  1. It's only makes up £10k of the fine, but it makes absolutely no sense and shows what a shambolic process the SFA have ran. It'd be like being up in court for handling stolen goods, and the court ruling that they couldn't prove that the goods were stolen, but finding you guilty of handling goods anyway. It wouldn't happen and makes no sense whatsoever.
  2. But then the supporters have paid Dunfermline, Dundee Utd are being paid, etc. Gretna were forwarded money to pay their creditors rather than fined, so why single Rangers out?
  3. Cheers Frankie, another question then: If Rangers were found 'not proven' that we'd complied with rule 1, how can we have been found guilty of rule 2 which is ensuring our 'officials, Team Staff and players act in accordance with Rule 1'. So they say they can't prove that rule 1's been broken, but have fined the club £10k for our staff not complying with the same rule??? We've also been fined £50k for breaking rule 14 which states Full membership or associate membership may be suspended or terminated, or a fine may be issued, where a full member or an associate member suffers or is subject to an insolvency event. Has any other club who's entered administration been fined on top of the automatic points deduction? I certainly can't recall this happening. Also, why has this formed part of their investigation into Whyte? As you say, with regards rule 66 I can't see how Rangers as a club have brought the game into disrepute. Whyte there's an argument for, but Rangers as a club have done completely the opposite by continuing in the competitions and paying rival clubs debts while in administration. Given Hearts haven't been fined for non-payment of players, and Lennon has got away with accusing officials of cheating, this one's a complete farce. A £100k fine and 12 month transfer ban for bringing the game into disrepute??? Absolute nonsense.
  4. Serious question as I can't get my head around it. Even Whyte's ban, I think we all know he's not fit or proper, but what's he actually done to break the SFA rule book and be fined £200k? I know he's avoided paying taxes, but given the club are currently in negotiations to repay this then it's not strictly against SFA rules from what I understand. So Whyte's fine is debatable and I can't comprehend what the club has done? As I said, it's a serious question, what is the fine and punishment handed out to Rangers actually for, and how does this contravene SFA rules?
  5. Absolutely, but there will still be fans who need to be brought into line. We'd need all the supporters groups on board and the club, so would take a lot of organising.
  6. How do we do it? Following tonight's farce, we need to hit everyone where it hurts, and the way to do that is to make sure no Rangers fan attends any away match next season or any game at Hampden. How can we ensure this happens?
  7. How so? If Miller creates a newco, which he is planning to do, how does that newco have any comeback to the owner of an old, non existent, business? The other thing I don't understand is that D&P are charged with acting in the best interests of all creditors. If Bill Miller is putting up £11.25m, but that has to be split between Ticketus and HMRC, how can that possibly be better than TBK putting up even half that to HMRC with Ticketus out of the pot?
  8. The thing that gets me is D&P again claiming there's no suitable bids. If it's something to do with Whyte, then surely they could come up with another form of words!! The way they've worded it causes people to worry and to jump to conclusions regarding the viability of TBK, which in turn leads to accusations by TBK supporters that D&P are at it. It goes from one mess to another.
  9. I know I have relatively few posts and showing a brass neck, but any chance of a pm on what the issue is? It'll go no further!! Understand completely if answer no.
  10. This is what Kennedy has said all along, he was standing aside but would step back in if no deal could be struck. It's hardly an exclusive.
  11. Who does the £500k exclusivity fee go to? Does it go to the club, D&P, or is it given back if you take over?
  12. Why has it taken so long for Lennon's hearings to take place? I can understand - to an extent - that his Twitter outburst after the League Cup Final could get delayed, but at Ibrox he got a red card. After Stuart McCall got a red card he was immediately offered a 1 match ban, rejected it, and the appeal was heard before his next game. Why didn't the same process take place for Lennon's red card at Ibrox? As above, I understand the delay for his League Cup Final Twitter outburst, and also in investigating the other issues which he's being investigated for at Ibrox, and even his outbursts yesterday. But his red card at Ibrox, and yesterday if he was sent off, should have been dealt with immediately. Also, if he's found guilty on all fronts - League Cup Final, Ibrox Red Card, Ibrox outburst, Scottish Cup Semi Red Card, Scottish Cup Semi Outburst - then that's potentially 5 instances on top of his previous. Does anyone know how big a ban that would incur?
  13. Thanks Frankie, do you know what information the bidders have been given on this. Given it's a tribunal, and judges who make the decision, i'm not sure an appeal is automatic as if the decision is fairly clear on a point of law then there may not be any grounds. For example, if the best case scenario arises, and the decision is EBT's were legal at the time and no evidence has been presented which suggests we broke the rules, then what would the appeal be based on? As a pure guess, I reckon it'll only affect the rate at which HMRC are likely to settle on a CVA.
