I'm not actually trying to defend Craig Whyte here, he clearly didn't care what happened eventually. But I can't see our demise being his actual aim, I think his hope would have been to own a healthy Rangers without having spent a penny himself. As I said, chancing that HMRC would do deals.

Well I don't see what could be. I know Whyte didn't put any money in so was clearly just chancing his luck of HMRC doing a deal, but liquidation being his actual aim I just can't see.

I highly doubt he did, what has he really gained for all the hassle?

Maybe HMRC's policy is also that they say they'll consider a CVA, even if really there's no chance of them accepting.

It's no wonder he failed miserably as a coach.

Why the hell would they not have? A CVA would have made this mess easier for everyone, including Duff and Phelps.
