine a regulatory body turning round to - say Lloyds - and saying "Somebody told us that you've infringed our equality regulations, so you're now not allowed to open on Tuesdays?" No? well, neither can I. UEFA should start living in the real world. At the end of the day, our money keeps them in a job.
  4. I seem to remember AJ saying that CW had admitted to not knowing the first thing about running a club. It'll be interesting to see if the Board remains the same and if not, who is brought in. Also interesting to see how the match-day experience improves and how he approaches improving the quality of everything that the Rangers do and sell, like merchandise, food the general tattiness of the stadium etc. There's also room to improve the operation at Murray Park as a revenue stream - we've really started bringing players through now, but it could be better still. And yes - I agree - a better and more savvy media/PR operation would help too.
  5. We were great. Media won't moan - as Frankie says. Celtic won't moan either. The result suits them. If they win the league, this whole thing will die down - apart from the fact that we wil pick up the wreckage from the UEFA determination. And if Celtic do win the league, Scottish football will have the benefit of Celtic flying the flag - so to speak.
  6. It'll be tight. 2-1 Jelavic and a Davie Weir heider in injury time - from a Diouf corner.
  7. Spot on Tumshie - the gloves are off. However, this needs a co-ordinated response, but not a guddle of poorly worded contradicting responses. That's where the other side have shone. All their campaigns have been coordinated and similar language has been used putting forward consistent points. Really time to defend our side.. Will you stand?
  8. What is irritating is every Tom, Dick and Harry climbing on board and highlighting their own agenda and blaming Rangers v Celtic games for their woes. Take domestic abuse for example. I don't know one Bear/Bearette who beats up their partner. Now you can't argue with statistics, and everyone says there is a spike in domestic abuse after Rangers/Celtic games. So why is it caused by Rangers or Celtic? it not caused by heavy drinking? What are the root causes? Was the tendency there already? Of course it's simplistic to blame Old Firm games. But, like the Celtic PR campaign, the more ya sez it, the more they believes it. What is happening is every organisation from "Save the Whale" to "Surfers against Sewage" scrambles to get their agenda covered in the media frenzy surrounding Rangers Celtic games. And the police are no better - a lot of their press releases are little else than thinly disguised pressure for more funding. I was thinking last night that maybe it's time for a parting of the ways for Rangers and Celtic. Let's just play in different leagues. Surely that would make the media happy, the police happy and all these pressure groups happy? Just think - it happens and Bingo - no more domestic abuse, no more sectarian violence - all gone. And the papers can write about nice things. Aye right! Be careful what you wish for ........
  9. Well, when your manager's received a parcel bomb, you have a vigil and sing "I Just Can't Get Enough."
  10. Apparently the singing had a religious tone too - Quote from KDS - 7 minutes ago: Boy i know from work went along tonight, said it was a cracking turnout but was ruined by too many steamers singing a load of nonsense. JCGE,let's all do the huddle and shove your royal wedding up your erse are hardly appropriate songs for tonight are they?
  11. Aye - but do you notice that the stadium outside lights are on - they either woke up the security guard or someboby at the club invited/was expecting them!
  12. Och - they're just waiting on the soup kitchen .......
  13. Correct. Just a matter of moving the goalposts back again. But, like the Celtic/Reid PR machine, you need to hammer away at this constantly - not blatantly - but subliminally. You know you're on to a winner when the media and Joe Public start using the term too. BTW - do we actually have a PR department? If so, they want to be shot for allowing Coisty to say what he did yesterday. He was almost apologetic - as if any of this is the fault of the Rangers - which it most certainly isn't!
  14. Agreed - but let's face it, there's a few things that need ditched - and they're invariably add-ons. There's too many have been thrown in for the sake of it - they're not particularly funny, they're not particularly smart, and they're not particularly cutting. They're just dumbed-down efforts to be offensive which sound more dumb than offensive in my book. We've got them in old traditional songs, old Rangers songs and new modern day songs. I've stood next to guys who sang nothing else but the add-ons - the rest was la-de-da! And make no mistake - I'm not a hand-wringer - but we WILL need to stop, or we will be brought to our knees and then some. This juggernaut is not going to stop, and the "but the others are worse" excuse will not help us.
  15. Whoops! I thought it was Grandmaster Suck.
  16. Can't run with the hares and hunt with the hounds .... Think they should be reported.
  17. Now I think GS is the very person too. Given that newspapers have a commercial interest in propagating these kind of stories, FARE's idea of a neutral seems to have disappeared down the Clyde if the rumours are true. If they are true GS is finished as a journalist - and we have compelling reasons for the case against us to be dropped.
  18. What needs done now is that we refuse any away tickets for a set period until this dies down. Make no mistake, if we win on Sunday there will be calls to have points docked. Sheer stupidity really - does it need spelled out?
  19. Yeah - got into something else too. God the Beeb commentators were seriously getting worked up to a orgasm with their wonderful-glorious-football-manrubbing-talk. Cannae wait for Sunday ....................
  20. The summit was a foregone conclusion. It was a perfect storm. Depending on the outcome of the election, there may yet be a more perfect storm. What's happened before matters not one iota. The present media juggernaut has a new agenda. I despair.
  21. Welcome, I've been here for most of this week. Looking forward to my 20 post medallion with some meaningful Gaelic inscription ...........
  22. I blame the papers and the media. About time they were pulled to task about their responsibilities in this whole debate. Whoever is responsible, it is not "Rangers fans." Until the culprit/s is/are found, all speculation or innuendo borders on the defamatory and certainly is inflammatory. These editors/newspaper owners (and the BBC) should be central to any summit on sectarianism. They're as guilty as anyone of fanning the flames.
  23. Well said that man. If CW walks, he wasn't for us. But I note in recent quotes that he had a financial backer. Who is that, I wonder. I'm also astounded that a Director now sees this as the time for more capital. Why not before KM left, before this season, the one before or the one before that? And why can't we have an EGM?
  24. Just mention penguins and bondage!