  14. Is the big tax case verdict due this week? I'm sure I've read that it had to be given within 90 days of the hearing, which would be this week. If it is, and say we owe nothing, what would happen if other bidders emerged from the woodwork, or if Whyte decided he could manage it himself? Alternatively, if it went against us big time, is that going to give D&P another reason to delay the process?
  15. I'm all for an away boycott, but I do have sympathy for the bus drivers who'll possibly lose their job and bus companies who rely on our custom.
  16. Don't know if Frankie can add any more to this: 1h Alasdair Lamont ‏ @BBCAlLamont One of Rangers' potential new owners has told BBC Scotland his bid stands, despite proposed changes to SPL sanctions for insolvent clubs. 1h Alasdair Lamont ‏ @BBCAlLamont But Bill Ng, the man leading a consortium from the Far East, says he's unhappy with the goalposts being shifted over the past two weeks. 1h Alasdair Lamont ‏ @BBCAlLamont Bill Ng: "My bottom line is to ensure Rangers continual survival. My bid has been submitted, we stand by what we promised." 1h Alasdair Lamont ‏ @BBCAlLamont "Change of rules does affect the finances of the club, but it does not affect our passion. It is better to know the changes early... Alasdair Lamont ‏ @BBCAlLamont .... than to get surprises after we have done our budget."
  17. I agree with many of the statements questioning whether he is a lifelong Rangers fan, but i'm not bothered whether he is or isn't to be honest, so long as he has the clubs interests at heart. One small point though, the TV listings published show channels 5 and 8 in Singapore, and channels 3 and 10 for Malaysia. Assuming you can pick up both Malaysian and Singapore TV, that leaves channels 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9 not listed on that page. And that's assuming it goes no higher than 10. Also, if you look at the Straits Times that the mhank refers to, on 26 May 1972 on page 30 there was a large report on Rangers victory, so there was obviously detailed coverage of our win. http://newspapers.nl.sg/Digitised/Page/straitstimes19720526.1.30.aspx
  18. The ECWC final wasn't shown live in the UK either as it clashed with a mhanks game i'm sure. Doesn't mean nobody in Scotland ever got the opportunity to watch it.
  19. Regarding Auchenhowie, if it's to be renamed i'd vote for McCoist Park. The jury may be out on his management skills, but he has acted with class and dignity throughout this whole sorry affair and in my opinion has held the club and support together. On top of that he's also brought through a number of youngsters, and whether his hand has been forced or otherwise, hopefully those youngsters can star in years to come. When new owners come they may choose to pick their own manager, and so i'd like to see a lasting tribute to Super Ally, and naming the training ground after him would do that.
  20. Thanks!! Just might be useful in terms of knowing what questions he/she can answer. Looking forward to it!!
  21. What involvement does he have in the bid? Is he a PR rep or is he part of the consortium?
  22. That's what I was thinking given the reports suggesting his dislike for Paul Murray.
  23. I think a lot of fans share the same concerns. TBK seem to be using the supporter groups they've brought onside to promote them and to get people onside. The problem is they keep shooting themselves in the foot. They launch their bid, and then it gets leaked out through the media that they're in bed with Ticketus. It then gets leaked that the minimum investment is going to be around £1,000. It then gets leaked that it's not fan ownership, but rather fan representation on the Board with no details of how that will work or if the fan reps will have a vote. Everything that gets leaked causes widespread concern, and the people they have fighting their corner are then on a firefighting mission, and in response they end up slandering the other bids rather than selling TBK bid. I'm not against TBK, but they have been less than clear with their agenda and we still don't know who TBK are. The people they have singing their praises often cause even more concern and suspision than before, and to me their bids been poorly organised from the start. TBK had the opportunity to unite the support behind them, and they've clearly failed to do that effectively. That doesn't mean they're not the best option, but for me it doesn't look good when they can't organise themselves properly.
  24. But then what would we do with the power? There's so much unknown about all the bids. TBK seem to be a popular choice, particularly on other forums, but every time they've opened their mouth they've caused widespread concern. Whether it's the £1k minimum investment, involving Ticketus, securing assets to fund loans, or other stuff, and we still don't know who they all are or how much they have to invest. Bill Miller appears to be getting slaughtered from all corners, but again despite his PR offensive we still know hardly anything about his bid. As for Bill Ng, I appreciate you've shared a lot of information, and being new to this Forum I may have missed stuff, but I hardly know anything about his bid. Is he part of a consortium? Will he put the club on a sound financial footing or will he chase the dream David Murray chased in the late 90s? Why Rangers?
