  1. Hibs chairman, Kenny Waugh, sacked Neely knowing full well he was child molester, but didn't tell anyone for fear of reputaional damage to his club: Former Hibs chairman ‘sacked coach at centre of sex abuse scandal but didn’t tell police’, source claims As a result, Rangers employed Neely without any way of knowing what a danger he was. Fortunately, it seems he was rumbled before he did any real damage - one of the Rangers youth players, whose dad was a cop, reported him after a dodgy conversation, and Neely was subsequently fired. Much more should have been made of that Sunday Post article. If it comes to light that Neely did abuse anyone following Hibs' cover-up, they deserve to be fucking crucified.
  2. You ought to get a warning if you don't call Sutton a fool. (At the very least).
  3. Does anyone know - will we be able to buy tickets for group stage matches via Rangers TV (like last night) or will they just be on SKY/BT?
  4. On the face of it, I'm happy with that group. Some exciting challenges; but still seems definitely winnable. Beforehand, what I was hoping for: Pots 1 and 2: Two recognisable European names with a decent pedigree, (whilst avoiding money-bags, superteams from the big 5 leagues). The potential for prestige scalps. Pot 4: Ideally a whipping boy. Overall: No long-haul trips (i.e. aviod Israel, Ukraine, Azerbaijan etc.) For me all boxes ticked except you can't really look on Poznan as push-overs. The Polish club coefficient has been in free-fall these last few years, but I still expect they'll be a decent side.
  5. I'd take anyone from Pot 1 as the glamour tie. Pot 2: I'd want to avoid Qarabağ for travel reasons, and Leicester would be tough for a second tier team. Pot 4: Obviously Dundalk would be the pick on grounds of being not too taxing logisticaly or competitively.
  6. Rangers 2 - 1 Galatasaray MAÇ ÖZETİ VE GOLLERİ (Avrupa Ligi Play-Off Maçı) A good 10 minutes of highlights with different camera angles
  7. It's a tenner if you're a sesaon ticket holder - I still have to work out how to purchase it with the discount, but that's the advertised deal. In fact - I just checked my mail, and I've got a message with a link.
  8. I think they're exempt on account of them being classed as elite sporting events: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53295779
  9. I'm not sure the figures support that this season. They certainly took their foot off the gas against Dundee Utd and Killie, and we've won by 3 goals at home a couple of times ourselves. This season their goal difference per game isn't significantly better than ours. (In fact, if they hadn't scored that last minute goal today it would be worse.)
  10. Just in case it needs to be underlined how big a fuck up this is by them (and I don't really think it does)... Scotland are the highest ranked country to no longer have representation in the 20/21 Champions League (and the only country in the top 21 to be out). Hungary are the lowest ranked country still to have a team in CL qualifying. https://www.football-coefficient.eu/
  11. To be fair, Morelos isn't playing and he had to book someone.
  12. Barasic - not only was it a tremendously taken free kick, it sparked the rest of the team into life.
  13. I've never been a massive fan of Tyldesley, but he does give the coverage a proper "Telly" feel.
  14. It's that feeling, like when you've just got over a bout of constipation.
  15. Right enough! Okay then, Hearts and Dundee stay down, Dundee Utd and Hibs relegated. That's my compromise offer - do you accept?
  16. No way! I want Dundee Utd to get re-relegated!
  17. Mine's sitting ready to go. A graphic saying kick-off 18:00.
  18. I can't agree with that. It requires a particularly bloody-minded way of thinking to continue to take offence at a gesture, even after ithe person making that gesture has made it explicitly clear that he didn't mean it in the way that offends you. Goldson has supplied context - he's explained that he wasn't attempting to make a political statement at all. This isn't a case of interpreting what his gesture meant, so much as it is one of people willfully misinterpreting it. It's a mode of thought I'd more readily associate with the "woke" brigade; analogous to: "Even though you didn't intend your statement to sound racist, I've contrived to get upset by it, therefore you're a racist." Goldson has explained what he meant, and it's not in any way controversial. You're upset by something else that you've decided that he meant, and that he says he didn't mean. I don't expect everyone to stand and cheer him, but there really is no reason for him to be getting a hard time.
