  1. Certainly not with a decimated team and sanctions, which could include a transfer ban. Think it is time for a higher authority to get involved here.
  2. I take your point about Murray, but to know and do nothing, then punish us for knowing and doing nothing is wrong.
  3. Regan and Doncaster have messed up big time. Their eye has been off the ball. They have been more intent on crucufying Rangers than anything else. If they had managed this properly they would have put the breaks on the SPL clubs making their decisions public, which would have given them a measure of control. Once "democracy" kicked in they lost control. I do not believe they thought the result was a foregone conclusion, given the discusions at the weekend. Regan's disgraceful comment yesterday that Rangers would not be allowed in the SPL (we don't believe you, Regan) has to be seen in the context of todays meeting. In other words, it wasn't happening. The result is a foregone conclusion. Rangers into SFL1 for financial reasons. Doncaster has had months to perfect his "41 club" speech justifying this course of action. The only problem is that it doesn't fit with "sporting integrity" or with the "new democracy". Get out of that one Their handling of this has been incompetent. There should be a vote of no confidnece in these jokers. We can't do it, as we have no league, but I would be very surprised if one was not forthcoming. Footnote Regan knew about Whyte and did nothing and it is possible that he communicated that to Doncaster. I use the word demoracy loosely as one side has not been allowed to campaign in all of this.
  4. The talk at the moment is all about Sky which is an unknown quantity as no-one knows what they will do. What is clearer is an estimation of the gate receipts they will lose without Rangers based on last and previous seasons. I gave up my Sky and ESPN when the sanctions were announced and made my reasons plain to Sky. They have e mailed me and lettered me to entice me back with a cracking 6 month deal. I will miss the Champions League games, the Spanish games and the EPL but I can live without them because the only ones that were must see were the Rangers games. No Rangers, no Sky and I am a grand a year better off which will go to RFC.
  5. Thanks, Frankie, knew it would be something simple
  6. Twitter is the way to go. Unfortunately, I have a twitter account but can't work it! I have tried to put some quesions to Alex Thomson but it didn't work. Too busy on this and other forums and with life in general to get into it just now. But for others who are less technically challenged than myself, get intae it. I can't even find the smilies on here. Help! Some of my posts are being misconstrued because I cannot show a facial expression. Sad, I know, but truthful.
  7. Agree, on that principle but within the existing rules. We were given the maximum fine possible and the illegal transfer ban.
  8. I hope they ask Donald for some advice on this document from the SFA.
  9. That could be because we are bigger than them all combined. Don't forget before Whyte we were paying off the debt and an arrangement had been made with HMRC to pay the small tax case.
  10. I read that they are talking about postponing their meeting tomorrow until after the SFL meeting. I wonder why...... That's right it is so they can have their way one way or another or is it because tomorrow's meeting is pointless or both?
  11. 661 voted in the Motherwell vote. We don't know how many voted in other polls, including our own. I am rather a big fan of democracy and I hope the fans will be given the opportunity to vote on important matters in the future, such as League reconstruction! Not a chance. Anyway, the whole thing is academic as the decision has been taken - SFL1 with sanctions. It is not as if this situation has crept up on them, is it? It is so shambolic it is actually embarrassing. Scottish football is a laughing stock.
  12. But what makes you think they will stick to the rules this time around? Green shouldn't have to ask to use CAS. This document is asking them to accept the outcome full stop. That's my interpretation of it. What if the outcome is to withdraw their registration? We should not give up our rights and should go to CAS before signing. I don't even think it would be legal, given the background to it. Any lawyers on here?
  13. Section 12 points 1 and 3 lay us wide open to it with no recourse to law.
  14. GA Getting it right in the beginning with a measured response would have been accepted in the first place.
  15. Accepting sanctions in relation to Craig Whytes tenure and future sanctions in relation to EBT's. No way would I agree to signing away our right to contest the outcome of a kangaroo court.
  16. I think Regan needs to be asked to explain what is going on here. The SFL have agreed to meet next Thursday to vote on Rangers, prior to the SPL vote which Regan says won't matter anyway! Why bother meeting then? Can someone explain the technicalities of how the SFA can do this? "distorted, taken out of context and leaked to the media" but said nonetheless. Explain yourself, Mr Regan. I am sick of this whole charade.
  17. I don't like this. The last thing we need is to crank up the old firm thing. Celtic's silence has prevented this from happening and I don't see the sense of Brown bringing them into it now unless he is able to back up his claims. If he can't, it is time he shut up.
  18. This guy has been on a personal crusade for months to publish anything he is presented by our enemies to bring us down. His one sided campaign , masquerading as journalism, brings shame on himself and his profession. Go on then, Mr thomson, take on Mr Findlay, but for the sake of your professional integrity do a piece on Celtic's lawyers investigating EBT's and Celtic men in the judicial panel and question whether there is a conflict of interest there?
  19. This guy Regan is something else. He has said nothing for weeks, which is shameful while the rest of Scottish football gets in a frenzy. Ahead of a vote to be held by another organisation tomorrow, he announces the result. I can see what he is up to today. He is telling the SFL, who are quite rightly saying the SPL is passing the buck, that it is not up to the SPL. In other words, more bullying. Regan is a disgrace, he should have shown leadership, been impartial and put the brakes on all of this a long time ago. Now he is reduced to gambling everything in an attempt to reign the monster in. He has failed in his position and should not survive this. His day of reckoning is not far away but that won't help the breakdown of trust that will be left as his legacy.
  20. That's too far. This can't be serious. If this comes to pass CG is on a different planet to me.
  21. Their transfer ban wasn't even legal and they had already ruled out the other sanctions as being too severe. The whole thing was ott to begin with. Morally, this should die a death. Apart from anything else the subsequent events have made it obsolete. We have not been found guilty for EBT's so any punishment in relation to that should be back to the Court of Session. We cannot agree to sign away legal rights and should take this to a higher football authority. The SFA have made a balls up and have been told by UEFA to sort the mess out, but they still can't do it without trying to emasculate Rangers further and give them another kicking.
